My stay at the St. Thomas B&B was just what I needed for the days prior to my departure from three glorious weeks in Samos, Greece.

I was greeted warmly by Elizabeth and felt at home right away. Aris, the owner, was very kind and helpful to me, too, and made a lovely breakfast with the most delicious fresh squeezed orange juice!

My room was cozy and comfy, with a small fridge complete with a much appreciated bottle of cold water awaiting my arrival! There was an electric kettle and fixings for coffee and tea, as well. Being less than twenty minutes from the airport, I didn’t hear one jet fly overhead and slept very well.

In a 20-30 minute walk, I was at a nice little restaurant; there was also a small food market on the way. In addition, there was a traditional Greek taverna less than a minute walk from the B&B.

I was referred to the B&B by travel writer and expert on all things Greek, Rebecca Hall, also author of Girl Gone Greek. If you’re planning to visit Greece, or not, I recommend her book and travel articles. Very helpful!

I definitely recommend the St. Thomas B&B, especially for its relaxing back gardens, comfortable, clean, and quiet rooms, and close proximity to the airport. Elizabeth kindly arranged my taxi to and from the B&B. She was lovely and I’ll miss her!

Charming B&B less than 15 minutes from Athens International Airport. I started in a ground floor room that was large, clean and nicely appointed. The King sized bed was very comfortable. Janet the proprietor was super accommodating, arranging taxis inbound and outbound. A restaurant/tavern is literally a two minute walk and the food and service is outstanding. I'd definitely return!

My dog and I spent 2 nights at St Thomas B & B last month, as he was due to have an operation and I thought it would be the best place for him to recuperate at. Nice and quiet, pleasant garden for Sam to walk around and we even got a couple of hours sitting in the sun by the pool, so no complaints for late November!! I had a nice room, and although COVID-19 has made hotel and guest houses difficult to run, I still received a very good breakfast every morning. Janet also uses a "pet friendly" taxi driver, Adriana, who was excellent. So recommended for anyone who has to take a pet to or from Athens.

Our initial emails with the Janet were helpful and prompt. On Saturday I asked if arrival between 3 and 5 would work and I didn’t get a response. On Sunday morning, the day we were to arrive I emailed before 9 am to say we would be arriving between 3 and 5, and we left for our long drive to get there. After we were on the road Janet replied that she’d decided to go to lunch and wouldn’t be home until 4, but this was not until after 11 so we didn’t get her response and ended up sitting outside a locked gate in a very hot car, unable to get any of the 3 phone numbers on the website to answer. The owner wasn’t apologetic.
The taverna near her wasn’t open so she suggested another restaurant and offered to call to see if we needed a reservation. I said we wanted to eat early, at 6:30 then before she left the room I asked her to just make a reservation for 6:30 and to let us know if there was a problem. Before we left we knocked on the owner’s door twice about another issue and no one responded. . We got to the restaurant to find it closed (and nothing around it opened on Sunday) Later the owner said we’d told her 7 and she’d called the first place and had another restaurant suggestion but we’d left for the first restaurant.
The room was comfortable, not fancy but everything we needed.
The pool is very pretty and there was a pleasant balcony overlooking the grounds.
Communication seemed very confused and was off about several other things also-things just aren't’ running well right now.

I apologise for any confusion. I didn't receive a phone call and didn't receive your message until the next day. I hadn't wanted to disturb you in your room as I thought you were resting after your long drive and was waiting to catch you as you were going out but unfortunately didn't hear you knock on our door. I apologise once again and hope you had a pleasant trip home

The property is tired and when I arrived there was no one there to greet me although I had confirmed my time of arrival. A sullen staff member who didn’t speak English showed me to my room. The neighbour dog barked right outside my window. The breakfast was terrible. Cheap ingredients and the same staff member served an oily omelet when I had asked for scrambled egg.

An old and dated property, in need of tender loving care. Grounds are lovely, although could use more regular attendance. One can see this was once a great family home, with swimming pool, outdoor bar, outdoor fireplace and dining. Now sad and tired. The bedding and towels appeared grubby. (I'm sure they were clean...just old)Take earplugs as the local dogs will be barking all night.

Upon arrival there was no one to greet us, except the cleaner who didn't speak English.

Confusion about our booking, so we sat in their garden for an hour until it was eventually sorted (not offered any refreshments while waiting).

Pool looked dirty (not like the photos of past), and the property was very tired.

It's sad as the wife of the owner, who has since passed, looked after the place and guests. It's obviously gone downhill since, and I
feel sorry for husband who is trying. However, there is no excuse for no one to meet us to take us to our room.

Lovely B&B close to the airport. Charming and friendly owner. Rooms small but very clean. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. Previous posts complain about neighbours dogs which did bark on and off but not an issue, just close the windows and door. Nice breakfast with choice of eggs, cereal, Greek yoghurt with honey and freshly squeezed orange juice. If you want a stay close to the airport and a taste of true Greek hospitality then stay here.

Comfortable big bed!!!! We liked everything about this cute B&B. The pool and gardens were lovely, as were our hosts. The room was spacious, equipped with French press and good water pressure in the shower. For being so close to the airport, the property was wonderfully quiet. We will stay here again next time we come to Athens, for sure.

This is a real find; a real home, with a lovely floodlit pool, close to Athens airport. I was traveling alone, as I had to cut my trip short, so the warm welcome was particularly appreciated. I only met Janet (I arrived late and left early) but she couldn't have been more hospitable. What could have been nothing more than a handy stopover was much more; I wished I was staying longer! The room I stayed in was large and luxurious, complete with fridge, kettle, tea & coffee, etc. The ensuite bathroom was very nice and the place is clean and beautifully kept. There was no AC in the room but it was very comfortable with the windows open (and this was August!) I arrived by bus, and Janet carefully planned a rendezvous point at a motorway exit (we co-ordinated by text, which made for precision timing). She then got up early the next morning to drive me to the airport, which was 15 minutes away. I didn't have the breakfast as I was leaving too early, but from the other guests' descriptions it sounds far nicer than any other breakfast my family and I had in Greece! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.
