We phoned and booked for three nights for our 50th wedding anniversary, but after driving 150 miles , only to be told they had no record of our booking and no availability. Perhaps call again the day before travelling to double-check they haven’t lost your booking! What a let down!

After a long wet and hilly cycle ride from St David's last Wednesday, myself, my partner & our two good friends were delighted to find somewhere that served such amazing food on a dark, dank evening having had the restaurant recommended to us by our great local B&B. Myself and my friend both had the most melt-in-your-mouth lamb shoulder with really tasty gravy, dauphinoise potatoes & veg (all vibrant green & fresh! :) my partner had a really lovely chicken dish with a gorgeous creamy leek sauce (I know because I tried his as well) & my friends' husband had beautifully cooked slow roasted pork belly (he didn't offer any of his as he was enjoying it too much!). We would like to congratulate the chef on producing such amazing food which we would thoroughly recommend especially being at average/comparative prices which was served to us by helpful George (of the Peppa Pig fame!) & his colleague.

Visited here for food whilst staying in the area. A very interesting old hotel and pub with a great atmosphere. We didn’t actually stay at the hotel so can’t comment on the accommodation side but the pub part was fantastic. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. If you are looking somewhere for an informal evening meal then I highly recommend trying this place.

Spent a week in room 10. (Not a room with a view.) Staff frendly and warm. They went out of their way to help. I felt much welcomed. Food was excellent. Pity that I Icouldn't explore surroundings more. Would love to return.

Waitress and chef were very friendly but really disappointed with the barman/landlord - didn't really want to engage or answer questions. Food was quite good but over priced. Quite a good selection on the menu and good choice of beers. Could be a perfect place
