A totally relaxing weekend spent here. An open fire and lovely views. Very tranquil with wildlife abounding. A very rustic but comfortable house. Only slight down side is uncomfortable lounge. All amenities good.

These cottages in the Grampians are amazing. Kangaroos grazing in front of the door, chicken come curious to visit, very nice hosts, a fantastic national park around ... Here I could have stayed also 2 weeks. In contrast to previous reviews my bed (redgum log) was wonderful.

We stayed in the Mudbrick Cottage for 2 days for my boyfriends 30th. We are frequent visitors to Halls Gap but usually camp so were looking forward to enjoying the accommodation. Pioneer Cottages is located closer to Pomonal than Halls Gap on a 60 acre property which backs onto the zoo. The decor of the cottage is dated but what...

Thank you for your review, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the views. We are currently replacing all mattresses in the cottages, a process which should be complete within the next month. It is virtually impossible to find a mattress that will please everyone however, as different people prefer different styles. We have tried to go with a happy medium,...

We had our wedding at Grampians pioneer cottages and booked out the whole venue. Corrine and Adrian were extremely helpful right throughout the planning process until departure. Fantastic venue for events or a quiet getaway. Beautiful scenery, with wildlife right at our doorstep. Cabins had everything we needed and were comfy for our families, which included toddlers, babies, teenager and...

Friendly owners. Very peaceful property and nice walks around not far from the cabin. Excellent views of the Grampians. Tried to spot the Giraffes as suggested by the owners, as the zoo is super close, but couldn't see them a to be honest seeing a Giraffe in the Grampians would be out of place.. lots of kangaroos feeding very close...

Thank you for your lovely review. We are so lucky to have such an abundance of wildlife on our doorstep, we still get a kick out of watching the antics of our roaming neighbours. And the view from the office is one I treasure also, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks again, hope to see you again soon! Best wishes from...

Kind of in the middle of nowhere and perfect for a couple of days to relax. It has wild kangaroos all over the place and it's so much fun having breakfast for yourself inside, looking out of the window seeing those kangaroos having theirs outside. The hosts are very friendly, give you load of information (best hiking spots and times,...

Stunning, wild and the most relaxing place to escape with scenery to take your breath away and kangaroos that call this place home. Corrine and Aidan go beyond to make sure you have a trip to remember.

I stayed with another friends family in the red brick cottage in late December 2016 and everyone loved this place. The interior was as neat as hotels but very spacious for two families to share. We have 4 adults and 4 kids and we did not feel crowded at all. Everyone loved the evening walks in the surrounding land where...

Thank you for your lovely review. The east facing cottages really are the best for sunrises, I'm glad you caught a good one! The chickens have a cult following these days, for both their eggs and their characters, they provide many entertaining moments! Thanks again, we love hearing our guests have enjoyed their stay, and hopefully we will see you...
