The Sol Fuerteventura Jandia All Suites garners mixed reviews, with its prime location near the beach and local shops being a highlight for guests. While travelers commend the spacious, clean rooms, the hotel's atmosphere and entertainment often fall short of expectations. Service quality is a common gripe, as visitors encounter long waits for drinks and inattentive staff. Additionally, the hotel's amenities struggle to meet demand, leading to overcrowding at pools and sunbed shortages. Despite its cleanliness, many guests question the value for money, particularly due to the extra costs for expected services.

We stayed at the Sol for a lovely week at the end of March and we loved our stay, can't wait to return! The weather was amazing, everywhere in the hotel is spotless and the staff all work so hard to keep it that way. All of the staff here are fantastic, so hardworking, helpful and friendly. They really care about their customers and their experience here which makes all the difference! Especially Marina in Guest Relations, she is a star, she knows 5* service and care and she goes the extra mile to make your holiday extra special! I can't recommend their people highly enough! The entertainment team especially around the pool were great, and we loved the sax player by the pool too!

Our room was great, super clean, spacious, huge comfy bed, walk in shower, lovely eco friendly toiletries, stocked mini bar when requested and a bit of a sea view from our balcony which was lovely. We were celebrating a special birthday during our stay and we were kindly gifted some lovely aloe vera products on arrival plus beach towels, robes and flip flops in our room and some birthday decorations and card which was really lovely and much appreciated!

I recommend requesting block P2/3 in advance with the hotel for the most accessible and central rooms accessed by lift for any mobility issues. We were really pleased that there was air con in both living area and bedroom but it was not very cool, needed to be stronger and cooler, were glad we weren't there in hottest weather. Also chrome cast didn't work which was a shame as was great the hotel had the facility but staff explained they were awaiting it to be fixed.

We were all inclusive and really glad we were, 90% of customers are and the soft drink quality is fab, all big brands. Wasn't keen on the pre mixed cocktails though, very strong and strange tastes, would've loved freshly made cocktails. We are veggie and vegan and the food was good overall, always lots of veg and salad options at all meals, pasta, pizza, fries etc. Snack bar has limited options for veggies so would be good to include a vegan burger or hot dog, especially at snack bar as there were meat options but the veggie burger was payable on a separate menu.

Signage could be improved on all food and desserts with ingredients, allergens or V/Vg made clear, as chefs English is limited. Soft drinks, water, beer, sangria and wine are all self serve from machines at all meal times which is great. You do have to book time slots for each meal on arrival which wasn't ideal, however we found them flexible with this at the restaurant and only needed to show your wristband most times which was also your room key which was really handy!

The beach is really lovely, a long deep stretch of soft sand and clear water, just across the road and costing 13.50 for 2 sunbeds and a parasol and lovely views across to Morro Jable, well patrolled also.

The entertainment at night was nice, usually live singers and low key from about 9-10.30pm, nothing too lively but nice and chilled with people sitting playing cards and games provided by the hotel and it was well attended.

The pool was lovely, we very much enjoyed it! Great sunbeds and parasols, lovely Bali Bed option on the deck too with sea views! Would have loved to use the pool more, but there was no natural shaded area. It is open 10-6, closing at 7 would've been better. We would have loved some shade at the sunbeds near the main accessible steps to the pool. The aqua gym was great fun, 45 minutes every day at 12 o'clock, a great addition and recommend!

The location is lovely, so much more to see and do than we originally thought and the best we saw on our 2 hour drive across the island from the airport, its worth the journey! Hire an E-Scooter and head over the beach path to pretty Morro Jable for lovely views and get a photo with the sign or the opposite direction and visit the lovely shops of Jandia! Very few restaurant options in Jandia in particular and again not great for veggie/vegan so we were glad we were all inclusive. Taxi prices are reasonable too and start and 3.45 euros.

We absolutely loved our stay, already can't wait to return next March!
Thank you to all at the Sol who made our holiday extra special, don't hesitate to book your holiday here, enjoy- you won't regret it! :D

Wife and I have just returned from a ten day stay at the Sol Fuerteventura Jandia. We generally enjoyed our stay but a few areas could be improved upon.....

