We stayed in our treehouse for two nights and it was truly amazing. Our three and five-year old daughters were so excited about staying up in the treetops and they certainly weren’t disappointed. The weekend more than lived up to all of our expectations.

The whole booking process ran very smoothly, with regular updates and reminders and plenty of information about what we’d need to bring and directions on how to get there. On arrival, we received such a warm welcome; it was lovely. We were given instructions on how to get to our treehouse, plenty more info about our home for the weekend and its surroundings, and reassurance that they were just a phone call away if we needed anything.

There are six treehouses on site but you really wouldn’t know; they are each in their own direction and totally hidden away in the trees. We felt happily secluded, safe and secure. The treehouse itself was an amazing structure. The wooden staircase and rope bridge to access it made for a real adventure for the girls. And they were particularly impressed with the rope swing just below and the ‘lookout’ they could walk up to, just above. Perhaps less so with the Swedish compost toilet, but it certainly added to the whole experience!

Without electricity, the treehouse is a lovely escape. Twinkly lights, tealights and lanterns created a relaxing, peaceful ambience, and the wood fired stove kept us toasty and heated the cute outdoor shower. The treehouse was cosy yet spacious and had everything we needed; a double bed, bunk beds, table and seating area, makeshift outdoor fridge and plenty of kitchen equipment that allowed us to create a delicious pasta meal on the stove and hotdogs for the kids.

There were a few books and games on the shelves as well as leaflets and fantastic hand-drawn maps of local walks and places to go. We followed their ‘Famous Mountain and Sea, Driving Tour’ and had a wonderful day playing on the beach, visiting a waterfall and exploring castle ruins.

We were also touched by a parting gift of a hand-drawn picture of the treehouse. We love it!

The Living Room Treehouse Experience is certainly one we’d recommend and would we’d definitely do again. Thank you!

I am in 2 minds to write this review as I really want to heap praise on our fabulous escape to the treehouse but also want to keep it quiet! I am feeling so chilled out after our visit. If you are used to 5* hotel stays, this may not be for you but it would do everyone some good to escape to the peace & serenity of the treehouse. The outdoor shower was fab, was liberating to strip off outdoors and see the trees all around whilst you wash in the most amazing smelling body wash duly supplied by the management. The compost loo took some getting used to but the actual treehouse more than made up for the dubious weather. So romantic and relaxing. No TV. No internet. Ignore your devices and just submerge in nature. Fantastic for the soul! Thank you Mark & the team for creating a wonderful experience.

I admit we were slightly apprehensive going in winter but we needn't have worried. This was an absolutely amazing experience. It is easy enough to reach but so far removed from daily life. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming. The houses are basic but there is everything one really needs (unless you need WiFi). There is a power socket in the shop in the car park for emergency phone charging. We had to chop our own wood (which made the experience even more fun) but managed to keep the house very warm despite near freezing temperatures outside. There are plenty of candles, running hot water and the loo is perfectly adequate (even if freezing). We all really enjoyed the outdoor shower. We chose to walk to the village for food (about 20 minutes walk or a couple of minutes drive) but it is possible to cook basic food in the house. We did not see many people around (bonus!) but everyone we did speak to was super friendly and helpful. In terms of space, we travelled with two fully grown teens and felt very comfortable. Overall, this was an amazing way to get away from it all. I am not surprised the place is sold out until mid 2024 - I only wish we could rebook sooner. It really feels magical.

You can only reinforce reviews already made and listed.
After a warm welcome and a short woodland stroll you are shown to your elevated home for the next couple of days. As you climb the spiral stair to the outside deck of tree house you are struck by the beauty, privacy and the imagination to create such a destination , they blend into the woods perfectly . The other five tree houses are no where to be seen or near you and just as private , we only saw any other guests at the car park.
The indoor space is cozy but spaceous and welcoming with all you will ever need (although I would suggest you take some camping lights as the bountiful tea lights supplied leave things a little dim if you want to read)
The would burning stove (logs a plenty supplied FOC) warms your cabin perfectly and also heats your water especially important for your outdoor shower below the treehouse .The shower is a treat in itself rustic and different, rewarding you in total privacy out in the open as the hot water cascades on your body with only sheep as voyeurs ,a luxuriously thick and eco shower gel is supplied .
The gas hob enables you to cook a tasty meal with the good quality kitchen equipment supplied.
All you need to do is relax and empty your brain of all stresses and strains this place makes you do this with no conscience . If the weather is good then that is a bonus ,we had a bit of wind and rain however it almost made the expeience more specia,l when the sun did shine the deck was a real pleasure.
The double bed is a very comfortable with a foam mattress allowing you a good nights sleep.
The outdoor eco toilet is what it is but on the deck outside your cabin so no stairs in the night or smells to endure even if you ar.e enjoying your deck.
Travel light(you won’t need much anyway) as you have to get everything up there although there is a pulley haul basket for logs and cases.
Go and enjoy a very special destination if you have managed to trace a negative review ignore it there is always someone that need to be negative all I can say is they must have gone to the wrong place .
The tree houses are booked way ahead so plan early however you can always check daily as we did as cancelations do come up.
Good luck

