Our stay at the Old Kings Arms, a 16th century coaching inn, was one of the most enjoyable of our recent holiday through Wales. The inn and pub are charming and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. A good sized car-park at the rear of the building provides free and easy parking for guests. Our room (room 22, a standard double) was in the newer part of the building. It was spacious, extremely clean, and very comfortable. It was a bit plain, but that in no way took from the enjoyment of our stay. We enjoyed a late afternoon drink in the pub as well as a delicious dinner in the restaurant. We spoke at length with the gentleman at the reception desk following dinner, and he even took it upon himself to follow up with some print-outs of information we had discussed and loaned us a full guide book for Pembroke Castle. The included full English breakfast provided us a great start to the day before heading out to explore the amazing Pembroke Castle, which was less than a five minute walk away. We were very sorry that we only had one night here, and will definitely be back some day.

Called in for an unbooked dinner after a dreadful experience down the road. Really welcomed when we entered the lounge. My wife had sea bass with pak choi, dauphinoise potatoes and crab cake. I had the 10oz sirloin with mushrooms and chios, I asked for the tomatoes to be swapped for peas, no problem. Washed down with a nice house red wine. The welcome and service was great and we all had a laugh as well. Thanks very much we loved it

Stayed for 3 Nights . Room was a little Dated , but that wasn't a Bad thing . Very Comfy , Bed ,Bedding were lovly and clean ,well yes to be expected I know. Shower in Bath , was very powerful. Also nice and quiet. The Staff were so friendly , and helpful . Breakfast one of the Best we have had in any Hotel, Try The Omelets. We had 2 Evening Dinners , well can't speak Highly Enough absolutely excellent, Fresh , and The Portions well outstanding , Fish Menu was so excellent as I am not a Meat Eater , I honestly could not fault it one bit , The Chef is Top of his Game . My Husband Gammon was enjoyed, as was his Rump of Lamb. It was so, so, lovly to have Homemade Puddings , Delious, Faultless. Roy lovly to Chat to , and should be very Proud of Team he has. It was a pleasure to stay at Your Inn, Friendly, Comfortable, Food Exceptional, so many Pubs /Hotels are just Generic, with People that haven't got there Heart in what they are doing . Not So with Old Kings Arms Hotel.

We sat in the restaurant, rather than the bar. The food was fantastic, hearty and home cooked. The service was also fab, fast and friendly. Would recommend it to anyone. Might come again tomorrow....

A very disappointing visit here. The meal was lovely but the staff and atmosphere was really off. No music, deathly quiet. Guy behind the bar was very abrupt. There was a crowd of drunken oldies that were arguing with each other quite loudly which no one corrected. We moved to the other room which was still like a library. This place has the potential to be really cosy but we left asap to get some life elsewhere!

I was on a brief family visit to Pembroke and stayed overnight at the Old Kings Arms. A friendly welcome and a very well-appointed room with an extremely comfortable bed. Old paintings and artefacts are all around, which give a good sense of history. The restaurant is a high point and we had a fantastic supper - flavourful and well-cooked food - in a historic space with antique furniture; and I had a very good breakfast, everything nicely laid out, a lot of attention to detail. The reception and waiting staff were helpful and professional and kind, and made me very welcome. Highly recommended!

I booked and stayed at the hotel due to working near Pembroke. I cannot praise the friendly welcome on my arrival enough. The staff/owner are a welcome start to the stay. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are large with large comfy king size beds. The hotel has what you call a lot of old world charm. I would highly recommend this hotel if you visit Pembroke or the surrounding area.

I travelled over from Ireland to attend an Agri trade show on the 17/18th August so I stayed in the Kings arms for two evening. I found the staff to be extremely pleasant. The bedroom was well presented and had a good selection of channels on the tv. I had dinner on both evenings and the standard of food was exceptional. Breakfast was served by a very pleasant man and the food choice was very good. I most definitely would stay here again in future.

A very warm welcome and efficient checking in. Good sized bedroom and bathroom. Comfy bed, plenty of tea and coffee available in the room. Excellent breakfasts served by a very polite member of staff. All staff were professional and polite with the odd bit of banter! Excellent evening food with option of eating outside in the courtyard. We were walking the Wales Coast Path and spent 4 very enjoyable nights at this hotel.
