We stayed here the first week of the school summer holidays under covid restrictions. We payed the £50 to arrive at 1pm and checked in online both we found well worth it for ease of driving in, it wasnt busy and we could get organised and familiarise ourselves before teatime. The website is so easy to use and the app is easy to use onsite. We prebooked our activities which was easy to do and well organised. We were placed in a caravan close to the little play park which was handy and a very short walk down to the beach which is easy to get onto beautifully clean, quiet and sandy. Unfortunately the railway right behind us is busy, loud and trains were running well past midnight and start early morning, luckily the kids sleep through it but i found it distracting on the first night. Our caravan is warm, very clean and quite well provisioned for cooking utensils. We are blessed with a full sized fridge and freezer and there was ice in the freezer on arrival which was lovely for a pimms when we got there. We ordered a sainsburys delivery which worked out perfect for the driver locating us. The shower is lovely warm and quite strong which is perfect after a dip in the sea. Weve had a wonky toilet seat and power outage but both incidences have been fixed super quick. The restaurant is lovely and food is really varied and really nice.
Things weve found a bit rubbish is the kids evening entertainment. It might be covid restriction related and we only went once but my kids didnt find a massive blue rat telling a boring story engaging. The other thing is the swimming pool was shut when wed booked in to go and we werent informed and having the kids in their swimming costumes ready with all their stuff and having to walk away was hard work and maybe could have been avoided.
Worth a visit off site is the parc y bocs farm shop and cafe probably 10 minutes drive (but most of that on the little windy single track road out of the holiday park) we hadnt booked and they found us a space (you really ought to book) food and cake was delicious delivered quick and at a decent temp for the kids and it had a bonus lovely play area which my 5 year old and 3 year old (if she really wanted) could navigate and play very independently and chickens to have a look at. It was a really good find. We also went up to the waterfall at trimsaran which was a short drive and a very little pretty easy walk for little legs and a quite interesting nod to the local mining history.
All in all this is a lovely, not too busy, comfortable very pretty area to be and a lovely little holiday for wee ones.

Omg what an amazing chalet I stayed in gas fired heating spotless morden trendy you would never think they like that inside 3bedrooms honest I cant complain was like a hired cottage for the weekend with a wonderful beach view. Club house bizzy but good entertainment food ok would of liked more chips on my plate and pool great for our young children which my holidays are for them. Good park and I can say the top end of the chalets where I stayed was amazing for all the people that give negative feed back on them have you stayed in one? Thank you will book again.

The park is set in a beautiful setting with the Channel to one side and rolling hills to the other. The park is clean tidy and well-maintained.
The caravan we had a Breeze duleux was brilliant, modern, comfortable and all the space you need for 6.
The cleaning team did a good job the caravan was spotless and smelled clean.

The shop on site was well stocked and there is a Londis in the village a few mins away if you needed something else.

The staff were friendly and approachable and great with the kids especially pinky.

The social distancing policy in the po was ideal and should be kept as it was far far more enjoyable with the smaller numbers.

The food was good price, good portions amd tasted good. The view from the dinner was awesome.

From the hands free arrival and seeing the cleaning crew constantly wiping down surfaces gave you a sense of security, that the COVID situation was being taken seriously.

There was plenty of dog waste bins around the park and some great walks near by for our 4 legged friends. Obviously you do get the arrogant dog owner who doesn't clean up after their dog 🙄 but there are no excuse for those people.

The linked bingo was fun and the quiz via your phone was brilliant, although temperamental.

Very enjoyable experience will go back again thanks to all at the park.

We spent a week at Carmarthen bay holiday park in a mobile home, the type we booked was Gwendreath, it was really lovely. Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable.
The whole park was very clean and kept to a high standard. Excellent onsite facilities for kids including an indoor pool, playground, soft play, plenty of games and activities for entertainment.
The food served at the Boathouse was outstanding and the service was excellent. All staff we met at the holiday park were great, so friendly and eager to help!
I read some very poor reviews prior to arrival so I was apprehensive but our experience here was wonderful, I'd definitely recommend it and would definitely come back another time. The area is very remote, you really need a car.

Following our first ever visit to, and stay at Carmarthen Bay in April, my partner and I were so impressed that we decided to purchase a caravan.

The location, on the estuary, is absolutely beautiful, and to date we've found it to be very peaceful; but plenty of activity available should you want it.

