We stayed at the Gaylord during the weekend of the 2017 bowl game between Wisconsin and Western Michigan universities. We purchased a package through a tour group and traveled with a Western Michigan fan group from grand Rapids, Michigan. PROS:: The enormous property (very Las Vegas-like) is amazing and no detail has been spared in sprucing up the surroundings. Holiday...

Here for a big convention. Lots of streams and plantings under the giant domed atrium, with plenty of niches to get emails, etc. Long walk from Hotel rooms to meeting rooms (though AOK to work off the extra chow lol). Room was very nice and well appointed for business, with a balcony that overlooked atrium. Many gift shops and restaurants...

Went to the Glass Cactus with some friends last Saturday, (The nightclub/bar owned by the Gaylord Texan Resort). We had a great time. The place is definitely an upscale bar/club...a lot nicer than your typical club. There is a small cover charge to get in. They serve a small menu of bar food..which was delicious! The drinks were good (not...

I would recommend a stay at the Gaylord Texan during there holiday event for anyone looking to add to their Christmas experience. I took my three grand daughters ranging in age from 2-16. There was something for everyone. We all agreed that this is something we would like to do again. I would add an extra day to spend in...

We stayed at the Grapevine Gaylord for 5 days at the end of April. The weather was gorgeous out so the 1 outdoor pool was open (very clean and perfect temp!) The water park was closed until may as it is seasonal. Check in was a bit of a process only because we were there for a convention. We faced...

I attended a multi-day conference at the site, which is massive in size and scope. The central courtyard with its variety of fountains, waterways, bridges, and entertainment areas is impressive. I received an upgrade to a larger king room, which was fairly standard as far as amenities and comfort. It's a bit irritating that parking is so far away from...

We stayed here while attending a playoff game. They provided us with a $45 per person round trip ride to the stadium, but unfortunately the hotel was unable to accommodate its guest with room service once they returned from the game. The sports bar wasn’t taking to-go orders, so there wasn’t really a way to eat at this “resort” after...

I went here for a day trip one Christmas and realized it required a night's stay to really get the experience and enjoy the decorations in the atrium, which are absolutely magical at night. My daughter and I loved taking our time to hunt for ten elves on the shelf via riddles while I personally enjoyed my To-Go margarita from...

When you first see, you feel impressed with the hotel. But the room was smelling like cigarette smoke, the bed is too soft so you sink when laying down, towels do not feel smooth, there is no drawers to put my clothes.

The Gaylord Texan Resort is very beautiful! The hotel is built around a massive indoor atrium that is climate controlled, which is wonderful in the cold/hot months. We have gone to the Gaylord for the last 2 years during Christmas season as a special treat for our kids/grandkids. It is spectacular, but very expensive! There is a daily resort fee,...
