We're travelling to Melbourne from Scotland in December/January and booked two nights for 4 people at the Hummingbird for just after Christmas. We booked in August and full payment was taken by Hummingbird. However they then cancelled our booking at the end of October, which left us hard pressed to find an alternative, and out of pocket. It took Hummingbird...

With limited accommodation available and a wedding to go to we settled on Hummingbird Eco Retreat. Firstly parking here is at a premium so be aware that you might like I did come out in the morning to find your car blocked in. The bus picking up wedding guests did not want to come down the drive way due to...

When we approached this centre down a dirt road off the main road we thought "Wow". The centre was sprawled out across a field with bushland to the back and large vegetable garden with ducks and chooks opposite the accommodation area. This is not your average style of motel accommodation. The room was formally a stable and you could feel...

We stayed for 2 nights recently as part of a long weekend. The retreat is set well down from the road so you don't hear the traffic at all. Friendly welcome from the lady at reception, very helpful with a run-through of the amenities. We had one of the few king-size rooms and it was lovely and cozy, away from...

My wife and I, along with another couple spent 2 nights here in early October. The accommodation and restaurant are situated in tranquil surroundings down a track off the main road. We were able to find parking near to our accommodation, but be aware that it is limited, so you may need to park a bit further away. We were...

I felt warmly welcomed from the time I drove onto the property. The people were very friendly and service was exceptional with nothing too much trouble. The room is rustic, facilities good and clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable. The gardens are beautiful with inviting seating everywhere. Location was fabulous for all Red Hill and Mornington Peninsula attractions with around 4...

I would advise strongly not to visit this place. A women named Jane was nothing short of rude and obnoxious and the vibe of the place was not great. Having visited many other health retreats this was not what was expected and there are many better options on the Mornington Peninsula. The rooms were also not up to standard. Please...

We had planned to have lunch elsewhere but were turned away, driving past hummingbird we decided to try it. It's a lovely rustic farm with a long driveway to the restaurant. In summer it would be beautiful lunching in the garden. Lunch was nice, veg grown in their garden were used. I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection...

Visited Hummingbird for a short weekend trip to relax and somewhat disconnect from the daily rut and that is exactly what the place is meant for. Although it was wet and cold , being close to nature whether it by sipping hot chocolate by the window , touring the harvest garden or enjoying log fire and delicious meal prepared with...

Totally taken back by this place. Some of the staff were exceptionally nice and professional such as Kristy but the manager/owner seemed like a real piece of work. I think his name was Skip? Some of the facilities were not up to standard but others were quite good such as the masseuse. What really ticked us off was that the...

At the Hummingbird one of our values is connection. This can be connection to yourself your partner or environment. Our menu is designed to share with tastings plates. I don't think I have been into a restaurant that you cant share your food. It especially doesnt happen at Hummingbird, we encourage sharing its part of connection. Most couples always share...
