Detailed Reviews
This is an older style alpine lodge. You're welcomed by a roaring fire as you enter. The entire lodge is cozy, warm and very comfortable. The rooms are big enough with lots of storage. The ski and drying rooms are huge, and your gear is guaranteed to be dry the next morning.
It is conveniently located near shuttle stop 2, which is a very short walk up from the lodge. Then you can ski down to Hayley's. The village return trail will take you right back to the front door.
But of course, the most amazing thing about the lodge is the people. Claire and Al have been managing and providing consistently 5-star quality food for 15 years. Not much beats coming home after a day on the slopes, a hot shower, and rocking up to a 3 course dinner with good conversations. The children are also well looked after with their favorite foods at an earlier sitting, then going upstairs to the games and TV rooms. It's no surprise the guests are often returning families. Otherwise there's always Mojo, the friendly and extremely well behaved lodge dog!

I couldn’t recommend Ripparoo Lodge enough. My friends and I managed to get up just before the lockdown was announced and it was an obvious choice we had to stay. With the staff knowing our daily schedule of boarding then hitting the sauna, they started having it turned on when we would arrive back to the lodge. So thoughtful! Over the 8 nights we ended up staying, there was breakfast made every morning, afternoon tea and a 3 course meal for dinner (which never failed to please the taste buds). The staff were always super helpful and kind it just made the stay even better. Ripparoo Lodge was definitely a favourite of mine and I cannot wait to get back there. For anyone tossing up between here and another place I would definitely recommend here, its an experience you won’t be able to get anywhere else!!

Our first time at Ripparoo and it wont be the last. The facilities were great and our room was clean and warm. Claire, Al and the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfasts, afternoon tea and the delicious 5 star 3 course dinners, relaxing by the fire and mingling with the other guests. Would recommend Ripparoo to anyone and will definitely be back.

Food is always excellent and we’ve met some fabulous people over our stays. Rooms are small but cosy and there’s usually a nice little bathroom package waiting with shampoo, conditioner etc. We have been coming for years and will continue to go back

Space is indeed at a premium in some rooms - queen and king beds weren't on the horizon when Ripparoo was built ;) Thank you for leaving us a review.

We had a wonderful stay at Ripparoo. The staff were exceptional and the food was delicious. Our girls loved the games room, TV room and the ability to play with other kids in the afternoons after we got back from skiing. And as adults we loved the two dinner seatings - 6pm for the kids then 7pm for the adults (three courses every night!) - so we got some uninterrupted adult conversation with a nice glass of wine.
Would thoroughly recommend. Great location too - nice and central.

Another fabulous stay at Ripparoo ski lodge. Claire and Al are wonderful hosts and Al's food is second to none. Every night bar Friday, Al and the kitchen team serve up delicious three course dinners and vegetarians and pescatarians are very well catered for to the same high standard. Kids have early dinner. Breakfast is early but good to fuel up for a day on the slopes or just a relaxing day in. Falls creek has plenty of options. The lodge is warm, cosy and clean complete with a central log fire and has traditional, friendly ski lodge vibes. We stayed in a refurbished room with a comfy king bed, modern linen and lovely new bathroom. Ask for the king room if you can, well worth the small extra amount. Thanks Claire, Al, Emily and the team.

Our family room with ensuite was a great size, it easily fit 2 adults 2 teenagers and our stuff and had a fantastic view. We loved the traditional private lodge so we could relax in the lounge. Great to be BYO and have a fridge to bring stuff to make your own toasties for lunch, we could board to the door then down to the lift so lunch was a great break. Dinner was delicious and service was great for both adults & kids. Pool table is a bonus.

+1
The Highlight at Ripparoo is the Amazing Food!
Cooked breakfast and a Gourmet 3-Course Dinner every Day/Night.
That said, the whole experience is very friendly, and sophisticated.
But also Family/Kid Friendly.
Recently fully Refurbished, and very Well Maintained since.
Good facilities including Fast WiFi, two TVs, Pool Table, Sauna.
We had two separate rooms for us and the kids. Both had En Suites.
Nice Views from our Rooms.
Great Location within the Village - Only about 50m walk to a point where you can then ski straight to the first Chair lift (Halley’s Comet).

Ripparoo is the quintessential ski lodge in terms of true alpine hospitality. We love the old mothership Ripparoo A Frame - looking after families, singles and couples for almost 70 years. Thank you for making the time to review :)

We love this lodge for it's great location, excellent food and ongoing high service standards.
Al and Claire are the perfect hosts who cater to every need even under difficult circumstances such as staff shortages experienced this year.
The lodge has all the amenities you need inside, is ski-in, ski-out and easy to get to from the arrival point on the mountain.
We always have a wonderful time meeting new friends and old friends and wouldn't ever think to stay anywhere else at Falls Creek.
