This is such an amazing hotel. The staff treated us so well from the moment we were picked up from the airport. My in-laws were traveling with us and they were blown away at the hotel greeting with warm towels and Jamaica/hibiscus sorbet when we arrived! The rooms were beautiful,

The service at Las Lagunas it tip top and the location at the lake is very nice, but there are also some major flaws: the beds are extremely hard and the rooms can be quite noisy as other guests rattle past you on the wooden pathways through the jungle.

I want to write that this place was stunning, fabulous etc but despite the unique setting on the lagoon and the large individual cabins on stilts, I cannot rave as previous reviewers have done. We stayed in a waterfront master suite which frankly was a bit of a mash up of

To be honest with you I can’t say I was bit often or at all by mosquitoes. Now it wouldn’t hurt to have the spray or clip on with you.

Thank you for your inquiry! We would be delighted to be your hosts in Peten! You have the following options to go to Tikal and Flores: - Hire a car, there are several car rental companies - We can organize a private tour or transfer (this option is normally more expensive) - There are collective daily tours to Tikal (the price is $65 per person) - We now offer complimentary shuttles to Flores three days per week (depending on the season this days change). - A shuttle from the hotel to Flores is $10 per person for the round trip. - A taxi from the hotel to Flores and viceversa normally costs around $40 For the trip to San Ignacio I would think the best option is to hire a transfer to the border. We can help you quote with different companies. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
