Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is a little dated but very clean, room was spacious with a double and a single bed, very covid friendly, we had food in the bar in the evening and it was really good value for money and really good food, didn't sleep very well as mattress was very hard but some people like hard beds (I don't ) noise from outside was not pleasant as we were in a family room which was above the front entrance and beer garden where customers went to smoke I assume and chat, so we couldn't get off to sleep for a while, not hotels fault though. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh and plenty of it. Hosts were lovely couldn't fault any of the staff that we met during our stay. Would visit again, central location with large shop opposite and play park down the street. Thank you to all the staff.

Fair two star rooms well presented with tea coffee ect hairdryer tv ,clean and good for a few days .Be aware some of the rooms are in the roof space and are accessed by a steep flight of narrow stairs not great if you have a big suitcase . The breakfast room needs a update ,food was as expected served hot which is great. Not the best breakfast ever but will keep you going for a while .Well situated just a short stroll to the city centre parking no issue does need a tidy up outside number of large pots with dead plants moving them would make the place look a lot better overall a good stay given the price

My girlfriend and I popped in recently hoping for a game of darts and were presented with darts, pool table and jukebox. Unpretentious pub with nice staff and friendly clientele. Also shows a lot of sport and has a nice smoking area. Recommend for a good knees up.

Had an overnight stop, so was looking for a reasonabley priced central location. City Inn was great, really good prices, for a clean comfortable room and spacious bathroom. Quiet and relaxing, we had a room at the back of the hotel. The hotel has really good Covid safety measures in place and unlike many others they will change towels and empty bins and gave made excellent safety measures to do it.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you.
There is also the added bonus of plenty of free parking, so convenient for a central location, I would definately return if I visit St Davids again.

We checked in after a day of travel, eager to explore St. Davids. The smell hit us immediately when we walked in - a mixture of deep fryer and ash tray. The smell alone was terrible. Our room was above the kitchen. When I complained, the owner's wife said, "but I didn't start the deep fryer until 4:30!" Yeah, she knew right away what the smell was coming from - apparently others complained before us. The decor in the common rooms is outdated and dark. This is not a welcoming place. We were lucky enough to find another place, and did not end up staying the night. There are far better locations in St. Davids, find one of them an avoid this place.

Really friendly owners and staff. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. The breakfast was delicious and the vegan option of a full cooked breakfast with good quality sausages. A good supply of coffee and juice to help yourself to.
Ideally situated close to town.
Would definitely book again if visiting St David's.

On entering the City Inn we were greeted by the awful smell of a mixture of cigarettes and damp. Not a good start but the room itself appeared spotless, however the mattress was very lumpy and you could feel the springs and i ended up sleeping with a pillow underneath me. The shower was only any good if you held the handset because on the rail it just dribbled water everywhere. The tv was so high up the wall it was almost impossible to view without straining your neck. I could go on and on saying what was wrong but it was ok for a 2 night stay and the continental breakfast we had delivered to the room was delicious. Overall the hotel is in need of some serious updating and new decor.

Located close to the city centre and cathedral. Good Covid precautions Reasonable standard of room with all essential facilities, but somewhat dated. Breakfast choices reasonable, as is quality. Staff are generally helpful.

Great location.
Excellent water (Marvellous for shaving!)
Friendly staff
Tasty Breakfast
Nisa Store opposite.
Well made road with footpaths.
BUT

1, Bring your own mattress. The one in room three dates to the late 70s. I had wretched sleepless nights.

2, The partition wall has no sound insulation. My neighbours in room 4 have an active amorous life. I may as well been in with them helping out. ( I learnt some new Welsh words - so it wasn't all bad!)

3, Free Wi-Fi. Technically yes. But as I (or rather my brand new ThinkPad) couldn't connect I suppose it was free. This was a holiday - I was not interested in diagnosing problems.
