I arrive to witness actual construction in the lobby/dining area and missing tiles at the welcome desk. I inquired about how the hotel planned on honoring breakfast and received a clunky response at best. The staff replied, "Oh, I told them (the construction workers) they need to have this job completed well before breakfast." Of course, looking at the destruction, I knew that wasn't going to happen, but I'll get back to that in a bit. I then asked for my complementary water and was basically told l, without viewing my membership, that I didn't rate one. This experience was getting worse by the second. Oh, but there is more. Considering how tired I was, and not up to searching for another location, I reluctantly took the key. I headed to room 112, where outside my door was a large amount of maintenance equipment and what looked like equipment room open and not secured. Mind you, there were children roaming the halls. Still, I decided to tough it out. Around midnight, I'm forced to call the front desk because apparently whoever had the room above me decided that was the best time to practice walking as hard as they possibly could. Of course, nothing happened, but I was able to drift back to sleep. I wake at 5am, the noise above is still happening, so I just get up to shower and prep for the day. The water pressure was weak, but hey, of course it was. I head to the breakfast area, if for nothing else, to see if a construction miracle happened. Nope. Watery eggs, sausage, sawdust, and exposed nails were on the menu. My torn shirt was the victim of the side of a breakfast nail. I go on with the day and return this evening with the front of the hotel still in shambles and even more hazards outside my door, leaving just enough room for me to enter. Thank God I am checking out in the morning. Hopefully, I don't have the heavy speedwalker above me tonight. I am sure there are some things I have left out, but due to this sawdust headache, I'm going to take some medicine and try to sleep. #trash #horribleexperience #dobetter

Marriott Titanium member who frequently stays at TownePlace for 2 weeks to 2 months. This is a great location for extended stay. It is on par with others I've stayed at. My main compliment is that the room was just a skosh larger than other locations. Usually we move the chair in between the bed and the desk area. Here we were able to fit the sofa in that same area to watch TV. Except during the high heat of summer, the location is walking distance to restaurants and grocery shopping. I'll be back in August and know I'll be comfortable here for several weeks. Oh! They were in the middle of renovations. A co-worker moved into a renovated room and it looked great. So stays after June will be in refreshed rooms.

The room had a terrible smell. It smelled like cigarettes that were covered up with chemicals. I complained to the front desk and they offered to come wipe things down. I declined and said that would not help. They said we will make it right and did nothing but tell me they were fully booked and could do nothing about the problem. Will not stay at this property EVER AGAIN.

It started out ok, but due to the length of stay, I was forced to see that disgusting attitude of the workers at this place.b At first the accommodations seemed fairly nice but as time process the lack of proper cleaning became a concern to me due to the pandemic, I wondered why it was a relaxed approach especially for the alarming infection rate in the area. The sheets I was told was only changed after 3 days. If this wasn't enough, I was treated as a beggar due to the hotel workers seeing my boyfriend and my not living fancy and simple approach to life. I was called on my phone in the room to say that my card declined. Absolutely rubbish the worker was looking at my account after I checked in. This made me uncomfortable and I brought it to the attention of the Manager who lied to me in the face and said that this is the hotel's policy. I informed her that I am not new to the hotel and that I worked in quest services and I frequently and never before this has happened. My boyfriend was double-charged and so was I. I am truly disgusted by that experience and it made me realized that BLACKS are indeed treated differently. I spent thousands of dollars and still got mediocre treatment and it was reflected in their attitudes and services. I hope this never happens to any other person therefore I shared my story and trust that you rethink before you choose this place.

My husband and I just had the most horrible experience I’ve ever had at any hotel. We made a reservation with TownPlace Suites in Killeen, Texas a week in advance. After driving 14 hours and checking in at 4:00 pm, we were given a room that had a cheaper rate than what we booked. When we asked for the room we reserved, the front desk clerk informed us that they had no rooms available and there was nothing she could do. Did I mention we drove 14 hours?!!! After spending 20 minutes going back and forth asking for a refund, we were told it would take 1-2 days for the funds to be refunded back to our account when it took only seconds for them to take it! We then proceeded to go to the local Fairfield Inn and Suites where we were told the general manager called and told them not to give us a reservation because of a “disturbance”. Since when is asking for what you paid for a disturbance? We were clearly discriminated against and have filed a formal complaint. The customer service was horrible. I will NEVER stay there again.

Ultimately, for the price point it's not a terrible hotel, especially if you want a furnished kitchenette. I would probably stay here again. The options in the Fort Hood area are pretty slim. The best thing about the hotel are its employees- they're very kind and helpful. They're the only reason I'm giving a 3/5. However, this hotel definetely has some issues and it surprises me how highly this hotel is rated. I've stayed in 5 different rooms now and I can tell you that they're not all created equal. - First room: Had a very strong fishy top ramen smell. After airing at the room (leaving the windows open for over 24 hours and fan on high), the smell didn't go away. This room dishes were also dirty (food bits and greasy fingerprints on them) and there was a heavy amount of grime around the stove. I ended up requesting a new room due to the smell was making me sick and making my clothes stink. It did have soft, large towels though. - Second room: Had a slight funky smell, but it aired out within a couple hours. I think the smell was coming from the garbage disposal, which had crud in it. Kitchen was much cleaner otherwise. Towels were tiny, thin, and rough. - Third room: Had the least amount of smell to it of all the rooms I stayed in. Kitchen was clean. Towels were tiny, thin, and rough. - Fourth room: Smell was kinda musty and didn't ever really go away. Floors in bathroom and kitchen were sticky. Dishes were dirty. Mold in the bathroom. Towels were tiny, thin and rough. - Fifth room: Stained furniture and sheets. Kitchen had some grime around the stove and microwave. It did have the big soft towels though.

We stayed at this hotel after staying one night at another hotel in the area. We changed hotels because the other one was really bad. We checked around looking for an inexpensive hotel that allowed pets without an extremely high pet fee or nightly fee. The staff was great and friendly. The price per night wasn't bad and only having the 1 time pet fee was better than most other hotels, including the one's on Fort Hood. We also talked to the staff and liked how friendly and helpful they were. We stayed in the hotel while house hunting, this took a little over a month to complete. The house keeping staff were more than accommodating with our needs, allowing once a week service on our schedule. The morning breakfast staff were always friendly, my wife enjoyed talking to one of them the almost every morning. Jesse and David (night staff) were always friendly and I enjoyed talking to them, even joking with David when I'd see him while walking our dog in the middle of the night or when I'd go to breakfast in the morning. All these factors made our stay very enjoyable.

I used this hotel for an extended stay on a business trip and was pleased from the moment I entered the lobby. The hotel was very clean, inside and out, and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was well maintained and I was very glad to have a full size refrigerator, microwave, and 2-burner cooktop so I could fix my own meals during the stay; dishes and cookware were provided also. The bed was quite comfortable and had an assortment of pillows so I was able to pick the firmness I wanted. The laundry has 3 washers and 6 dryers so I was able to avoid waiting to use the machines as has been the case in other hotels. The entire hotel, lobby, halls and my room were kept clean. All in all it was very impressive.
