I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my self contained accommodation at the Silver Bream. It looks quite old on the outside but has been nicely refurbished on the inside. The place was spotless! There was everything you could possibly want - full fridge, oven, stove and lots of kitchenware. It was warm, comfortable and quiet.

This small Motel is located close and an easy walk to the town shopping strip. Although an older style concrete block build, the place is spotless and freshly painted. The rooms facing west are a little dark due to the large carports, so lights are needed even during the day. Comfortable Queen sized bed. Nicely manicured gardens with a BBQ...

What an outstanding little motel. Greeted with a smile, had a run down on what's what's around the town. Very clear large room and free wifi which was a must as I had work to send back to the UK. The owner tipped us off as to where to eat and even arranged for a pick up and drop off....

We stayed in Mallacoota as a mid-point between Melbourne and Canberra (around the coast). It's a lovely place, off the highway, with beautiful estuary views and handsome if huge pelicans. Also just enough food options to get you through a short or longer stay. The Silver Bream is within walking distance of shore and shops, offering well sized rooms and...

Stayed here for two nights recently while roadtripping. We hadn't booked so we were lucky to secure accommodation. Mallacoota is a small town and the Silver Bream is located on the main road, however being a small town there isn't really anything in the way of road noise. Not sure why Tripadvisor says the motel is 1km from the city...

Shame that our experience staying here for one night was ruined by the landlady's rudeness, making us feeling very unwelcome. We are aware that we arrived 'late', 9pm, however since we were paying customers with no special needs, she made me feel like I was some scum (perhaps my non Anglo name deserved this?!)

Admittedly, it is with deep regret that I feel that I have an obligation to reply to your Post, because I believe your comments are extremely unfair and unjust for the following reasons: 1. Your insinuation that for some reason that I was in your words “rude, and treated you like scum had some bearing on the fact that your...

We were after a one night stay. No booking we just dropped in about 3pm. Lovely lady nothing too much trouble. Room good, garden and BBQ area relaxing spot to sit. Walk to the shops. Much better than the rooms at the Mallacoota hotel we looked at - they smelt bad.

Our stay in Mallacoota was our first & just for one night, but our choice of this motel was just what we needed. It is located very close to the shops & only a short drive to see 'the sights'. On arrival, we received a very friendly greeting & were supplied with a local map. Our mid-week choices for eating...
