The Falcondale hotel and 2AA rosette restaurant near the University town of Lampeter is only 30 minutes from the coastal villages of Cardigan Bay and hilly, marshy regions of the Cambrian Mountains. A wealth of walking, cycling, fishing, and open gardens within easy reach of this central location in Wales. Why not visit the local National Trust before sinking into a warm, comfy sofa in the lounge with a glass, or two, of wine.

My partner surprised me with a two night stay at the Falcondale for my 30th. It was majorly out in the sticks and fairly quiet (probably the time of year) however, it was such a lovely peaceful and chilled weekend. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in room 8 and

We had been given a voucher to spend at the Falcondale. On the verge of its expiry we decided to use it straight after new year. The hotel was quiet, but all the amenities were available, and we enjoyed the warm large bedroom as a base to sit and read, the lounge by the fire as

The food and service was superb and the whole break was extremely well organized. What really makes this a special break is the flexibility. You can stay as many nights as you want and take as many meals as you want. In my experience this is rare for Christmas breaks. Returning

Sorry for the delay. I can not vouch for all the rooms but I can confirm that the room I stayed in with my husband on our last visit had a kingsize bed and a dog bed for our greyhound. The dog was most impressed with the facilities as were we. The Falcondale is a lovely hotel set in beautiful countryside. I am sure you will enjoy a stay there. p.s... The food was fab.
