Our family of five (me, wife, 16 year old son, 14 year old daughter and eight year old son) have just returned from a great week at this club hotel. As usual, we booked pretty late (about 10 days before departure) and, frankly, given the two stars and photos (looks like an annex to a concrete super-structure, which it is), our expectations were not high. Our main criteria were price and qualilty of ski-ing. So the accommodation and food quality were secondary. The price was decent (who ever really gets a cheap ski-ing holiday, specially in the Trois Vallees?) and the ski-in/ski-out claim was, for once, true to its word. One point: as someone has observed, the very short blue run down the chalet was icy last week as it's in the shade in the late afternoon. Despite this,…

Just returned form Les Menuires where unfortunately the skiing was hampered by poor visibility on several days but we were very pleased with the accommodation and service. The family room had no frills and was not that that roomy (though perfectly adequate), but no problem with cleanliness in the room or any other area of the hotel. Two things made it a stand-out place for a holiday. 1. Ski in, ski out - great location to start and end the day, although the blue run down from the village centre was icy when we were there. 2. The chalet hotel team, led by Sarah, did a fantastic job of looking after us. Special mention must go to the chef, Shane, who cooked great food all week for everyone and looked after the fussy eaters very well too. If there was anything on the menu my…

Basic is the best word to describe this hotel which is more like a hostel in terms of room size and quality. However if you can get a good deal here (£299 - £399) then it's a steal! The location is perfect to ski-in/out and you can explore the entire 3 Valleys with ease. The staff and in particular the manager Sarah are excellent as was the food. On the down side the boot/ski room is too small. The hot water sometimes took a while to come through in the bathroom which was obviously not welcome after a hard day on the slopes. Overall though it's a great base although the night life was very quiet compared to Val or St Anton, but then so are most resorts.

It is Ski In Ski Out in Menuires which is the cheaper resort in the 3 Valleys so a great spot for budget skiers. The hotel is extremely basic with 18 rooms, sandwiched between 2 very big apartment blocks. The rooms are all quads: double or twinned with a bunk bed in the corridor. Some rooms can accommodate more. It looked like a staff accommodation which has been converted into a budget style chalet. Room is very warm with heated bathroom floor with very basic bath shower and curtain rail. Storage is minimal and we were in room 7 on the first floor, right in the middle of the hotel with balcony view of the pistes. We are right opposite the games room/ lounge so it could be noisy but it was ok this week. Rooms not cleaned on day off. Rooms cleaned well enough but not…

Went on a Ski France package. Cannot fault the staff (very friendly and apart from one meal the food was pretty good). The Club Hotel has seen better days, and it's quite basic, but the beds are comfy enough. The location, however was fantastic, true ski in ski out, and for complete beginners a "yoghurt pot" pedestrian lift up to the main resort, which is in turn linked to the entire 3 or 4 Valleys ski area.

The hotel is in need of some TLC but stayed here on a ski holiday in Jan 2013 and the bed was comfy and the sheets clean. It's great for ski in ski out. The room was ok, have had smaller on a French ski holiday. Bathroom was really tiny and that really did need an overhaul. It's very basic but then it is classed as 2* so you get what you pay for but food was good, staff friendly so can't complain. If it wasn't for skiing I would not want to spend a week there though!
