My husband and I traveled to Houston to see our daughter who is there for a semester. We did not spend much time at the B&B but I would recommend staying to anyone asking. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast delicious and we enjoyed meeting new people.

Got a call while on the road to Houston informing us their AC was out and we had to move to a different location. When we arrived (in pouring rain) we spent close to an hour trying to unlock the door at the building and calling the office. NO ANSWER AND NO HELP! We finally went to a motel. The... More

I had a wonderful experience in this charming Victorian old house! The colorful place is full of beautiful decorations. The lovely gracious owner/hostess Robin was very welcoming. She and her exceptional staff cared for all my needs in person. Breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed the conversations with other guests over the magical breakfast table. Great neighborhood, walking distance to the... More

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the property and stayed the weekend in Antonio's room. We were married at the Rothko chapel and wanted to return to the area we love. Robin is a lovely hostess and the staff is very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and especially liked the uniqueness and history of the property.... More

I have to be honest with you. I was disappointed in my first ever B&B experience. First: I always like to confirm my reservations with someone 7-10 days before arrival. After sending several emails and calling every day at least twice a day, 1 or 2 days before my arrival someone finally emailed me. Second: Upon arrival there was no... More

A unique place, kind of reminiscent of the Mad Hatter's tea party (whole house, not just the dining area). The room was comfortable, although the air conditioning was not exactly icy upstairs the in-room floor fan helped. The bathroom was not en suite, which I'd have liked to know ahead of time and possibly chosen a different room.

This B & B is a 1900's vintage farmhouse. It was a working farm until the city of Houston grew. The owner has traveled all over rather the world and brings a bit of her travels into the decor of this large home. Everything is hand painted, even the ceilings. Each room is themed, and there are many homey, personal... More

Good location handy to Montrose. You do need to be prepared for something quite out of the ordinary. If you're a tidy freak and like clean lines etc, this is definitely not the place for you! The owner is very friendly. You can walk to the Art Gallery etc - but Houston is very hot mid summer - around 35-40... More

I and the new husband were gifted a honeymoon stay here by my MIL, and we were blown away by it! It was so whimsical! We first stayed in the Antonio (every room has it's own name), and I felt like I had been transported to the French Quarter. From the penguin sculptures on the fireplace mantel, to the decorated... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Robin's Nest consists of three houses setting side by side (The Big Nest, an 1890 Victorian Farm house; The Little Nest, a 1920s Craftsman, and the Third Nest, a 1938 Southern Saltbox), in Houston's Museum and Arts District, also called Montrose; adjacent to downtown Houston and the Texas Medical Center. We serve a full or continental breakfast. We were voted Audience Winner by Citisearch and best B & B in Houston by Houston Press. We welcome children and pets. The rules are the same: We ask that they be clean, groomed, pest free, and well behaved. Several suites are suitable for long term stays. Robin created Robin's Nest in 1990 after another Houston oil bust. There have been numerous articles on the Inn, among them The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Houston Post, Houston Chronicle, Texas Monthly, Southern Living, Houston Press. Come see us in the heart of Houston. You are welcome. ... more   less