We arrived at around 3pm and were checked in quickly by the friendly and professional staff on reception. We stayed in a Junior Suite with Sea and Pool view in Block D. View was fantastic, room standard excellent, and cleaned every day without fail. Couldn't really fault our stay on that side at all.

Pool areas were open from 10am to 6pm, and again were generally very well maintained. One good point was the Hotel's strict policy on not reserving Sunbeds, pretty strictly enforced by the Lifeguard on duty. Also has a Sun Terrace overlooking the nearby beach, with Bali beds available for a charge. Nice sun trap.

Food and drinks were generally pretty good, some days better than others, and the food choice was quite repetitive. Snacks available at the pool bar were replenished fairly regularly. One point to note is that the food temperature was often not piping hot. We always found something to eat, however, just don't expect Michelin Star standards.

Entertainment was on every day. More happening for the younger children, Teenagers will probably be bored here, and Evening entertainment varied from live music to comedy shows. Not really our cup of tea, but better than nothing I guess. Aqua aerobics etc all on show through the day. The animation team did do their best to entertain and involve though.

One point that disappointed was check out. Check out was at 12 midday, when your All Inclusive board finishes, so you get your breakfast included on day of departure, but that's it. You can opt for late checkout until 3pm at a cost, and can also pay extra for Lunch to be included, but drinks end at 12 with no exception. When many guests arrive well after 12 midday on their arrival, would it not hurt to allow guests to keep their All Inclusive until transfer pickup? Didn't ruin our holiday at all, but took the shine off certainly.

Nightlife in Jandia/Morro Jable was too quiet for us. There seem to be quite a few bars and Restaurants that have fallen victim to the CoVid pandemic, which is a tragedy.

Beautiful beaches within a 2 minute walk.

To sum up, beautiful accommodation. Just check you get the right arrival and departure times so that you don't get caught out by the All Inclusive ending.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this lovely hotel. It is well located only a few minutes walk from the beach. The rooms are very spacious and kept spotlessly clean. Loads of storage space and a massive super comfy bed. Large bathroom with an excellent walk-in shower. Also has the added bonus of a free safe.
We stayed in room D217 which has a pool and sea view although we paid extra for that but worth it.
The grounds are lovely and very well maintained.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The entertainment was very good.
Mask wearing in public areas was strictly adhered to and the tables were well spaced and sanitised after each guest which we found reassuring in these days of Covid.
There were only two issues we weren't happy with. The choice of food at breakfast and lunch were very good, especially at lunchtime. However evening meals weren't so good and the temperature of what should have been hot food left a lot to be desired. Sometimes lukewarm and more often than not, stone cold. Very disappointing.
Also it was difficult to get a sunbed unless you are prepared to queue at 10 am when the pool area opens. We noticed that a lot of people reserved a bed but didn't use it until mid afternoon or not at all. We appreciate that there isn't enough space to accommodate beds for every guest but it's unfair that so many beds are reserved and not used when other people could be using them. In fairness, lots of other hotels have this problem too.
Apart from these issues, we would have given a rating of 5. However, we love the Morro Jable area and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

stayed here 20-27 , firstly please be aware , the photos you see around pool are not where you’ll be staying unless you book pool/sea view , we were charged 175€ to upgrade to one of these rooms on arrival. rooms nice and modern , no complaints at all.. lots of uphill walking to get to this area from main reception (so not recommended for elderly disabled or those with mobility issues) hotel reception and grounds were clean.. my main issues were food and entertainment .. food served during day at pool snack bar , was rarely hot or even warm, and generally poor quality slop, restaurant food , so starting with breakfast , consisted of (hot wise) a poor example of bacon (basically strips of fat) badly cooked fried eggs , hot dog sausages in water and beans , lunch was , on occasions some good options , however , anything cooked was always very dry and bland , completely devoid of any flavour .. now to evening meal , always never anything appetising , our only option was to pick at bits in order to fill ourselves , basically , the food was never enjoyable.. moving on to drinks , all inclusive package included 1 type of beer (i forget the name) normally always flat , juices etc from the machines , ie pineapple / tropical / apple not pure . was diluted , and water was only available from a machine , if we wanted water for room we had to purchase it in small cans at a cost of 2 euros each. also we found energy drinks to go with vodka were chargeable also. overall a very basic minimal all inclusive package. we put up with the food situation for 3 nights , in the end , were left with little choice (in order to enjoy our food) to eat out. next issue was entertainment , there was entertainment most nights , however consisted once of a live singer (at minimal volume) the rest was a dj, playing songs again at minimal volume. the entertainment finished at 9pm each evening and started around 7pm. the all inclusive package ended at 11pm. as stated above very happy with rooms . cleaned daily , modern and fresh and a good view over pool and sea (chargeable at €25 per night on top of standard junior suite) if you opt for junior suite you will not see the pool or sea and be some walking distance from pool. i would stay again, however, on a self catering basis, furthermore, the hotel claim they are 4 stars , i would (having lots of hotel experience) put it as a three star at best.

