I came because I wanted to experience staying in a yurt or a teepee. We ended up staying in a yurt. it was perfect since we stayed in January and it was very cold. The yurt had AC and heating. The campground itself is just exactly that, a campground. So expect shared bath houses and public toilets. Not exactly ideal...

Very ool place with several different and very nicely furnished and decorated trailers and tents. With a group of friends, we arrived from Albuquerque at night and the smell of the fresh air when getting out of the car combined with the very clear sky was priceless. Really enjoyed the experience !

We went there for the New Year's Eve party and had fun camping that night. The camping is definitely more expensive than state park camping, but if you've never stayed here before it's worth it. They have outdoor kitchens that are free to use with hot plates and are a good gathering place for people. We met some kind people...

You don't even have to leave El Cosmico to have the real Marfa experience, it's all right there for you: the artist-type people, the hipster-esque ambiance with the decor of vintage posters for music festivals in the lobby, and desert flatlands of the property, as far as the eye can see. My one negative would be that it is the...

We went to El Cosmico with our dog for New Year’s Celebration. I can’t think of a more upbeat, friendly, and young crowd to be in to celebrate a new year. The setting is mostly rustic (it’s a campground after all), and they had lit trails around the site, fire pits to stay warm, a bar with affordable drinks (the...

You need to book this place really far in advance but I think that on balance it is worth it. The place is just outside of Marfa, close enough to walk or bike. We stayed in one of their explorer type tents as we couldn't get a booking in a tepee. Found it really nicely knitted out with a very...

This was a fun place to experience but I doubt we'll be back. It's very hipster and trendy but we were disappointed at the noise level on our first night. We stayed in a tent our first night and were kept awake all night but some noisy campers who stayed up until 4 AM (and left all their cans and...

Really loved our stay here although we were only here for one night during a four night trip to West Texas. I've never stayed anywhere like this before. We stayed in one of the trailers. The outside shower was great! The place looks amazing at sunset. I only wish the bar was open a little later - it shut at...

Stayed in a tepee with kids ages 5 and 7, we all wished we would have planned to stay more than one night. Sleeping in a tepee, in a comfortable bed, next to the warm fire was great! The facility is very well maintained and all the staff super nice! Great relaxing vibe and lots of bunnys hopping around.

Simple. Peaceful. Friendly. Convenient. Arrived without a reservation to tent camp. Nice grounds and facilities. Use the baths and relax! It was cold in November so be prepared if you are pitching a tent but the other rooms on the property look fun and comfortable. Price was $15 for camping and the rooms are up to $180
