We just got back from our stay at L'Amara, and it was fantastic! We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was really nice and modern and comfortable - perfect for our family of 2 adults and 3 small kids. The complex is nice, the pool...More

We always stay here. The apartments are large and clean enough. The ability to order pastries and bread the day before for the next morning is great. But, we had so much trouble checking in it was ridiculous and made the start of the trip...More

L'Amara is exactly what it says it is, a block of self catering apartments. It does not pretend to be a hotel. Four of us stayed in a three bedroom apartment so there was plenty of room. The apartments are well equipped and modern. There...More

We've been skiing with our children for the past 14 yrs, starting when they were 3yrs old and our son is now 17! Of all the resorts we have visited across France (Alpe 'd'Huez, Le Plagne, Les Deux Alpes), Slovenia and Italy, this is definitely the best resort of all, and the only place we have returned to! Visited for the 1st time in 2015 and were back for the new year this year. The resort has everything you need for a fab holiday.
We stayed in the Electra apartments on our first visit, which was great. However, this year we went for the L'Amara. Absolutely wonderful! The pool will offer you a nice break from the slopes, especially so on a 1st skiing trip with little ones. We also love cooking so the comfortable surroundings of the well equipped apartment suited us great, as well as having a small supermarket nearby.
Make it work for you! Skiing holidays are worth their gold in the bank of memories. Good luck!

There is, indeed, an underground car park but you will have to pay for it. However there is a free open air car park fairly close to the place. We used it while we were there and find it quite convenient. Only 2 minutes walk, on the other side of the road. They will let you use the underground car park to unload your car the first day if you want to and then from there on you can use the public one.
Hope this helps.