Initially we were struck by the cleanliness of the site, and impressed by how well it's kept (grass cutting, litter picking etc), but the helpful, can do attitude of all the staff we came across was just amazing. For example, Danny on security helped us out of hours when we had an issue with our gas, even calling back to check it was okay. But having spent more time here, we've been especially impressed with the excellent, and consistent customer service of a number of the site staff.

We were looking in the West Wales area to purchase, but Dave Quinn really sealed the deal for us. He was brilliant! There was no hard sell, we discussed budget and he adhered to that, showing us some great options but saving the best til last. He was friendly, welcoming, very helpful, and made the whole purchase experience easy, but with absolutely no pressure.

Having taken over our new caravan (new to us but second hand), we experienced a few snagging issues, and so we met Mike, who carries out maintenance for the sales team. What an absolute gem of an employee he is! He was amazing, nothing is too much trouble and he always delivers on his promises - he even came back out of hours because he'd had an issue with our TV aerial that had been bothering him. Always friendly, he never fobbed us off or made us feel we were a nuisance (which I'm sure we were, if only a little bit!) Thanks Mike, you're an absolute star 🌟

On to the lovely bar and restaurant, situated in a delightful position overlooking the estuary. The majority of staff are lovely; very friendly, welcoming and helpful. But two in particular really stand out, Celyn and Jemma. Their customer service is outstanding, and they both go the extra mile to help, and ensure all your needs are met. Jemma also works in the reception area, and really is a joy to deal with.

We've not yet attended a show - with Covid these are just coming in to play, but have played bingo a few times, which has always been great fun, helped along by members of staff. It's well organised in the main show/event room, where you're booked in and shown to a seat.
The food and drink app is great, and very easy to master once downloaded, and staff always seem willing to help anyone struggling.
We are loving our time here, and couldn't recommend enough.

just come home from another fantastic holiday. staff are mostly friendly (one or two were actually rude and patronising)
I saw touching points being cleaned regularly and when the fire alarm went off, it was dealt with, quickly and efficiently.
I noticed a few safety measure had been put in place for covid that didn't make sense, face masks were being worn under the chin until approaching the table-this means if the person carrying food and drinks are positive, they'd have spread positive particles over the food and drink, covid is not soley transmited person to person.
server's would not place food and drinks on the table despite the fact that the same tray I loaded my dirty dishes onto was then used to carry someone's drinks without being cleaned in between. I noticed this happen a fair few times.
lastly the use of the app, only 1 day out of my 4 was the app working fine, many times we wanted to order food but found a lot of the stuff was grey and couldn't be ordered. I heard a customer bring this to the staffs attention and she done something with the till and it all reappeared again, if this is a known problem, it would be good for staff to check regularly as we ended up ordering takeaway to our chalet to avoid eating the same stuff we'd eaten there the day before.
overall it was fantastic and can be a low budget holiday if you want to make it. most mornings my daughter wanted to litter pick on the beach and look at jellyfish, they have a lovely small soft place area in the restaurant with a 1m height restriction (however I saw older kids playing and they seemed to have fun as well)
the pool needs to be booked and your given 45mins which I think is a perfect amount of time.
currently no evening entertainment for the kids aside from a film, one evening I wondered down to have a see and there was literally no one in there.
the park is a short drive to folly farm or oakwood if you wanted a big day out.
the shop on site closes at 8pm which I thought was reasonable however its extremely overpriced so if you can, take things with you to avoid using it.

We arrived just after 4pm on Friday to a lovely clean caravan in the far end of the park. The train track was right behind our caravan but really didn’t cause us any issues - our 2 year old was never bothered by passing trains day or night so don’t let this put you off. Our holiday home was clean, spacious and had a veranda (St Ishmaels park P59). We used our holiday home as a base during the weekend and didn’t spend much time on park, however I did pop into the venue for a game of bingo and a drink on Sunday evening and had a nice hour out - friendly entertainment and bar staff. The grounds around the park are well maintained, the bin bay in front of our caravan was full/overflowing everyday but grounds staff came around regularly emptying and keeping the area tidy. We went to Pembrey country park and beach which is a short drive away, that’s a lovely day out on a fine sunny day. Also went to Laugharne in the opposite direction which was also a lovely day out. I booked a 2021 holiday in Cornwall with a reception team member before I left and she was helpful, so all in all a good weekend - thank you Carmarthen Bay.

