Great location near the beach, restaurants, coffee shops and public walk. Just 5 minutes walking from the main beach, but unfortunately it was not open yet and we had to walk more far so as to swimm, as weather was already very hot. There are bakeries, grocceries and supermarkets very close in walking distance. The pool is good for kids to play and there is also a lifeguard watching the pool, something very important for parents to fell safe about the kids. The girl in reception Anastassia was very helpful and kind and spended a lot of her time to inform us about nearby excursions and beaches, eating places, kids activities, sightseeing etc. Negative of the hotel is that furniture are old, the breakfast poor and there is not a bar and pool service for food and juices during the day to keep kids more time in the pool. Varkiza is a very beautiful place just 25 minutes driving from airport and in conjuction with the low hotel price made our holiday very economical and enjoyable.

This hotel is great value for money. On top of being cozy, clean, close to the sea and restaurants, and with a supernice swimmingpool + lifeguard, every one of the staff was so helpful and friendly. Every time we needed advices or help, they were happy to help and always with a smile. We had a major problem at the beginning of our stay and the owner of the hotel, a lovely lady, just solved it for us - which made a huge difference to our long waited holiday. Thank you, efcharistó 🇬🇷💙🇫🇮

Such a lovely little place to stay in the heart of food and drinks (coffee) all around and a short walk to the water and flower market. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Lovely and clean, cosy room with a lovely balcony view and the breakfast and pool was nice and refreshing. We only stayed for a night but wish it was for longer! We hope to be back soon! Thank you!

Not to be trusted Be very aware. These people will take your booking, then cancel without telling you. Stuck without a place to sleep tonight because of this. Make sure you have everything in writing if you ever consider staying here. Four days ago we prolonged our stay, got ok on that under the terms that we would change rooms. Today, there is no room. Shame on you.

My usual place in Kavouri was booked and I found this place by accident. But, i'm so happy I did. The Stephanakis Hotel reminded me of the Greek Movies of yesteryear, those EOT (Greek Board of Tourism) Hotels with great prices, charming service, clean rooms, and a spacious lobby area to work, or enjoy a beer. The swimming pool even has it's own lifeguard. I used the pool several times, and the lifeguard Fania was so kind! Check-in was a breeze, and the staff superb. The Special thanks to Mr. Vangelis and Mrs. Stefanakis for their exceptional care. I will come back again and again.....

We stayed in Varkiza en route from Crete rather than trek all the way into downtown Athens for one night. Cute seaside town with excellent restaurants. The hotel was European style, small old rooms but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good- selections of bread, cheese, cold cuts, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal. Coffee was so so. Price was definitely right!

This is a wonderful hotel with outstanding hospitality, in the charming seaside suburb of Varkiza, on the Athenian Riviera. It is in Athens, but outside the central area, in a tranquil and relaxing precinct across the road from the beach and only a quick taxi ride away from the enchanting Vouliagmeni Lake. It is also very proximate to the airport, only 20 minutes drive away if that. When I first arrived in Athens I stayed at the Sofitel at the airport on the grounds that it was on-site and with easy access to my flight to Rhodes the next morning. However, now that I know Stefanakis Hotel Apartments, it would be just as easy to jump in a taxi and travel directly here, even if you have another flight the next day. The only reason I might stay actually at the airport again is if I have a very early morning departure between 5-8am. Anything after that and I would stay here at Stefanakis. My room was basic but cool and pleasant, there's a swimming pool (which I didn't use as I prefer the sea and the lake). The highlight of staying here were the family who owned the hotel and their staff. They were really hospitable and kind and personally farewelled me as I departed for my flight to Dubai and Singapore. I had only stayed here two nights! As I left the hotel the owner gave me moistened tissues with the hotel's logo emblazoned on it and said "here - for coolness." I kept them with me all the way to Singapore. Then, when at Changi Airport, awaiting my flight to Auckland in the KrisFlyer Lounge, I couldn't find any napkins or serviettes in the crowded dinning area but realised I kept Stefanakis's tissues in my pockets from 4 days before. I opened the packed and these delightful fresh tissues fell into my fingers and I was able to cool and refresh myself just as the owner had said! One could easily stay here for two weeks and have a marvellous holiday: a perfect combination of sea, sun and proximity to central Athens and its sapphire and turquoise blue coastline.

We went to Varzika for our friends' wedding and were looking for an affordable option and not too far from the wedding venue. The hotel is quite simple and the breakfast options are not vast but the rooms were very clean, we slept quite and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The swimming pool was lovely and very clean too. There are quite a few restaurants, bakeries and a quite big supermarket nearby. We really enjoyed our stay there! We would definitely recommend it

The floor in the room was literately covered by long black hairs which were not ours. That was horrible. The bed was cosy. The bathroom was very small and the shower in a half bathtub with a shabby curtain was not comfortable. The staffs were kind but I would choose another hotel for the next time.
