Excellent staff, busy dining room, outside courtyard for meals but a cold evening so only smokers were braving the breeze. Good selection on the menu, rapid delivery of food but limited gluten free options. Did not stay for dessert or coffee.

Monopoly at its worst - We arrived in a large group and were then treated to poor service as we had inconvenienced the staff in that they were actually busy. Food lower end pub fare and be prepared to wait 50minutes.

My husband and I have had the most delicious meal. The mussel linguine was to die for and the bear battered flake sweet and fresh! Staff were refreshingly well mannered and accommodating 4.5/5. In all a delightful evening!

Spent a few days there (Portarlington) last year. The area as the reputation as having some of the best mussels in the land. Checked out a couple of wineries including lunch looking for mussel dishes. Were OK but not what we were looking for really. It wasn't until we were talking to the Manager of the Motel that we were...

Stayed here for 2 nights. We were in a front room so was very noisy. The room was clean and the shared toilets/showers were clean enough but the shared kitchen and tv room were terrible and were not cleaned at all with the bins overflowing! The bistro was fine with nice food. No breakfast available. Was okay for the price.

Its cheap, its quaint, its old, its a place to sleep. Its really backpacker accom. All rooms are on the 3rd level, up the old grand staircase. Location is great for cafe, beach, food and market. Drunks in the bar not so great.

Grand hotel was an interesting place to stay. Rooms basic, bed comfy shared bathroom facilities but priced accordingly. Location fantastic with the beach a short stroll away. Very relaxed atmosphere. Lodgings on top floor with shared lounge and pool room. Great atmosphere.

Went with 4 friends after one of the couples had stayed a few times before. This place is old and really traditional old hotel style with shared bathrooms on each floor. We had the front three rooms overlooking the water, basic yes but good beds and quite nicely decorated. Heaters in the rooms and extra blankets. There is great guest...