A weekend break. Straight into the accommodation, nice and easy. Not a good first reaction to the caravan. Kids hand prints, drawings and smudges all over the windows ..... a lot!! Tea splattered all up the kettle. Bean juice splattered up the kitchen door. When we came to make a cuppa, there was tea around the rim where someone had rinsed and put the cup away. After this, we washed every piece of crockery/cutlery before use.

Our milk leaked onto the floor. We cleaned it up with some kitchen roll, the kitchen roll was black, the floor looks ok but was filthy.

So much for the Covid-19 extra special cleaning routine!!

First afternoon we had a lovely coffee in the Boathouse. It was very nice and relaxing.

Evening meal in the Boathouse. Problem with the app, went to the bar, my order was copied from my phone (via app). Once the food delivered, found an item had been missed off my order.

The food is overpriced, lukewarm and a couple of the meals were quite sparce and tasteless. We ordered an indian takeaway for our next night's evening meal.

For our last day, we thought we'd relax and spend the date in the amusements, they're ok, and have a sit again in the Boathouse with coffees for the afternoon. The coffee machine wasn't working. We asked about four things off the daytime menu, not available. The app mentions an all day breakfast .... not available in this park. We ended up with fish and chips, it was alright.

Unfortunately my review does seem very negative but it was more negative than positive. We did enjoy our stay. I hadn't seen my sister for three years (Covid) so we met up here for the weekend and had a great time, unfortunately, nothing impressed me enough to return to the park.

There is no mention of the train that goes right past early morning, all day and into the night. It sounds as if it's literally right next to you.

Shop ok, expensive as you would expect.

Went on a 4 day holiday at the end of july reluctantly with the ongoing issue as was very scared about health and safety measures. Check in service was a shambles with 2 people and clip boards in hand and was told by the gentleman that our caravan wouldn't be ready for another hour even though we had arrived past the 4pm check in time. Caravan was ok on the whole however had to re clean the fridge as it had stains and parts of left over food in it even though on their website states thorough cleaning is done before and after each visit. Due to not being able to find many local food restaurants open we had to eat from the restaurant which we felt was very overpriced and most dishes quite dry and of poor taste. We did manage to find a aldi in the next town so stocked up. The beach was ok if you dont mind locals driving up and down in their cars and on jet skis. The site shop nisa was good and the staff very helpful. On departure day 10am checkout woke up to see a black bin bag underneath caravan of new linens left there for the next people which I thought was very disappointing. Tried a number of times on phone and messages to get another date rearranged or part refund due to lack of facilities and entertainment to no avail including emails to head office. I wouldn't recommend it and will not be using park dean again.

We’re sorry your caravan wasn’t up to your standard, but we have passed along your comments to our accommodation team. Your comments in regards to our restaurant have also been passed along. Our estuary is a local hot spot for tourists and locals to use their jet skis and boats as it is safer for them. Many people enjoy watching them. We find it is easier to get hold of the park directly for any future queries, we’re more than happy to help here. Thank you for your feedback. Zoe

Booked in for a week to a ‘compact’ caravan new this year after original holiday cancelled due to corona. The van was clean, new and comfortable but I must say that the 2nd bedroom was so small that my teenage son (15) couldn’t fit on the bed let alone sleep on it. This was disappointing and the fact that not full size singles should have been clearer from
The adverts. The park is right on the beach (estuary rather than beach) which was clean and full of rock pools .. great for exploring when tide out.
Restaurant and park staff were amazing especially considering the situation. Food fantastic.
Only complaints other than size of 2nd room , Don’t book near park as kids screaming and playing until past 11pm. Foul language and big groups which was intimidating for other kids. The train track is also very near park although we found it not too noisy.
Finally the park is quite far out from local shops down a single lane road so a great place if happy to be exploring the beach and relaxing. Not so good if you want to go out loads. Would recommend - Just check size of caravan beds and don’t book near the park.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback, we take all our comments on board. Our standard caravans are a 28 x10 ft caravan, for the extra space you may be better with our extra wide caravans to give you slightly more room. The estuary is great for exploring, so glad you were able to do that. Again, your comments regards to foul language has been taken on board and our security team have been made aware. Our park is very remote here, which some people enjoy. Thank you. ^ZS
