very enjoyable week end in one of the farm Cottages. Walks were great with magnificent views and a lot of wildlife. Will be back in winter and enjoy the fire place and cosy living room. Bed was very comfortable.

We had a great night's sleep in the beautifully appointed rooms with a view to the mountain and stocked with everything one could possibly need. The swimming pool was a welcome surprise after a long hot journey. We were less than overwhelmed by the dinner in the very

Overall a very good experience. Girlfriend and I stayed for two nights. Rooms in the garden room were a bit average and there needs to be lift here. Dining experiences were very good and the produce/food was beautiful. Sensational wine list! Well worth the journey for the

Fantastic. Don't think twice about booking a weekend here. The food, wine, atmosphere, staff, surrounding environment and the local town and driving are all superb. Well worth the drive. We'll definitely heading back to Dunkeld for another weekend.

We also visited this ‘windy night’ when there was a power outage. Let’s be clear - power was out all over the region due to a bushfire, we feel unfair to make out that the hotel was only place effected. We were escorted to the other restaurant they have( which had a gas kitchen so could still cook food which couldn’t be done in the fine restaurant - was explained) it looked like all guests were transferred there and offered a decent meal complimentary - were you?yes it is a more casual affair, which was fine considering the circumstances. We were also offered a free return visit to the Wickens restaurant as compensation, which we took up and had a fabulous time. So yes, as other responders have said, we were offered an apology and compensation for something that was out of their control - seemed professional to us. Are you sure your dining companion hasn’t returned on the free visit without you! Haha

As per Jennifer's answer I also can't remember cost but unlike Jennifer I didn't think the whole experience was that special.

Dining at the RMH in Dunkeld has been a goal for many people for such a long time because of the first class rep their chef enjoyed. However, I believe that particular chef may have moved on? Once you have booked accommodation and arrived in the town - there are really no other dining choices so they have a captive market. I sent the Manager an email a day or two after our stay to voice our disappointment but have received no response. The accommodation was great, food and service very poor to say the least. Never again.
