We arrived at the hotel on 26th and just seemed to miss a large group of Spanish youths who had appeared to run riot. Dinner service on the 26th was rowdy and we were concerned due to the reviews. More youths did arrive on the Tuesday but to be honest they were ok. A little oblivious to other residents but ok. I agree that Jet2 should have forewarned customers and the hotel manager should have been available. I felt we were lucky with the timing of our holiday as it could have been much worse and I sympathise with other residents.

The hotel is great, nice rooms, nice pool, spotlessly clean. The restaurant staff could not do enough for us (myself, my husband and 8 month old son) - special mention to Alex and Paula who were just lovely. I found the food to be of a decent standard, breakfast was brilliant and had everything you could think of. Housekeeping were also great, very attentive and the room was always spotless. The location is also good but at the top of the hill - it didn’t bother us but might if you have mobility issues.

We would stay here again.

We have just returned from our 5th trip to playa park and once again I can’t speak highly enough of this amazing hotel and their exceptional staff. We book this hotel every year knowing that we will have a first class experience and every year we return this hotel out does its self. To start off with, the reception staff who are so polite once you arrive and quickly get you assigned to your rooms without any hustle. The rooms are cleaned fantastically and daily by room service and credit must be given to them when working in such hot conditions. The dining team are very fluent when you queue in the evenings, and food choice every night for the 11 days met the family’s requirements. Each of the dining staff are always very polite. The animation team who take care of the kids club and do the bingo every night are just brilliant, working long hours and I never seen them once not smile. I want to make a special mention to Jesus and his bar staff, please mention to them playa park the words “2 corona” and past on my best wishes to them 😂.

See you all again next year

Just spent 2 weeks here from 5th July to 19 July and there were absolutely no issues with large groups of children as mentioned I’m in many reviews below.

Firstly, upon check in, you pay the usual tourist tax and are given two keys to the room. You need to keep one key in the room key slot at all times to keep the air conditioning on. It’s amazing going back to an air conditioned room. The staff here are amazing.

50€ for 2 weeks to rent a fridge is steep however it’s necessary and the hotel are aware you’ll have to pay it. 20€ for an iron however you get this back when you return it.

The staff in the restaurant are just amazing. They’re so happy. Paula is just lovely, always smiling, remembers her guests and always attentive. She’s amazing with every guest. Alex was always making efforts to make children laugh and he was always excellent. When we sat at our table, Joel was more often than not the person who served us, took away plates and generally busy and helpful. Ana generally welcomed us in more days and said goodbye upon leaving. The restaurant staff are amazing.

The food changes most evenings with pork, chicken, fish and beef readily available most evenings.

The rooms were great with the air con and the cleaners were great too. Rooms were spotless. We were on the 6th floor and the views were absolutely superb. Great views across the sea and we could see as far as the Salou Pier.

My only gripe was that I emailed the hotel asking to leave a surprise for my wife as it was our honeymoon. A bottle of wife and chocolates and I would pay for this over I’m the phone and once arrive. Unfortunately this wasn’t done and we walked into an empty room. It was quite disappointing but I get the hotel was extremely busy.

The location is excellent. We absolutely love walking so the hills and distance did not affect us. There is also a bus stop directly outside, multiple supermarkets and a BusPlana stall close by for excursions.

I loved the hotel and would highly recommend it for long stays. They sea view room is an absolute must. The laundrette nearby is also very handy.

Stayed here lovely hotel, great location first two days lovely then a school arrived around60 students who have taken over the pool the food court the noise of them shouting everywhere in the hotel is really bad or throwing things off the balconies, taking over the food court the entertainment no seats as the group took over.

Would not recommend based on how this hotel allow this amount of groups to attend during peak season and take over facilities. I understand a family hotel but they do not take into account when it’s 1am and children need to sleep but school children still shouting in corridors and on balconies, teachers sat in bar drinking wine not supervising.

Great location
Hotel clean and facilities good until over taken by school children.

We paid a lot of hard saved money for this trip such a shame!! If no students I would recommend it but based on this will not return will be going else where

What a lovely place to stay. Every part of the hotel is immaculately clean and tidy. Lovely first impression when you enter the main door.

Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Especially sea view rooms, which are as advertised.

Pool is lovely and relaxing, and the guy who cleans it every evening and morning does a great job.

Evening entertainment really good and very enjoyable.

Staff behind bar are always happy to meet you!

Staff in the breakfast are and very friendly and always smiling! Especially the older ladies at the door area. Chef with the big hat and glasses always says hello and takes times to chat to guests during breakfast. Very pleasant.

Two very small things I may possible change would be to add an "up and down direction" walk way near the food area, as people tend to walk in every direction and food and hot drinks could easily cause an accident if spilled.

Housekeeping room staff do tend to walk straight in without knocking also... so maybe reconsider knocking and waiting and then entering after that.

Great hotel and would recommend for a lovely enjoyable relaxing stay! Well done Playa Park!!!

