What an unexpected surprise! Yes, it's "by the river". That doesn't even begin to describe the expanse and beauty of this campground. There is a picturesque bridge over the river leading to a huge field. Beyond that trails will lead you to several small falls and rushing waters. It's just too delightful! The trees are magnificent! We simply can't wait...

Nice park on the river. Premium sites are big and back to the water. Quiet and laid back atmosphere this time of year. Summers are obviously busier. Staff is very friendly. Sites are gravel but fairly level, most have good shade. Pet friendly.

Great views from premium waterfront RV sites. Tent sites are between 2 waters-rivers. They sell homemade tamales at the office. Yummy. Quiet, small, view property in between Kerrville and Ingram. Unique property. Didn't see the bathrooms, small pool, nice office. We'll be back!

The facility was nice, we paid for the upgraded RV site on the river. It was very pretty and well shaded, it also had full hookups. I used the showers, it had plenty of hot water and it was very clean. The only complaint I have is I HAVE NEVER, had so many flies in my camping area, I must...

We love staying here! We have been coming to By The River for 6 years. The campsites are always well maintained, and have very clean bathrooms. The river has shallow areas and deeper areas for swimming. The island is beautiful for riding bikes, bird watching and tent camping. This is definitely one of our favorite places to stay!

We like it here because it is very peaceful, can walk across bridge over river and it is centrally located between Fredericksburg and Bandera. Plenty of great restaurants close by. We are full time travelers now, but usually stay at least a month in one place. There is plenty to keep us busy here. Especially during wildflower season. The bluebonnets...

Have camped there about 3 different times. We loved the peace and quiet and the beauty of the area. Huge Cypress trees line the Guadalupe River and there are picnic spots to enjoy the view. Best time to go would be in the Fall when it is cooler.

This has been the worst campsite we have had all summer and we had been on the road traveling for three months. We were given a campsite that has a pole lamp that shines in the TV all night long and the campsite is next to the dumpsters so this am very early they are emptying the dumpsters. Never stay...

This is a beautiful, quiet place to stay. I stay here at least once or twice a year, spring and fall. I am a member of 'one of those motorcycle clubs' and in all my stays here (at least a dozen so far) I have yet to hear anyone revving their engines. Nor have I ever seen anyone driving in...