We have just returned from here and overall not a bad holiday.
The hotel is very clean and also the rooms and all areas.
The staff n the main are very friendly. You will get the assumption that you are German as I think this is the main clientele.
The rooms are large well furnished and with good storage. No tea or coffee making facilities though and I did not realise this until we got there.
There are strict rules about when you can dine and I found this frustrating.
All food is only luke warm even if you go in straight away.
We ate out a fair amount because of this and the fact that we like to linger a while 0ver a meal and this was not possible.
At 12 oclock on the day of your checkout you cannot get anything a drink or anything to eat. I have never known this before at any hotel I have stayed in.
Most of the guests seem to like the beach and this is just as well as there are nowhere near enough sun beds. they have large Bali beds that they charge 50 euros for a day with a bottle of fizz from the bar and fruit that is in the all inclusive anyway. They could remove these and get in more sunbeds as they are not used I only so one being used the whole time we were there.
The pool does not open until 10 by this time there is a long queue and a scramble for beds. Some were reserved all day by selfish people who did not come back to them until late afternoon. There should be a system for dealing with this as they employ lifeguards.
If you have mobility difficulties this hotel may not be the best are there are lots of steps and ramps to negotiate. In fact the resort is hilly.
There were quite a lot of children here that i was not expecting as it was not yet half term but may have been in Germany I don't know.
On the first night we were awoken at 2.45 by very loud music and a party next door. I informed reception and it was dealt with very quickly by security.

We stayed in the SOL in late February 2022, 11 nights.
The hotel was spotlessly clean, pool area was recently renovated and to a high standard. Our room was spacious and clean, we had a sea view and were at the very top of the hotel, lots of lifts and walkways but the hotel is on the side of the hill, so if you are of reduced mobility you will need to ask for a room near the front of the hotel.
The location is excellent, just a few hundred metres from the beach, also similar distance to the shops, some good duty free shops and bars, all very nice.
The pool was cold in February, the bar at the pool serves a late breakfast from 10am-12 then moves onto lunch, all very nice and clean. There are plenty of pool beds, they do not open the pool area before 10am, they have it roped off and only allow people pool side after 10am, so no 7am dash to reserve sun beds, really liked this as made a change from towels being on beds until someone arrives at lunchtime. The life guard was very good, older than the usual life guard but he interacted with people at the pool and explained the rules, nice guy.
Restaurant is nice if open plan, you arrange your breakfast and dinner sittings at check in, you can change this after at reception. Food selection was OK, not massive and not alternative other than the main restaurant. The town is not far away with huge selection of local restaurants if you want a change.
Overall we were very happy with this hotel.
Transfer time by bus was 90 minutes.

The hotel itself lovely, very clean and tidy and staff always on hand to Help. We had a suite & was happy with this, good size rooms etc the all inclusive bracket we was given cleverly unlocked our door which was good and so much better than having to
Remember a room card! Food in the main restaurant was very poor all very repetitive and mainly fish based. Kids struggled for food,
But I as saved by the fail safe pasta and cheese! I tried most things but towards for
The end of the week even I struggled. Pool far to Small for the amount of
Guests staying there, and if your not outside queuing By 930 for the pool which opens at 10 you had no Chance of Getting A sunbed. Once round the pool The lifeguard is very on it and there are NO balls allowed NO inflatables it’s swimming only! Which I get but the kids Want to Play. Mine were bored towards the end As there is only so Much swimming/sunbathing you can do. Everyone loves a lilo or a game of catch in The water!
The beach is close by just a short 3/4 min walk away where can hire sun beds etc and has facilities to
Clean feet etc.
very windy at times so bring towel pegs!!!!
Would I stay here again? No I don’t think I would this hotel isn’t for me.

