We hired the Historic Courthouse for a weekend. The building is a historic, an old courthouse, which is just amazing (old, yet completely comfortable). There are a variety of dining areas, indoor in the formal dining, a casual dining areas (which I believe is the old exercise yard of the jail), and 2 covered outdoor tables. We love entertaining, so it... More

This is the second time our group of friends have stayed at the Courthouse, St Albans. It is a beautiful drive through the countryside to get there and the lunch at the Settlers Pub is also great, especially on a sunny day. The accomodation is divided between the Courthouse and a separate house just up the driveway. The Courthouse is... More

I have always loved St Albans with its special sense of history, amazing old pub and timeless beauty, the Courthouse Homestead B&B is a real gem tucked away on the hillside. We escaped from Sydney for a couple of nights with our two children - seeking quiet and a bit of nature, and it met all my expectations and more.... More

This weekend we spent at Courthouse Homestead B&B, with the entire Family, That was 9 Adults in the lovely old piece history. The old Courthouse was built in 1890, great sandstone building up on the hill over looking the quaint little village of St Albans. We had a terrific time, doing some bush-walking, sitting around the old log fire, walked... More

The courthouse is a brilliant little slice of our convict history. My partner and I were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves the night we stayed. Ken the host is lovely, and provides you all the ingredients needed to make breakfast, as well as a supply of wine for purchase. The décor is a little dated, but... More

We stayed in the Homestead for 1 night and we loved it. The rooms with electric blankets are good and the Settlers Inn Pub is only a short walk. Ken's hospitality makes staying at the homestead/courthouse even better. We had a very nice breakfast with a beautiful view at the valley from the veranda. Absolutely recommend staying here for a... We booked late for the St Albans Folk Concert in April 2016 but unfortunately could only get one nights accommodation at the Courthouse due to a cancellation. Ken drove my husband around to other places in the district the next day that he thought might be able to put us up for the duration of the Concert. We would definitely... More

We were part of the foursome described in the previous review. Paul could not have worded better the kind treatment and gracious hosting we received from Ken. The night we spent at the Homestead was one of the most memorable and relaxing ones of the entire trip JR

Four of us stayed in the Homestead for a night. We were traveling by motorbike and arrived late in the day. Ken had thoughtfully bought food for us to prepare knowing that the pub was closed for dinner. We had the whole Homestead to ourselves and had a great time. Ken then showed up in the morning and cooked up... More

I stayed in the "Homestead" building, part of the same operation for "The Courthouse". The double room with ensuit was immaculate. The bed well sprung and the location whisper quiet. So I was grateful for a rare solid nights sleep. Shower pressure good. Towels supplied. Ken, the owner/host, was great to chat with and was entirely welcoming and helpful in... More
