Stopped for a relaxing break away. Room was furnished lovely. The hotel is up to date and stylish. Help yourself breakfast was good. Parking was excellent and hotel right in the middle of the town. Didn't try the restaurant at night so can not comment.

We stayed at this hotel overnight with our dog and were made to feel very welcome. The staff were delightful, the hotel beautifully refurbished and the food was both good and reasonable. I shall be staying there again and highly recommend it.

This is a lovely venue, we meet other volunteers at an annual conference. The function room has an impressive vaulted ceiling with plenty of wood in the architecture and good light. The sanitary facilities are classy and the level of hygiene excellent. The lounge bar offers comfortable leather sofas, roaring open fires and very welcoming staff. The buffet supper provided...

This beautiful hotel has it all! We stayed two nights at The Royal Oak and enjoyed every moment of it. From the uniquely styled, very comfortable, clean, quiet, spacious and elegant bedrooms to the lovely bar and restaurant where the food is to die for! Large range of lavish options on the menu, all meticulously and exquisitely served. Absolutely delicious!...

Really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Oak. Really comfortable rooms, open fires in the bar areas and friendly staff. I will go back. Incredibly well located for train station, Offa's Dyke Way and Powys Castle.

As this is the only hotel in Welshpool, our expectations were not very high. However we had a very warm welcome and were impressed with the (mostly young) staff who were both friendly and helpful. There could not be a better place to spend a wet afternoon than the Royal Oak bar, in front of a log fire. The room...

Evening meal in restaurant was very good and a pleasant drink in the bar beforehand. Breakfast was excellent. Good choices and very well cooked. Would...