This place is so wonderful. Our treehouse was built right over the stream so we could hear it burbling in the background. We spent a magical few days here: you are so close to nature and the tree had started to grow back in around the treehouse so it really felt like something that could almost have grown up organically! Of course it hasn't - but the care and attention put into all the details really made it feel like it had. As a big lord of the rings nerd I felt like I was in a hobbit hole in the trees. It was very relaxing, and completely private: we could barely see the other treehouses from ours except as glints of light in the dark. Mark, Julia and John made us feel very welcome and it was fascinating to chat about how the treehouses were built. Will definitely be back!

A totally amazing place and I highly recommend it. The treehouses are so well designed and comfy. The fire does a great job of hearing the treehouse and water. The hot tub is brilliant but you must remember to stir it every 20mins for 3 hours.
We ate in the local pub which was good but you don’t really need to do much else.
Just ensure you wear wellies and waterproof trousers as soon as you get there otherwise you will be muddy before you get into the house

Located in the most stunning of locations our amazing tree house enabled us to unplug from the hyper connectivity of the current World and create some truly wonderful family memories.
The treehouses are nicely equipped and beautifully kitted out.
The wood stove fire heats the treehouse quickly and also gave us the chance to roast marshmallows and cook baked potatoes in the embers.
The insulation keeps the tree house warm all through the night even during the November nights.
An absolute must try is using the outdoor spring fed shower, a very invigorating experience.
We went on a nice walk, maps are provided for a couple of walks in the area, and we were treated to some stunning views along the way.
Yes, this is technically a back to basics holiday, but a luxurious back to basics that reignites family and friend bonds.
Embrace it and enjoy it because this place will take a piece of your heart.

Such an incredible experience. The treehouse is beautifully crafted, with everything you could need. Cosy but so comfortable. The hot tub is a must! It takes some careful planning to get at the right temperature but we’ll worth the wait. Our two boys (2 & 4) loved their time there. The rope swing was great fun! The outside shower was great, the water stayed hot long after the log fire was used. The only thing that was have been useful would have been an indoor broom, just so I could keep it cleaner with my two boys running around. There is a little honesty shop, which was 24/7, meaning we did not have to rush out for anything basic needed. The postcard and drawing we received on checking out was a lovely touch also. I will recommend to other couples and families who would like to try something a little different. Top hosts too who were very welcoming.

Such a special place! Your treehouse is really private and secluded so you feel like you have the whole forest to yourself.
You can pay an extra fee to get a hot tub with your treehouse and as it was a wood fired hot tub we had a lot of fun chopping wood and getting it going.
The hosts were really helpful.
The site has a cute little honesty shop with lots of quality vegan products to buy and homemade jams.

This place is fantastic! We had a wonderful getaway here, the welcome we recieved was so warm and friendly. It was so much fun being here just as a quiet getaway from the world, we hardly left the treehouse at all except to go on some of the local recommended walks which were picturesque.
From all the tips you recieve after booking you are given all the advice on what to bring and what you don't need to concern yourself bringing. The place was very clean and the wood stove made the treehouse very toasty, had to open the door a few times to cool down a bit we got that warm in there.
Genuinely can't recommend this place enough we hope to come back again soon!

No, unfortunately now. We took portable power pack... that we charged in the car on the way. It was kind of good to not have the mains actually.

Hi Katy, great to hear from you. Unfortunately we can't have dogs to stay at the Treehouses, as we are an organic sheep farm. Also dogs tend to find being high up in the trees slight disconcerting! There is a lovely farmhouse kennels just a mile away and I can pass on contact details. Lots more information on our website ... With best wishes from Wales, Mark
