Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I really cannot speak highly enough about this place. It is set in Abercastle which is a beautiful seaside village with its own beach. We stayed on the campsite this time for two weeks in our caravan but we have also stayed in the self catering accommodation in the past.
The campsite is small and homely. It is run really well by Annie who is so helpful. She has recently upgraded all pitches so that they have both electricity and water. All pitches have their own picnic table and fire pit.
She has extensive Covid plans in place and if you do not have a caravan with onboard facilities you are either given a personally allocated toilet/ shower room or on-pitch toilet and shower facilities.
We had a fantastic stay travelling to nearby locations such as Strumble Head (where we saw dolphins & seals) and Abereiddi Beach where we jumped off rocks into the Blue Lagoon.
I would love to keep this one to myself but I'm not going to, go there.... you'll fall in love with the place.....

We had never had a holiday in a B&B before, and were not quite sure whether it would work for us - a crusty couple and dog. We had an amazing 9 days and 9 peaceful, comfortable nights. The breakfasts were the best I have ever had in a hotel/guest house or restaurant. Annie runs her premises with a generous, thoughtful and kind spirit which cannot fail to charm. We felt so comfortable, cared about and relaxed and it was largely down to thoughtful, meticulous hosting. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to visit again. Haven't mentioned the amazing location, brilliant walks, wondeful sunsets, quiet accessible garden, dog friendliness etc. Brilliant. Thank you so much, Annie, we will be back soon!

We stayed at this lovely B&B for our anniversary celebration. The host was extremely welcoming and organised. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The B&B is close to other villages with a nice restaurants and pubs; not to mention close to the coastal path. Could not recommend highly enough.

Quiet campsite with huge pitches and five-star washing blocks run by a very friendly lady. Five minutes' walk down a lane to the picturesque hamlet of Abercastle with its quaint harbour, which was quiet even at the end of July.

Perfect for coastal path walking - the path both left and right from near the site is stunning, with spectacular rocks, the occasional hidden beach and seals aplenty.

This was our 3rd stay at Y Garn cottage and ,once again ,we weren't disappointed. The location is fantastic for us ,our kids and 2 newfoundland dogs with plenty of coastal walks and dog friendly beaches in the area. The cottage is extremely comfortable and spacious with a great enclosed garden . We really appreciated the extra touches on arrival such as the bottle of wine & chocolate cake left by Anne the owner. The children particulary loved the huge 'star' bed under the skylight window , and couldn't wait to go to sleep each night!
Y Garn is by far the best self-catering accomodation that we have ever stayed in and we will definitely be back again. Thanks for a great week !!

My 3 sisters and I stayed with our families for a week in July and booked the bed and breakfast as self catering for 17 of us. Our party consisted of 10 chiildren ranging form 8 to 15 and 7 adults. WE all had a fantastic time, the accomodation worked brilliantlyand we loved the industrial kitchen in which we made some amazing meals and also cooked on the fire pit, sitting out late at night drinking wine and reflecting on our days spent on the beaches boogie boarding, reading books, playing games on the beaches and the great walks with the dog. The men in our party were keen cyclists and they found some great routes and the teenagers loved the beaches and large waves, plus they could still access face book in the evenings! we even managed to find a takeaway to deliver! the accomadation was five star, Anne was a great host and we all had a memorable holiday.Best desribed as south wales best kept secret, we all loved it!!

Ann and her team are fabulous hosts to all their guests, and the whole set-up is fantastic. We returned yesterday from a weekend camping on her site with ample hook-ups, a fab B & B that we regretted not booking after it literally piddled down on both nights, and her B & B was very clean, and well kempt. Will be back again with my wife.

Garn Gwely campsite is a gem set in the most beautiful location.

Pembrokeshire was a completely new destination to us and we were bowled over by how quiet and beautiful it was.

The campsite is set off a lane very close to Abercastle cove which is a 8 minute walk down the hill.

Anne, who owns the site, is the most perfect host - always happy to offer advice.

We had a really large pitch with high banks on either side - plenty of room for our Outwell Bearlake 6 including front extension.

There are 3 separate washrooms at the site. Each one houses a shower, toilet and washing up area. All kept very clean. Other reviews have commented on the layout - it's different but workable.

We took kayaks - you can launch from the cove which is very safe for swimming too.

Fantastic beaches in the area - we went to several which were all great (Whitesands, Poppit Sands, Wisemans Bridge, Newgale Beach, Aber Bach & Portmeigan) but the best one we found was just west of Porthgain called Traeth Llyfn (park at Porthgain and its a 20 mins walk but well worth it)

The coastal path is accessible at Abercastle and is arguably the best one in the country.

For an inland walk, try Foel Cwmcerwyn which is the highest point in Pembrokeshire - absolutely breathtaking.

We also did a lovely bike ride from Haverfordwest to Neyland - all off road through amazing countryside.

Also recommend Nolton Stables for horseriding on the beach.

We ate out twice at the Farmers Arms in Mathry which was excellent value and we also had breakfast on our last day at the Mill at Trefin (possibly the best breakfast in Wales?)

All in all, we had a terrific holiday (bolstered by the best summer Wales has known for 20 years).

I would thoroughly recommend this site and the area.

I stayed here for 6 nights with my three shelties during July2018. It is just perfect. The rooms are spotless. The bed sooooo comfortable. The breakfasts are superb . The quietness is just so wonderful and the surrounding countryside is superb. One evening Anne had a friend drop by ,as he was off to rescue a gannet in distress on the beach. Anne is a wonderful hostess. Preparing to return home ,a 7 1/ 2 hour drive . I planned to leave early because of the heat and the dogs in the car and asked Anne if she would kindly leave a sandwich for me as I would not be requiring breakfast . Anne very kindly provided me with breakfast at 6.00am .Anne is superb .
