Poor show for the first time ever. Been here 30+ times over many years. Could it be new management? Asked for mother in law to be on ground floor and completely ignored, she literally cannot climb stairs and given a room up steep stairs and to do at bath to climb in. That’s not the main issue as we taken over with cockroaches in our room and even though we complained today nothing done. We’d assumed they would clean as per usual daily but nothing. Sad as out favourite for many’s years.

We've stayed at PS3 a number of times and had a great time as usual this year. There are a few things to be aware of before staying here, to allow you you manage your expectations. These are self catering apartments, so you're paying for the location and room only - there is no entertainment, which some people seem surprised by. Although this place would be even better with more child friendly facilities, our child is happy playing in the kids pool all day making new friends. If your child prefers animation teams, mini disco, kids club etc then this isn't the place for you. If you're happy to explore the area then PS3 is the perfect base. There is plenty going on around the hotel in the evening. Princess Di's bar is particularly child friendly with great entertainment for adults too. Soul Brothers not to be missed! You can use the mini disco at nearby hotels such as La Siesta and pay for drinks on your card. All of the Safari Centre restaurants over the road are great, although on the pricey side. In addition to the well known places for family days out such as Siam Park, Aqualand and Monkey Park, I'd recommend Kids Funland at Pasarela Centre a short taxi ride away, and Vivo Mini Golf near Veronica's which we much prefer to the golf over the road from PS3. Download the ABC Tenerife App for full details of entertainment across the island, the reason I much prefer staying at PS3 rather than all inclusive hotels is we get out and see so much more of Tenerife. This app allows us to plan our evenings so we're not aimlessly wandering looking for entertainment. Venture Group app is also a must for booking nearby popular restaurants such as Dedos, Bianco, Empire and Imperial Tai Pan. There are plenty of pools, including kids and adults only areas. All pools except the childrens are salt water, this is made clear by most tour operators but still seems to disappoint some. Inflatables can be used in one half of the main pool. There is no music around the pool, bring your earphones to play your own when sunbathing. If travelling during the school holidays you have no chance of a sunbed if you want a lie in. Unfortunately you do need to get up early to guarantee a bed. There are plenty of beds, but there are so many guests that they simply can't fit enough for everyone. The beach is right out the back if you don't manage to get a bed, and rooms with a bigger terrace or garden do have sunbeds in them. We've previously visited in term time and there were no issues finding a sunbed at any time of day. The rooms have been steadily refurbished over the last few years, we've not been lucky enough to have stayed in one yet but the older rooms are sufficient if you're prepared to overlook their dated appearance. Kitchen very well stocked with everything you need to cook. I find the beds too hard (singles and sofa beds only, no doubles available), but have seen other guests say reception will help with a mattress topper if required. Bathrooms definitely overdue a makeover but serves it's purpose. Most rooms have a hairdryer, no iron but can be hired at reception. So many reviews seem surprised by the dated rooms but there are plenty of images on here and elsewhere online as examples making it clear they're not 5* standard. If you encounter any issues, such as something broken or not up to standard then do inform reception and it will be quickly sorted or you'll be moved. Every time we stay here we email 3 weeks prior stating our room preferences and requirements.. unfortunately it's usually futile as we're placed in a room far removed from what we request every time (usually overlooking the road above the restaurants which isn't suitable with a young child or guests with mobility issues). Although inconvenient, we are always promptly offered a more suitable room after informing reception of our dissatisfaction, so don't think you have to stay where you're initially offered. Every year I see people complaining on Facebook groups and forums, but they've rarely raised the issue with reception, who usually try their best to address any issues. That being said, it would save a lot of hassle if guest requests were fulfilled prior to arrival. The poolside bar and restaurants have been refurbished in the last few years and they look beautiful, and the food is lovely. We find all of the staff in them super friendly, particularly the gentleman serving and assisting at the tables outside who offers service with a smile year after year. Service can be slow when ordering poolside snacks such as toasties and pizzas, so patience is required! Prices are on the higher side, if you're on a budget then bring a cooler bag and stock up at the shop, cook in your room or stroll along the beach for cheaper food and drinks. There is no longer open access between PS3 & PS4, as there always was before Covid hit. This is a real shame as it was one of the things we enjoyed - PS4 for chilled out days and PS3 for days by the kids pool. It also means that friends and family allocated different buildings can't spend the day together anymore, but you could ask to be moved if it was a problem. Couples in particular may prefer to be situated in PS4 for a more relaxing stay, it would certainly free up bed space on PS3 if they were allowed to wander over as there is usually sunbeds available over the road. The grounds of the complex are always immaculate, really beautiful surroundings thanks to the hard working staff. Rooms are cleaned 6 days a week, cleaners happy to just provide clean towels of you don't want disturbing. Although the lack of organised entertainment isn't an issue for us, it is a huge shame that some of the family friendly facilities have been removed over the last few years at both PS3 and 4, eg. Pool tables and air hockey, and little toy machines and jump on rides for the kids. These small things made a real difference in terms of breaking the day up for younger guests, after all it is their holiday to enjoy just as much as the adults. It would be a shame for management to lose sight of that whilst working to update the aesthetic appearance of the complex. Guests of all ages are important, if you are going to implement adult only areas then also upgrade your child friendly areas too. I don't understand why these facilities and equipment have been removed, it's been really detrimental to family enjoyment and is so disappointing for the little ones when they return each year to find something else has been taken away. To summarise, Parque Santiago 3 is the perfect base for exploring the area. You pay a higher price than some other self catering apartments not because it's 5*, but because it's in a prime location with the Golden Mile out the front and beach out the back. If you are looking for a chilled holiday in beautiful grounds, a great kids pool, and want to get out and experience all of the bars, restaurants and attractions Tenerife has to offer then this is the perfect place. If you want luxury rooms, a lively pool scene and to be entertained within the hotel day and night, this isn't the place for you.…

