I think that if we would have had a cabin or RV i probably would have been able to rate this as a "very good" but tent camping here is a bit confusing and strange. There are only 4 or 5 tent sites??(that we saw) and 3 of them are up on these mini cliff like hills. Setting up the...

Do not come here if you are tent camping. The 4 sites that they have are very small and covered with rocks and gravel, making it impossible to put in stakes to anchor a TENT. Each site is on a little CLIFF, so one wrong move and you fall off. Also, if you don't have 4 wheel drive, you probably...

We called ahead and booked a site for Aug 4 2016 and was told it was $19.90 per night. Told them we had 6 people and they said it didn't matter same price. We paid with credit card $135.00 and when we got there it was late in the evening before 5 pm and a new camp worker was there,...

Alpine Hideaway is just off The Parkway near traffic light 10 but you would never know it. It is hidden up a hill and between to small mountains. It is probably the quietest campground in Pigeon Forge. You are close to everything yet you feel like you are out in the woods camping. April and Steve are very friendly and...

Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and right in between 2 mountains. We came in late and it's the only campground that still allowed us a place to stay. If we're ever in the area again we would stay here! Recommended!

We booked an impromptu weekend in Pigeon Forge for July 30- August 1st. Couldn't find a room, so we went with a cabin with a bathroom at the Alpine Hideaway campground. Our mindeset for this adventure was "this is camping without a tent". The cabin was advertised as a queen bed with two bunk beds, a full bathroom, fridge, TV,...

We stayed several weeks and found this campground to be a quiet area away from the other campgrounds that fronted on the main road through Pigeon Forge. Sites are close as common in this area. Bathrooms are clean but in need of renovation. Laundry is basically a closet with 3 washers, 3 dryers. Campground advertises Wi-fi but it is hit...

My wife and I spent a weekend here in one of their cabins. We wanted to try something different. It was clean and cool despite the heat. Bathrooms were clean but getting a little dated. Staff is friendly. You do need to bring your own linens . Since we did not have sheets to fit either the full bed or...

Very nice & cozy campground with cabins. We rented a camping cabin & loved it. It's all you need if you plan on spending most of your time at Dollywood/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. It has AC/heat/fridge/microwave/cable tv and beds. Very affordable! Has a nice pool and awesome sized kids playground. Very family friendly campground and the people that run it do very...

If you prefer campgrounds where you feel like a sardine or the ones that have loud and obnoxious neighbors then go somewhere else, because you won't find that here. Alpine Hideaway is very peaceful, private, quiet and clean. The lady who runs the office is very sweet. The gentleman that handles all maintenance items is extremely helpful. He even helped...
