We made a last minute decision to go to Galveston on a Tuesday and found the Sandpiper RV Park on Stewart Beqch. We were very lucky to get a space from Tues through Thurs. it is usually fully booked on the weekends. My advice is to call and ask for Al or Larry.... They were great and accommodating. The park... This was the first time we stayed at this RV resort. We really liked it. The resort has concrete leveled spots. The beach is just a 1 minute walk away. If you don't want to swim in the Galveston water, they have an infinity pool which seemed very clean. Overall, I would say it was a pleasant RV park and... More

We had 3 RVs with a perfect location in the park. The park was clean and the staff were nice. The pool, showers and bathrooms were clean as well as the grounds. Unfortunately it rained every day and Stewart Beach entrance flooded which has nothing to do with the park. Great place to park as it was close to everything--... More

If you want to be near the goings-on near the happening part of town, this is the place. We found the pool very nice, but like other reviews, rules were not enforced. We were outside the main area, on the road. This meant our kids couldn't be outside without us. We experienced some issues when checking in, which led to... More

We have stayed at Sandpiper for five years in a roll and have always loved it. Clean, most generally quiet, very nice facilities. This past year there were a few aggravations but it was due to other campers and not the resort itself. The resort has some great rules in place but unfortunately not everyone follows the rules. We were... More

This RV park was super convenient for beach goers. It is right next to Stewart Beach and helicopter rides. There is a pool, 3 showers per restroom, 2 washers, dryers, and a dining facility where you can watch television, cook, eat, and play board games if desired. Bring plenty of protection against mosquitos and sun.

I have been coming to Galveston Island since I was a child, so over 60 years, and even lived here for 7 years while in school and training. Now that we have an RV we have been here a couple of times and stayed a other RV parks but decided to try Sandpiper RV Resort this time since my meetings... More

Very small park that is close to the beach and walking distance to many attractions on the seawall. The sites were level and the pedestal and dump were conveniently located. The pool and hot tub was very nice and the staff was friendly and accommodating while we were there. They did have Wi-Fi but it was not reliable at all.... More

Stayed 4/3 through 4/7 - had a great time. Location was exactly what we wanted - close to the beach and town but still separated and generally quiet (try to avoid the first row as you can hear traffic). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Not a lot on property, but a nice pool with a small view of the... More

Level sites, but small and packed in. We are used to larger sites with a little more wiggle room between other RVers. It is close to a main road...and a public beach entrance, so there is quite a bit of traffic noise and on roads around the park. Neighbors were nice, most of them respectful of families being around and... More
