Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked 5 rooms for a night to celebrate my Dads 80th birthday. It was exceptional on every level, absolutely nothing was less than perfect. Rooms, location and especially the breakfast was absolutely amazing. Thank you, we will definitely return.

Everything about this property is fabulous. It was so tranquil and beautiful - inside and out. Our room was amazing. The whole hotel has been beautifully decorated and refurbished to an extremely high standard. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable and the staff were extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here. We felt very relaxed both during and after our stay.

Stayed for one night whilst attending a concert at St David’s Catherdral. A beautiful hotel with lots of original features. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Lots of nice touches like slippers, dressing gown and a coffee machine. The continental breakfast had plenty of choice and certainly did not miss the cooked option. Very conveniently located to the Cathedral and Whitesands Beach.

What a beautiful building absolutely loved that the character had been kept but with a modern touch the room was so warm and comfortable especially as the weather was so dreadful. The staff are so friendly and the continental breakfast had a good choice we thoroughly enjoyed. I loved the little touch of the monitor in the hallway just loved looking at the wildlife .Will definitely return . PS Thanks for my lovely chocolates and birthday card.x

An utterly beautiful hotel and a completely perfect stay. Only a few rooms with large lounge and honesty bar made you feel like you were in the most wonderful home. Breakfast was beautiful. You can pay an extra £5 for a full cooked breakfast at the sister hotel but we opted for the continental at Penrhiw and were glad we did. I messaged to say I had a dairy intolerance and to ask if I could have some dairy free milk for breakfast. Not only did they provide that, but dairy free yoghurt, spread and vegan croissants along with dairy free milk in the room fridge. The bed was really comfy and we slept well because of this and the peaceful location. 10 mins max walk into St Davids. Would stay again in a heartbeat. It was perfect.

This is an exceptional property in a lovely little town. We’ve been staying at guest houses all through Wales and this is by far the nicest one (and less expensive than many of them). So many nice touches. The bedding, the fluffy towels and robes, stocked tea, coffee, and snacks in the room, an honor bar, a large common room, and the property itself is just beautiful.

One of those places you just want to keep to yourself and it was just ourselves there overnight. A beautiful hotel with a stunning room and a great continental breakfast to start the day. If you want a chance to let yourself in through the front door, explore and wander around the building and grounds relax in a lounge with an honesty bar this is perfect. There are no staff overnight and the guests are left to themselves to enjoy the surroundings. Very comfy and cosy bedroom with lots of beautiful touches and a stunning bathroom. As for the breakfast we are so glad we didn’t take the option to go up the road for the full Welsh breakfast. The continental option was fabulous. A great selection and we were amazed that it was only for the two of us. Highly impressive. Can’t wait to return

Lovely quiet setting. At times we thought we were the only people there. Easy walking into the city and good position to walk to coastal path (30min). Everything was clean and looked as if it was almost new. The Ravens room on the second floor was a great size and the calm music on entry set the atmosphere for this great stay. Great continental breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. We would definitely go back and hopefully the sun will shine even longer! Well done and thanks.

Wonderful location and very nice breakfasts. The Court room, I think that was the name of our room, was excellent. It was the upstairs part of the satellite building. Staff was very pleasant. Easy stroll into the "city" and a beautiful walk to the coast.

A beautiful hotel, everything we expected and much more. Luxury fittings in a historic and beautiful building set in a wonderful garden. 5 minutes from the sister hotel which was a great place for dinner. Coming from Australia I was so pleased to find this gem with so little previous knowledge of the area. And reasonably priced for such a great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff as well.
