We booked the Liberty Plains Motor Inn for the AFL Finals, so it was relatively last minute, yet it was still one of the cheapest hotels to stay in Sydney. We booked through Expedia, and while Expedia failed to provide the reservation to the hotel, the staff still honoured the booking and checked us in no questions asked. The room... More

Room was clean and comfortable for one night. Friendly front office staff. This place is an icon of the area, so its been around for a while. OK for a 3 * great location to trains or if attending funeral at Rookwood .

This is a 3-star motel, not too pricey, good for a convenient overnight stay and pretty close to the train station at Lidcombe. It is on a busy road but our unit was quite quiet (even though the proprietor said that Saturday nights could sometimes be noisy). Our upstairs room was small but the double bed was very comfortable. Plenty... More

My husband & I spent the Easter break here, to visit the Royal Easter Show, Sydney. It was the cheapest motel we could find in close proximity to Olympic Park, due to highly inflated accommodation prices at Olympic Park itself. The motel is a 7 minute walk to Lidcombe train station, which is the last stop before Olympic Park station.... More

Room, beds and batroom looked new and clean. But the room smelled cigratte, A/c remote did not work. Complimentary Tea coffee was useful as we had to leave early hours. Also to mention, the bathroom exhaust window was clear and was not comfortable with it at all. In the end it was a cheap motel and for the price we... More

Motel room was very clean. Tho The reception staff was rude, impatient with no personality. A smile wouldn't of shattered his face I'm sure. If you are not paying with the credit card you booked with be prepared for a negative attitude. Would not stay here again just for the fact of the depressed man behind the counter

This is like a country hotel transplanted into Sydney. Located at Lidcombe, it is close to Olympic Stadium by the nearby train. It isn't anything 'flash', but the check in was fine. The room was basic but clean with all the amenities you want. There is plenty of (free) parking onsite. It is about a 10 minute walk to the... More

Wanted to book for 5 people and they offered us the use of a 3 bedroom house. It isn't advertised on any accommodation site and for good reason. The house smells, hasn't had any repairs since the early 80's (red carpet, swollen chipboard in all cupboards, dirty walls, windows, kettle etc). We had to ask for towels, soap etc as... More

No smoke alarms, power point hanging from wall. Dodgy everything very unclean . I swapped 2 motel rooms for a house up the back and they shouldn't even be hiring it out. Unsafe and would not meet requirements at all. Offered a 25% refund that's it. Not good enough and way overpriced for what it is.

Positives - close to Olympic Park as Lidcombe Railway Station is one stop from Olympic Park Railway Station, they had a two night vacancy for us on the NRL grand final weekend. We were offered the 3 bedroom house (3 double/queen beds and 4 single beds), $375 per night. The beds where clean and comfy. The whole house was air-conditioned.... More
