Double Bay
Located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Double Bay is a one of the city's most beautiful harbour neighbourhoods. Designer boutiques provide a decadent shopping experience and dress some of the most beautiful people in Sydney. Sit down at one of the open air cafes for a latte or a meal and enjoy the people-watching. Double Bay was once an exclusive enclave for an older, elite population, but new restaurants, late night bars, hotels and cafés are attracting a younger, vibrant mix, making Double Bay the place to be on the harbour.

Impersonal, over priced, musty rooms ... so many more hotel options at a similar price available in Sydney. On the plus side, well located for a walk to local shops, restaurants and ferry. Would I stay again? Probably not. Can do better.

Dear FortyPlusFemale, Thank-you very much for leaving your feedback, it is much appreciated. I do apologise that we did not exceed your expectations during your visit. I have passed your comments onto our Management Team to investigate. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future to show you that we pride ourselves on five star service and this was not our normal offering. Warm Regards, Guest Relations Team

I stayed here on the eve of my Weddings s well as my Wedding night, and it was just lovely. The rooms are fairly simple, but the bathrooms are extraordinary. And the lobby area is just superb, with beautiful hints of gold. It's not exactly close to the city itself, but Double

Stayed for 2 nights over boxing day, perfect weather, small but great pool area and divine cocktails, great place to lounge around and great shopping and cafes nearby better than staying in the city for a more relaxed feel and walking distance to Red Leaf Pool . Comfy and big

The hotel is in need of a repaint. The rooms were comfortable though. When we visited the Club for high tea the service was appalling. It was extremely slow, they didn’t clear the used plates away at all and to make matters worse there was a bird flying around inside. Can think

Dear rebeccarK4833CV, Thank-you for taking the time to give your feedback. I am disappointed to read that you found the hotel in need of a repaint and the service was not our usual five star experience. I will most definitely be passing you comments onto our Food and Beverage Manager to investigate. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel in your next visit to Sydney. Warm Regards, Guest Relations Team

We used to come for breakfast quite often 3-4 years ago, so we thought we should revisit. Sadly it's gone down down hill, from an extensive loose leaf tea menu to now with the basics. The food quality had also dropped no more Yalla yogurts in the fridge, Mac Donald's hash browns

The weather in Sydney is around 30 degrees right now, and higher as we have been going through a heat wave this summer. This is an outdoor pool, unlikely anyone would want it heated in summer! Unlikely anyone in Sydney would bother to swim in winter!

Hi Mauricio, I too am gluten free and they were able to cater advise which meals would be suitable for both in room dining and at the club for breakfast. Enjoy. Cheers, Rose

Hi, I had stayed in both properties last time I was in Sydney in May 2017 for 5 days. 1) If this is your first time in Sydney and you are there for less than 3 days, then you should stay at the CBD area. 2) If you are in Sydney for more than 3 days, you should spend the first 3 days at the CBD property and the rest at the Double Bay property. The latter being only 4.5 km from CBD, it's a short drive with Uber outside rush hours. If you like walking, Double Bay is good for long walks to Rose Bay, Vaucluse Bay, and Bondi Beach.

The Club room was a fab size with seating area in different room. Staff were amazing. I personally would stay in the city for New Years Eve....we have stayed at both the Four Seasons and the Park Hyatt over NYE and both were fab. Its definitely worth paying a bit extra to save the hassle going in and out of the city. There is a ferry to the city but i would check how often that would run on NYE if at all. We don't normally move from the City but chose Double Bay this year just for a change...As much as the hotel was fantastic there isn't much to do in the area and we find the City a lot more convenient for travelling around.
