This is a rather shabby establishment. Having said this, the room was reasonably pleasant and well appointed and cheap.Don't expect any sophistication though. I dinned in the barn like restaurant - totally devoid of any charm - and chose from the "something with chips" menu....More
What a dismal, decaying old place this is! Ripped carpets and sagging stairs throughout, Dodgy room door locks and toilet doors that don't close properly. The room stank of bleach. Tiny basic TV in the room and a hot water kettle for making a drink....More
This is a sorry looking place. It's grubby and higgledy piggedly. The upstairs function room is of a better standard. The carvery is pretty grim. I would not stay here. Parking is also quite a problem.

So me and Grandad stayed here for the first game of 6 nations.
Lovely, relaxing hotel with very friendly staff. Little far out but worth the money we paid for the rooms for the weekend.
Would definitely stay here again!