Very disappointed for 1 . When I booked with jet 2 on the phone because of the reviews on Santiago 3 . I specifically said . I Don’t want to be in 3 I want to be in Santiago 4 as it’s more modern . Then I said I want pool view . And payed for a room with upstairs and down as we had kids and 8 cases of luggage so needed the room. First of all on arrival at 3pm in the afternoon after 13 Long hours from leaving our house at 3am at night we was told . Sorry there are no rooms ready Then no you can’t go in Santiago 4 that’s only for loyal customers that re book or if you sign up direct not for jet 2 customers So after waiting another hour and half We finally got all I could call was a squat . Very out of date tiny corner room . Not one bit what we booked More like it was from the 1960s . Tiles broke roof fans squeezing absolute disgrace of a room No upstairs just a tiny corner room Fuming with this I went to see reception to be told no rooms there full I was on the phone to jet 2 straight away but not in till the next day . So couldn’t unpack and had to swelter in there till the next morning as with no sleep as no air con and the old roof fans squeaking what a joke . Next day jet 2 had to argue with the new managers because they said no other rooms till Saturday and we was now on Tuesday . After an hour again they agreed another night they n the squat room as we described it and we can move . Only to be moved to a bigger room with an upstairs that was just as out dated as the other . Windows rotting the lot . Totally again far far from what yo beautiful picture described. I won’t be going back here spoilt our holiday and a disgrace to even lower your standards saying no 4 is for other loyal customers . Jet 2 should state this . So if your going here for the first time beware I’d stay elsewhere…

This is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. That may sound dramatic, but it really is. We arrived here this afternoon, perfect location as we love the area and know it well, but I wish we had booked to stay elsewhere. Firstly, on entering the room, it didn’t appear to have been cleaned and the smell in one of the bedrooms made us feel sick. Imagine a room full of dirty sweaty clothing, that had been festering there for years, that’s what the room smells like. My children took their shoes off and after a tour of the apartment, their white socks were black! We unpacked, sprayed around the room but the smell was still making us all feel sick. I called reception who advised they would send someone to the room. Hours went by and I called reception again, for the person on reception to say he didn’t know what I was talking about. My children then went to reception to explain, they were told someone would be coming up to the room ‘now’ and now it’s nearly 11pm and still no one bothered to come to the room. Appalling customer service! They advised earlier that the room had been cleaned but it really hasn’t, everywhere is so unclean and dirty, including the bathroom that smells of urine and a smelly sofa that makes me want to gag. The whole place is so outdated and in a dire state. The single beds are terribly uncomfortable, I’m in one now and every time I move, the bed moves across the floor. The only positive is that we have only booked to stay for 3 nights, thank god it’s not any longer.…

