I was here on business so didn't have the opportunity to spend much time looking for the amenities, but the location was incredible just one tram stop away from baggage claim from my flight! The hotel is beautiful and clean. The rooms are spacious and...More
The Marriott was a great choice of hotel particularly on our departure from Houston. We simply got in the lift, selected "S" for subway, got on a train that is driverless and does the loop around to the various terminals and back to the hotel....More
I've had multiple visits to this hotel. It is connected to the terminal by train, and that makes it very convenient. Rooms are clean, though the hotel can be a little noisy. Recently they closed both restaurants and combined everything into one lobby bar/restaurant. Not...More

Location of airport is ideal if you need to be close to George Bush Intercontinental airport. One can literally take shuttle from your terminal to the hotel and back again. This is ultra convenient if one is arriving in Houston late at night or departing...More
Conveniently attached to IAH airport, with train service to the terminal. That's about where the good part stops.
Hotel is run down, smells like smoke, and is quite noisy (as is expected of a hotel next to an airport). There are many better Marriott hotels...More

You need to call them, but the only way to Galveston is usually by private Transportation or Something like Lyft or Uber. I suggest you check with a Travel company. DIY Group Transportation you might try the government ride share options like: METRO STAR Vanpool & Carpool or erideshare com/carpool for Houston
But the easiest way would probably be Lyft or Uber if its for one person.
The hardest way for a person would be to Use the public Bus to The Galveston Corridor then take the Taxi or Lyft or Uber from webster to League City and the Galveston Bus from League City to Galveston and then use a Taxi to the Port. It costs about $25 each way, but it's hard to time everything and get everything to work right.
I'd recommend checking with a travel agent or using Lyft or Uber and pay about $1.99 per mile so you don't get lost on the way to the Port. If you are taking a ship cruise, ask your travel agent if they can get a shuttle for you and yours. They might use the Metro Van to take you to the Galveston port for a cheap fare.
