I never fail to be pleased by the quality of the Sunday lunch at the Lion. The pub itself is lovely and finished to a good standard and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have never had food here that is less than excellent. Keep it up!

Had a lovely meal cooked by Vivienne, we had the lion burger and chicken goujons, we sat in the garden which was lovely in the sun. Asked for the lion burger to be cooked medium well and it was cooked exactly how we like it, the chicken goujons were cooked perfectly and not dried out. Lots of food and friendly... More

We were greeted and looked after by Chelsea who was very attentive. Lovely atmosphere, superb food, great service. Nothing was to much trouble, when we asked for more bread, it was brought over immediately. We have eaten here many times and also celebrated our birthday in the function room 10/10 Golden Lion. Highly recommend

Called in for lunch on a sunny Thursday. New Italian chef in place with a great, fresh menu which accommodates vegetarian and vegan dishes. Good solid traditional dishes which a village pub should deliver but the new fresh approach is a delight. Try it you will not be disappointed, Louise will help you navigate through the new menu and suggest... More

Lovely afternoon in the Lion. Great new decor (v comfy chairs). Barman (Jamie) was brilliant, excellent service. Louise the owner was fabulous (a first class host). Great choice of wine, gin, beer etc. Didn't try the food, but the menu looked very good. I'll be back!

What a fantastic little pub, my partner and I have lived in the village for a while and had only been in for a drink. He booked the table as a surprise. The dining area is lovely and away from the bar. The food was absolutely incredible, my partner had a steak which was cooked to perfection and I had... More
