Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

William at Waungadog Farm is very welcoming and is a great source of information. His adults only site has flat and spacious pitches in a lovely setting, but within easy reach of Kidwelly, by foot, bike or car.
It is a very good area for exploring by bike.
The facilities are maintained to a very high standard, beautifully clean. The entire site was immaculate.
We stayed for four nights and would certainly recommend a visit.

My boyfriend and I camped at Waungadog farm last August and had 3 great nights whilst visiting Ffos Las racecourse. William made us very welcome and the facilities at the site are outstanding. Toilets/Showers spotlessly clean and the whole site kept immaculate. We booked to return in May this year but the trip has been cancelled due to Covid19. Without even having to ask William reference a deposit refund, I received a cheque in the post today with a full refund. Amazing customer service. Will definitely be visiting as soon as the site is open again abc would highly recommend this place.

My partner and I have been staying on/off a seasonal pitch since the site reopened in June. Beautiful site, immaculately kept..both the grounds and facilities by William & his wife Sandra, the owners. Lots of space for awning and caravan. Short walk to local food store and Kidwelly attractions, and fabulous coastal and country walks. Really friendly and helpful hosts. If you're looking for a peaceful, friendly site this is one of the best...a real haven

Wonderfully clean site with very flat pitches with good drainage. The owner is always on hand to help out.
The facilities were closed when we were there but they looked very clean.
Just a short walk into the town centre with shops and pubs.
This is an adults only site, lovely for a quiet weekend or longer.
If you have dogs, there are lovely walks right next to the site.
Hopefully, we shall return in the autumn.

We have recently returned from a 5-night stay at this site which we opted to visit primarily because it clearly advertises itself (via all means) as being ADULT ONLY. Please be warned – this is certainly not the case! It transpired that there were at least 5 children staying on this site during our stay. On addressing this with the owner, he admitted that the site became an adult only site the previous year. He confessed that he had agreed to allow clients with seasonal pitches to continue to have their children/grandchildren, etc stay with them. We were offered the option of relocating but we were all in agreement that because we were already set up with awning attached, this would not be worth the upheaval. We felt extremely exasperated and disappointed, not to mention misled. We don’t dislike children whatsoever; we quite often opt for adult only sites because we look for peace and tranquillity – which we rarely have at home. It wasn’t even as if the seasonal pitches were all grouped together in one area – they were mixed in along with touring pitches, hence there was no escape.

On a separate note, the shower/toilet facilities are good, although would perhaps benefit from additional single toilets at busy times. It’s a luxury to have combined shower and toilet rooms on a midsize site although it’s not so great when this is to the site’s detriment because access to one or other facility is reduced. There is a dog walk (bridle path) of such but this would benefit from signage and the provision of dog waste bins. We were advised to use the normal waste wheelie bins for dog waste (bagged) as there are none on site. There also didn’t appear to be any recycling facilities which was disappointing. The pitches are well spaced and EHU is available. There appeared to be only one fresh water collection point and for a site of this size, we would have expected more to have been available. There is an easy 10/15 minute walk direct from the site along a footpath into Kidwelly which has a decent sized Co-op. All in all however we will not return.

Overall this had good points and a few downsides.
Pro's
Small site, very nice owner (Ian) All new amenities, toilets etc. Good views and close to town of Kidwelly and tons of other stuff in the area.
Con's
Absolutely no TV signal at the bottom of the field. Some seasonal pitches had bought their own poles and standalone aerials. Wouldn't normally be over fussed about the tele but during 4 days of pretty bad rain, the tele gets more and more important!!
Also very dodgy phone signal on EE/Orange/Tmobile. Absolutely no chance of internet.
Finally the power supply is only 10 amp. We had inadvertently switched on our central heating and with that we couldn't use anything else, not, the kettle, grill or microwave. Other people were used to it but said they got used to switching some things off before turning something else on. We haven't had that before having been lucky enough to always have 16 amp power.
Back to Ian, he really is a decent bloke, full of knowledge of the local area, and keeping the site immaculate. I think the power should be increased given the daily charge, but if you go and just accept that, then crack on.

A great little site set just outside Kidwelly. Friendly atmosphere. Ian the proprietor very friendly and helpful. Electric hook ups. At the moment only small toilet block. But always seemed empty. New ones being built. Definitely use again.

Very good, adults only site with amazing views over Kidwelly Castle and Carmarthen Bay. Friendly greeting on arrival from the owners who always had time for a chat and had excellent local knowledge.
Two wash blocks, both roomy and clean with fully adjustable showers in proper cubicles. Each had washing up facilities. The pitch was spacious in a field with beautiful views and easy distance to both amenity blocks. There is a large Co-Op 5 minutes by car and 15 minutes easy walk. Walk 15 minutes in the opposite direction and you are in Kidwelly. Kidwelly has train and bus links to many local towns, Chinese, Indian, Pizza/kebab takeaways and one of the Chinese does Fish and Chips.
Many walking and cycling routes are close by, the local beaches are breathtaking and the seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot are nearby. Carmarthen (bus or rail links if you don't want to use the car) is well worth a visit.

I have just got back from a camping weekend at Waungadog Farm. My family, myself and two dogs had a great stay. The site is really well situated as is close to some great beaches, a castle and some lovely pubs. The public areas are very clean and tidy as are the pitches. Ian the chap in charge is friendly and helpful. I gave it a well deserved 5 stars!

Easy to find (just off the by-pass). Nice soft grass with loads of space for our tent, car, swingball, washing, and the rest of the gubbins we took. Big area in the middle of the tent field for the kids to play. Toilets and showers very clean. Two separate rooms - one for men and one for women. Each with 2 showers, 2 toilets, washing up sink and a washing machine. Could have done with a tumble drier but that's only because the weather was rubbish. They were in the process of finishing another washing/ toilet block in between the caravan and tent field. Never had to queue for anything though. Friendly staff with good local knowledge (particularly the best places to eat, shop and visit).