The hotel itself is lovely, clean and modern. Marina on reception was most helpful with assisting is to our rooms with cases as it's a bit of a hike and some stairs so just be careful.
Beach is very short walk and is lovely
Staff are nice and helpful
The food would have been ok accept it was always cold !
The entertainment is not much and finishes really early so early to bed most nights.
There is no kettle in room but was assured you can access the tea or coffee in the dining room anytime and then was told off when we used the coffee machine out of dining room hours ?
No iron in room and it's very difficult to borrow one every time you ring they say try again tomorrow as all out or say they will send one up to room and it never arrives.
You cannot do money exchange at reception and we were advised to try the banks none of which will change money so just make sure you take enough Euros if you want to have a shop ( or visit the lovely Chinese restaurant up the road)
All in all its lovely for a nice quiet break if they

•ensure food is always hot
•have coffee making facilities in room
•provide iron in room
•extend the all inclusive bar to midnight atleast and provide entertainment up until the same time
•money exchange at reception
•room service

Then this would make a huge difference and reflect the star rating and would attract a second visit
Hope this is fair and helpful

We went into this holiday with an open mind after reading some of the reviews. My main concern was the cold food reviews which I can confirm are absolutely right. The only let down I have is this matter and it really needs to be addressed. People do not want to eat cold food, but it wasn’t just one thing it was everything. I have never experienced an all inclusive hotel with such poor option food choice and poor quality to say this is a 4 star hotel.

However, for the value of money and what we paid for an all inclusive holiday there were so many positives such as the hotel been kept extremely clean, love the refurbished decor and the spaciousness however my only criticism is that both bars should be open through the day. Only the pool bar was open and then in the evening the lobby bar however, again considering this is a 4* hotel both bars should remain open to host for everyone. Great selection of drinks and certainly generous on serving sizes.

I really liked that the pool area opened at 10am so that people cannot reserve sun beds as this is always a real pain when going on holiday. We never struggled to get a sun bed at any time of the day. Also the pool bar food was changed often and a nice selection of burgers, chips, olives, cheese, meats and desserts and in addition ice cream.

The main lobby bar at night was crammed and lots of queuing for the bar which goes back to my point of having both bars open and even doing some entertainment around the pool on an evening. Some of the entertainment was lovely such as a jazz artist and a female singer who sang some classics.

When we walked out of the hotel and turned left we were not impressed with the area as looks very run down. However, on the next day turned right and walked down to the beach. If you keep walking right you will find a small town with some little hidden gem restaurants and nice bars overlooking probably the best beach I have ever seen. What I liked about this area was the fact it was never overly busy and was just a nice chilled atmosphere.

Overall we had a very wholesome holiday and made the most of it regardless of the food, we ate out most nights due to this which was disappointing however was a nice experience to see what was in the area and very cheap food and drinks.

My only last criticism is that some staff were very straight faced and moody and didn’t really look like they wanted to be there which was a real shock. However there were equally some nice smiley faces.

I would go here again based on the value for money and just eat out in the Morro Jable area. Thank you for our time overall and for our first special holiday following the pandemic.

We stayed for the week 10th -17th Dec 2022 on a half board package. The hotel is very centrally located, one street away from the beach and town with a supermarket 100 yds away. Our room was a third floor Xtra Double Suite with a front facing balcony, a great sea view and Tv provided. The hotel is very modern, light, airy and spacious and our room was the same. A cooler, back facing sitting room with a bed settee, fridge and Tv was a nice change when the sun was hot. It was cleaned thoroughly every day by a delightful, cheery Canadian lady who changed the sheets and towels regularly. Bath robes, flip flops and beach towels are provided as well as coffee making facilities and a well stocked fridge with soft drinks on arrival. A very comfortable bed plus the shower was modern, hot and fast.
Food was buffet style - plenty in quantity and variety for all tastes. A drinks package of €3.50 per person per night was offered for unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks etc at dinner which we felt was good value.
The pool area was power washed every morning including all sun beds and furniture, in fact the whole hotel and outdoor areas were spotless.
The staff were all so friendly, helpful and hard working, nothing too much trouble for them and assisted not so able guests willingly.
All in all, we had a great holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending the Sol hotel to others.