We stayed here from 18th -25th August 2022, half board, 2 adults 13y & 10yr old. We were very pleased with the hotel location and facilities after the transfer drop off seeing some of the hotels located in the town. Lovely spacious clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Room was fine, balcony with sea views. Loved the room service, although felt bad someone had to do the cleaning everyday! We've only ever been SC before so HB was new to us. Great choice of food, something for everyone, I'm vegan which was a bit harder but I never went hungry! Friendly, hard working staff in the kitchens and restaurant ( working too hard really as it was very busy) Pool quite small for the size of the hotel and everyone reserved a lounger with a towel ( whats that about? ) so avoided the pool and stuck to the beaches. Lovely beach 5 minutes to the left, main strip with endless beaches to the right. Nice for evening walks. Local towns pleasent to visit, Avoid the theme parks in August! too hot and too busy we spent most of the day queing and rides were often breaking down! I would recomend it for families. Great holiday overall @jet2

*Detailed review*
Myself and my family stayed here for a week, last week. I really didn’t want to come home after staying at 4R playa park, I couldn’t have asked for a better weeks holiday. First of all I’d just like to say a huge thank you to the cleaners, bar staff, restaurant staff and the entertainment staff they cannot do enough for you and will go above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy. The hotel and rooms are very modern and are kept immaculate, we had a sea view room on the 6th floor and I’d 100% recommend paying extra for the sea view, you won’t be disappointed. There is free wifi available all around the hotel, pool and all rooms.

The location is brilliant, if you don’t mind a walk. There are 2 absolutely beautiful beaches 5 minutes away but the main strip is about a nice 10 minute walk. There is a few nice bars and shops on the way down the hill when walking into the main part of Salou. But if you walk the other way into town, the scenery is absolutely beautiful but the hills cannot be avoided. If you’re someone who struggles with hills or walking for about 10/15 minutes this may not be the best hotel for you, but there are always taxis around if needs be.

Breakfast was pretty much the same each money. You’d have bacon, sausages, eggs, pancakes, churros, pastries, fresh fruit and selection of meats/cheeses. Breakfast was delicious and I had no complaints.
The evening meal was lovely most nights, I think there was only 1 night out of the 7 days where myself and my family didn’t like much but there was a good selection such as a salad bar, different meats etc. The desserts were always lovely and they would always think about the children when it came to meal times. The chef who stands near the first counter was extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for everyone.

There is entertainment every night for example an acrobat act, singer, karaoke, dance groups, music shows etc. And every night before the entertainment there was 2 games of prize bingo. The entertainment would last for around an hour and was enjoyable for all.

Reception staff do come across slightly rude and will just tell you to speak to your rep if you do have any issues, we only had one issue when the electric went complete out in the room. I explained the situation to a lady on reception but she was just rude and snappy but after around 30 minutes the situation was resolved.

Personally I think this hotel should be a 4 star it’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in, in mainland Spain. I’d 100% recommend this hotel to anyone, there’s just such a lovely vibe and again the location is great.

Thank you to all the staff for making my week so enjoyable :)

Just returned from a 2 week stay. I was worried reading some of the reviews but I can honestly say we had a fabulous holiday. The rooms were spotless and spacious, very comfortable bed and excellent shower. My partner tested positive with covid on our 3rd day, the hotel staff were amazing. They put an extra bed in my daughters room for me so I didn’t run the risk of catching it. They allowed me to take food from the restaurant for him to eat in the room. The food in the restaurant was good, plenty to choose from. I eat gluten free and it was never a problem for Inma getting me bread and cereal on a morning, always served with a smile. The dining room and cleaning staff work extremely hard, a big shout out to Leo (cleaner) who kept the outside entertainment area and toilets clean every evening. Leo always smiled and acknowledged us. She even came to say goodbye when she seen us collecting our luggage to leave. The little beach 5 minute walk from the hotel is beautiful (very hilly/steps though). Although many sun beds were being reserved with towels and no one laid on them until the afternoon, we never had a problem finding 5 beds. The entertainment staff were great with the kids (and adults) Andrea and Ona worked long hours but always had a smile. The hotel has such a lovely atmosphere and all the kids played so well in the pool together. We look forward to returning 🥰

Recently got back from a seven night stay at this hotel, and it certainly is not 3 star I was staying with two small children, and it was not very child friendly from the pool always overcrowded with school parties and to small for the amount of people who were using it and not really suitable for small children to paddle in. Rooms very small if staying with children and not particular safe by that I mean the balcony, the furniture is light weight made of cheap plastic and my children managed to move it very easily and climb on it, and by doing so could easily get over the balcony as the balcony did not have any safety glass etc, this was such a worry I asked several times for the furniture to be removed to avoid any accidents but to no avail so eventually for the rest of the holiday I moved it into my parents room, to be told by hotel staff that I should not have moved it, but I was not prepared to put my small children at risk. The food awful often cold and dried up nothing remotely suitable for children and if you are vegetarian or vegan you will go hungry. The dining area was also incredibly noisy with the number of people, also there were only about two members of staff who could understand English so asking for drinks etc, was a problem.

Also be aware that if you wish to hire a kettle it is 10 Euro which you get back at the end of your stay, but strangely if you wish to use a fridge there is a cost of 25 Euro per week never come across this before and this would be a problem if you have medication which needs to be stored in a fridge.

Next to the noise most nights really loud music continued until 11pm,there again not great when you have small children who are trying to sleep, also walls are paper thin I could here the people next door talking.

There also did not appear to be a playground for children.

This was one of the best3 star hotel i have ever stayed in spotless staff are great food was cold now and again but not surprizing when you are catering for a large demand. The enertainment was ok but not great the worst night was the kareoke night they never had a clue how to do it getting the music from google in 2 hours they managed to do 12 songs people had there names down but never had the chance to sing . The management should give them the right equipment to do the job. One last thing the pool area is small but the kids still played football and this did cause a issue with other guests
