What great place! We had the Sunrise suite for 5 nights and we wanted to stay for 10 more nights! The suite was comfortable and very clean! The best part of this lodge is the porch. The view is fantastic. Loved it! Would stay there again!

OMG! Arrived at 8:00 at night and the view was very outstanding. Stayed in the sunrise suite with a bedroom. A king size bed, in the left and fold away sofa bed on the ground floor. You gotta see it!!!

We booked a room through Airbnb for two nights of our vacation. Halfway through vacation, we realized we would be in the area longer, and booked another room (the first room we booked was not available the additional days). Within minutes, I had a response about my room request.

This place is great! Roomy and comfortable with everything you need to be at home while visiting Yosemite or anywhere else in the area. The grounds are lovely and the decks provide a wonderful vantage point to enjoy the view. Bar-b-q s are available for those who want to whip up

That is correct, after 10 years we ended our breakfast service in October of 2016 and now have lower lodging only rates year round. This way guests can use the savings to eat where and most importantly when they choose. Thank you :)

thank you!
I will add that Sierra Mountain Lodge B&B is a beautiful place to wait out a snowstorm if one occurs or just to 'hang out' for at least part of your stay up there. Yosemite is beautiful, of course, but the lodge is nice enough to be its own destination as well and the owners are super-nice. You'll have a great time whether it snows or not!

Morning, we are at 3000 foot elevation and winter days can vary from snow to 60 degree days at our location. To enter Yosemite in the winter you can either take the El Portal entrance which is around 4000 foot elevation or the Hwy 41 entrance which climbs up over 6500 foot elevation. Snow chains are required to be carried in your vehicle during the winter season in case they are needed. They plow the roads quickly and most road if closed during a storm open back up within a couple hours. Tioga Pass, Glacier Point road and the road to Mariposa Grove are all closed for the winter season. Badger Pass is scheduled to open this weekend for snow skiing. Hope this information helps. Happy to have you join us, Brenda - Innkeeper Sierra Mountain Lodge
