New Market is a very small town that is less than half- hour from the Smokey Mountains or Knoxville, The owners are very nice folks that go out of their way to help you with anything you might need: restaurants, roads, colleges (Carson-NewmanUniversity and University of Tennessee), etc.

We were upgraded to the Secret Garden Cottage and loved it. We were only able to stay one night but would have enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful cottage for several days. It was very nicely decorated and had everything you would need if you were staying for several days. Kim & David were very friendly and helpful with directions, etc.... More

Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Everything worked. The owners were gracious and generally wonderful. Can't think of anything negative to say, but here are two bits you should be aware of: They don't have breakfast as such, but they do have snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate kit available 24 hours; and there are trains that go by at the usual... The Minnis House is a beautiful home kept in immaculate condition. The owners, David and Kim were warm and inviting and made us feel right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house has old world charm with hardwood floors, tiffany style lighting and beautiful antiques but has all the updates you would want, ie. updated bathrooms, wifi, flat... More

This quaint B&B was recommended to us by a family member and we want to spread the news about this little gem. The owners were extremely welcoming and the rooms were gorgeous and had everything we needed. The owners' large collection of charming antiques really does justice to the historical building. If you happen to be very sensitive to noise... More

A lovely, and charming B&B! Friendly service, very hospitable owners, and the rooms are not only beautiful, but clean. I had a wonderful stay! Incredibly peaceful and close to Gatlinburg without all the touristy things. I cannot wait to come back!

I have two kids at Carson-Newman, and I make trips several times a year. I typically stay in a hotel, but those are out on the interstate. This trip I decided to look around and found the Minnis House. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! beds and pillows are more comfy than the Fairfield Inn, bathroom is better appointed and supplied,... Out of state family coming to visit and no room at my own home. Ms. Kim at The Minnis House came to the rescue. Family stayed at their new cottage, which was both comfortable and delightful. This is my fifth or sixth stay at the Minnis House, and I'm already booked for the future. The owners are delightful. As an early riser, I love the ability to go downstairs and enjoy a book and coffee while others continue to sleep. Convenient to CNU, Sevierville, and Knoxville, the Minnis House is an easy choice!
