My wife and I have just returned from a lovely weekend relaxing at this hotel. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel is lovely the staff cannot do enough for you and the food was amazing. The things you do need to be aware of though if you are looking for a spa weekend is don't book last minute...

I booked an overnight stay as a Christmas present for my better half. We arrived early for some spa treatments, we were welcomed by the friendly staff, we were shown around and given locker keys robes slippers etc. We had 2 treatments - a back face and head massage and a foot treatment in a couples room. It was sooo...

We only live 40 mins away and visit the hotel for meals both in the hotel and the tavern, both are very acceptable and welcoming. We also stay at the hotel quite often as it is quite wonderful to have a lake view room and wake to the beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding countryside. On occasion we...

Lake Vyrnwy was my late brother's favourite place for a drive out. Having recently moved to the area I wasted no time visiting the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel to take in the breathtaking views and enjoy the good food. Roaring log fires and a dog friendly area in the brasserie made for a perfect visit. Not to be missed.

We had a premier lake view room with a lovely balcony and was able to check in a good 2 hours early as the room was ready. The view of the lake and tower was just stunning. The room was great with a table and 2 chairs and and a bath big enough for 2! There was a mini fridge...

Whilst the hotel needs attention to décor in a couple of places, it is actually very nice place to visit. A small spa, no swimming pool, with jacuzzi indoors, would benefit from an outdoor Jacuzzi too?! Dinner and breakfast were amazing and the afternoon tea looked very nice. Staff are friendly enough. Our room was a twin room overlooking the...

the reception area was fine, tired looking though. as soon as you leave the reception area the hotel looked tired and needed a renovation. The room that was allocated to us was not worth £170. we didn't bother unpacking, instead we took photos of the room, returned to reception and cancelled our booking. The ceiling was cracked in more than...

Thank you for penning your review. It is disappointing to hear that you felt you weren’t able to stay at the hotel, and I apologise that you were more than unsatisfied with your room. We have a range of different rooms available in the hotel from Garden Views, to smaller Lake Views, and the wonderful Premier Lake Views, of course...

We have stayed here several times before on short breaks but this time felt that some attention to maintenance is required. The room we stayed in (27) was showing signs of age. For example in the bathroom the wallpaper on the ceiling was coming apart at the joins and the grout required some attention. The quality of the toiletries was...

This is not your average branded hotel, it's not for everyone, if you like the friendly welcoming atmosphere of a small rustic hotel, then this hotel has it in spades. We stayed over the Christmas break and enjoyed a relaxing experience, with good food and wine and exception service. The views from the hotel are stunning. Would strongly recommend, although...
