I've broken this review down into the main good, bad and odd points of our stay. Overall, 3 stars feels a little unfair but it's not quite 4 either. We stayed here for 5 nights and mostly enjoyed the experience, save for a few issues. Our stay was the first week after the schools went back, meaning the hotel didn't...

Booked this hotel as a one night stay after 7 nights in the South west of the Island and before we flew back home. A great hotel with fantastic facilities and totally relaxing. Great views that can be taken in at any one of the hotels bars. As its a resort, you must be aware that a bit of walking...

Let's start with the basics. I was victimized by the short-lived air traffic controllers strike in October and lost two nights at this hotel. They tried to make up for it but I was very upset. This was meant to be a three night pre-Athens, 10 day cruise event. I found this hotel on the Web and set it up...

We booked our recent break at Cape Sounio through Secret Escapes/Inspired Luxury Escapes. Unfortunately on arrival at Athens airport there was no car to meet us. I made 3 calls to the hotel and after waiting over an hour took a taxi to the hotel and told the receptionist the hotel could reimburse our fare. When I asked why we...

Cape Sounio is a resort of course but at this level, it could be far better. We stayed three nights and spent the last night at a three star hotel directly on the beach opposite and I thought that the beach hotel was a better choice sadly. Cape Sounio has wonderful pluses and a few minuses that it could fix....

Every single thing about this resort is Great ! We have stayed in the resort for our family holidays and started enjoying ourselves from the moment we have checked in. I can say the scenery you have in this hotel to one of the world heritage sites is phenomenal, lobby area is small and friendly just reminded me of resorts...

First time visiting Sounio on the southern tip of mainland Greece, close enough to Athens and the airport but remote enough for some peace and quiet. This resort hotel has much to offer. The accommodation is of a bungalow type with own garden and in some cases, own private swimming pool as well. Most bungalows are built on an incline...

There are a lot of reviews about this hotel .. and I agree with most of them. But there is one thing which is not mentioned: It is the large fitness program of the resort. It is so much fun to do some stretching with this stunning view. I want to thank NIki who is such a great trainer. I...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
One of the most famous archaeological sites of Greece is the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, south-east of Athens. The Grecotel Cape Sounio literally clings to the side of a pine-clad hillside with panoramic views over this ancient monument. Behind the hotel is the Sounio National Park and below the hotel are two bays (one sandy and the other is shingle) which are approached via tunnels under the road (ancient river path).
