I had always wanted to stay at the Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld and to have dinner and breakfast in the main Dining Room. We enjoyed the overall experience and took a tour of the organic garden prior to departing (which I would recommend). We stayed in a room near the main road and over looking the swimming pool. We did...

Web site says foxtel, but none provided, no ice in fridge, fridge door doesnt close properly so the drinks are not cold, food to bar comes from outside kitchen thru posse of smokers before it gets to you, same room to noisy to have a conversation, needs sound deadening. Takes about three minutes for hot water to start flowing in...

Tucked near the foot of the Grampian mountains in Victoria, The Royal Mail hotel offers an excellent opportunity for a little weekend indulgence. The accommodation is satisfactory, with comfortable, spacious rooms (although the heating is rather hard to control). Above all, it's the restaurant that represents the main attraction. The degustation menu (choice of 5 or 8 courses, plus little...

The RMH had been recommended by several Australian friends and did not disappoint. The dining experience has been separately reviewed. The hotel comprises lots of individual adjoining bungalow style rooms, all well appointed and spacious. Our room (14) looked directly across the creek towards Mount Sturgeon. Spectacular vista. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The wifi connection...

Absolutely worth the trip !! Superb food and wine and impeccable service. Nothing too trivial or difficult. We had the 5-course degustation - with the incredible 'added extras' and the amazing matched wines, it was more than enough - divine ! Stay overnight if you can justify it - breakfast is beautiful and the kitchen tour is well worth it....

We were so looking forward to our stay at the Royal Mail. The highlight was to be dinner which had been booked well in advance directly with the reception staff. We arrived in the dining room at 8.15pm to discover that the a la carte menu was not available. The only choice was the tasting menu which we elected to...

Dear Sammy , Thank you for your feedback. I would like to note that I personally spoke with you prior to your departure from the Royal Mail and as you mentioned, I committed to following up once I had spoken to all team members to gain some clarity about your experience which is very much at odds with that of...

Much has been written about this wonderful hotel in the Grampians in Victoria. I don't want to repeat what others have said. The only disappointment we had for the whole weekend was that our room did not have a full mountain view which is what we expected when we booked. The hotel should tell guests when booking that some rooms...

Had an amazing degustation here with matched wines for lunch. The food was thoughtful and tasty, service was impeccable and matched wines perfect with the sommelier chatting seamlessly with us. Had a tour of the wine cellar which was amazing. Stayed in the accomodation which was wonderful with an amazing breakfast back in the restaurant the next day. I would...