We have just returned from a 10 night stay in parque santiogo 3 and I can't recommend the hotel highly enough. We travelled as a family with 1 x 6 year old and 3 year old twins. We were allocated room 1099 which was stunning! It was spotless and had everything we needed in there and more. We even had lots of english channels on the tv in the room (BBC, ITV, channels 4 & 5, CBBC and even Sky Sports one!), so handy to keep the little ones entertained when in the room. The ceiling fans kept the room nice and cool even though the weather was very hot outside. We even had a table & chairs and two sun loungers outside the patio doors. The clothes driers on the wall were fab and got used all the time. The beach was just outside our room and we also had easy access to all the hotel facilities. We all enjoyed watching the boats go past into the harbour in Los Cristianos. There were plenty of beds by the pools and the children loved the splash park and playground facilities. The larger pools were also fantastic as they had gradual steps in and out (which was great for the little ones to have a bit of independence when getting in and out of the pool). There is also a cordoned off over 18 section where you can get a bit of peace from the busier sections around the pool. To be honest, we didn't even notice there wasn't any music by the pool as we were kept busy with family life around the pool. The staff were all superb and a credit to the hotel - everyone we saw was friendly, even though they were all very busy. We ate in the onsite cafes / restaurants many times and found the food to be not hte cheapest in the locality but nevertheless it was all lovely. I understand that not every hotel suits every person, but for us and our family, the parque santiago 3 was just perfect. We are already looking to return September 24 :) Thank you for such a fab time! …

HORRIFING ! 30 degrees and no air conditioning !!!!!! What is wrong with this people ? Everything is old, only some fans in the ceiling that does nothing , terrible service when we called to ask for a baby bed that was not provided anyway! We are literally soaking in 30° in our room . Nobody can sleep ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!!

Our holiday was spoiled by the lack of helpfulness of the reception staff. Our apartment was fine in itself, as were the pools and other facilities. However, they were given advance warning of my wife's immobility and still saw fit to put us on the top floor with stairs to climb. Reception staff were extremely unhelpful in finding us a ground floor apartment and never apologised for the difficulties they had caused. Not everyone has a disability, but you may have other problems. Be forewarned - the staff here cannot be bothered to sort them out!!

Stayed here many times before and always been really pleased. This time we booked a studio via Jet 2 as we had no kids, the studio had not been updated since the complex was built. The location was right on a walkway which meant we were disturbed every morning by screaming children. One morning we had workmen banging pipes at 9am which is ridiculous when you want a relaxing holiday. Reported this to reception who did nothing as it happened again 2 days later. Jet 2 advertise updated modern rooms on the website and then Parque Santiago allocate run down old rooms which haven’t been touched since the complex was opened, this is not acceptable for the prices that people are paying. Our patio doors had mounds of wood sawdust each morning as they were clearly infected with woodworm. They had to be lifted to lock them and the handle was hanging off. The pool area was ridiculously busy, the sunbed situation was dire which I’ve never experienced before at Parque Santiago. Very few pool attendants and no security at all visible around the pool, hence the adults only area and jacuzzi was constantly full of children. Reserving of sun beds was at its peak mainly by rough English families. The heated pool was dirty, toilets around the pool were smelly and dirty something that I’ve not experienced before. We are returning in February and if standards haven’t improved we will book elsewhere after that. The management need to address the points above to improve standards. Jet 2 should not sell the complex as Parque Santiago III and IV as given the choice I’d have opted for IV which appeared a lot more peaceful around the pool area.…

First the positive, fantastic location, right in the heart of Las Americas, the refurbished apartments look fantastic. The negatives. Salt water pools, absolutely horrid for enjoying a swim, the slightest drop in your mouth has you gagging and if splashed in your eyes, your reaching for something to cleanse with. The franchised restaurants on site have shockingly poor service, we we’re constantly ignored by disinterested staff who didn’t want to be there, waited an hour for food that never arrived so after the third try at one of these (Nautico and the beach front one) gave up and ate off site. The “ classic” apartments are an abomination, these shouldn’t be rented out, they look 50 years out of date, in none of the adverts on jet 2 site or indeed in the complexes own site are these advertised, we refused the room and were “upgraded” to a refurbished apartment which was in fact what we had booked as was exactly what was shown on booking site, also in this day and age why the rooms don’t have air con is baffling, luckily in October the ceiling fan and thru draft from balcony suffice. Check in staff were not interested, told us to return in 15 minutes, we left it an hour as went for something to eat to be told by another equally uninterested staff member room still wasn’t ready, by this time it was after 5pm and we were then given and refused the “classic” mentioned above which you have to lug cases up, the final floor to! Will never stay here again, back to Marylanza we go next year. Shame as there is real potential here and the location is great but the above let it down.…
