We stayed at this lovely house on our way to Edinburgh and it will always be our half way stop to Scotland in future. Harriet bought Ellerbeck House a few years ago when I understand the house needed a lot of renovation and this has been done beautifully. Lots of interesting nooks and crannies. We stayed in the bedroom at...

The highest standards are easier to experience than to describe. This small, but perfect, B&B has only 2 rooms, a delightful, artistic ambience and a very thoughtful and helpful hostess. One night was not enough!

We have now visited Ellerbeck House on several occasions. Harriet looks after her guests so well. Nothing is too much trouble. Her home is beautifully decorated throughout and she delivers the best Cumbrian breakfast. Its location in the picturesque Lune valley is an ideal spot to explore all the surrounding attractions. Ellerbeck is such a special place and can't be...

on our way back from Scotland we were looking for a nice B&B, and we got far more then expected: Ellerbeck House is a magnificent restored old house, located in the nice region of the Yorkshire Dales. We got a warm and very friendly welcome from Harriet. The house can without any doubt be put in any home and interior...

Fantastic hospitality in a beautifully restored house. Tea on arrival, lots of help in finding somewhere for an evening meal, a very comfortable nights sleep and a first class breakfast the next morning. You really could not want any more from a B&B. Thanks Harriet - you're setting the benchmark for what a B&B should be!

Ellerbeck House has everything you could possibly need from a B&B. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are incredibly comfortable. We stayed in bedroom two, which has a wonderful view and very comfortable bed, with a lovely bathroom across the landing. Breakfast was delicious and Harriet is an incredibly kind and generous host. We could have stayed here...

I stayed at Ellerbeck two years ago, and gave it a rave review. I'm delighted to say that nothing had changed on the return visit. We went with two friends, so we had booked all three rooms, and the stay was as wonderful as our first. Harriet's company is a delight, and her house is lush. I wish I had...

Harriet makes you feel so welcome in her beautifully restored home that we relaxed from the moment we entered the front door. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like family friends rather than paying guests. Our room was a delight and throughout the house everything is with great taste. This is a faultless place to stay. We can...
