The hotel is acceptable 4* it is not a 3 * at best We stayed over new year for 9 nights and like others have written the food mediocre at best except NYE dinner and I was even asked if I thought it was nice my reply was I expect this level of food and service every night. The pool area unsafe and never cleaned. 1 pool so cold the other just OK
The rooms were cleaned but having had the better rooms they could just do with that little bit more attention to make them the so called upgraded room suites as they were what i would expect at a 3* or basic 4* hotel so god knows how the so called lesser rooms looked.
Reception staff some helpful however many have poor customer skills to none at all.
The Spa which we had free use of having paid for the upgraded rooms was better looked after and the staff by far the best when it became to customer service a plus for Hotel
The 1 bar open day time with 1 guy serving a complete joke with at times queueing far to long and no one cleans up around this area it looks a mess after such a short time.

Entertainment the 1 time we did sit in was acceptable and the animation staff do try hard so a plus for them also.

The bed chairs around the pools and comfy big sunbeds are a plus as you don't have to get up early for the mad rush nothing goes out until 9-30 thats how things should be run so another plus for the hotel
The other lets downs being there no fridge unless you pay for the hotels room bar which is not good or worth the money, you have to pay for a safe, pay for pool towels, thankfully having the upgraded rooms you get robes and shall we say slippers and a complementary poor bottle of wine. All things I would expect with a 4 star hotel.
Had it not been for the plus points then we would of scored this hotel very low. Somethings don't need sorting but management needs changing as they ignore the same constant moans I witness everyday whilst there. This was a last minute booking for us 2 adults and a child half board but at the cost of a good 5* I was expecting much better
I hope they take notice of the reviews as that better attention would be positive and I am sure if all had to pay £35 more to have these extra facilities a clean safe and usable pool then it would more than cover the cost of going that little bit extra.

We visited here for 10nights over New Years December 19/20 This our first visit to La Siesta and would definitely come come.

Hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy. The smell of bleach throughout is very insuring. Bedrooms are cleaned regularly and maids are kind & very helpful witch is surprising due to other experiences.

The food at breakfast lunch and dinner was fine, nothing to shout about but as expected. Plenty to choose from each day and if you open your mind you can really put together a tasty meal!

We did eat out a few times and the the variety of bars & restaurants on the door step of the hotel is very good. Quite cheap in fairness and good grub.

We where all inclusive throughout our stay, and I felt as if the bar staff kinda looked down upon us thinking we where getting food & drink ‘free’!! Maybe they need explaining that all inclusive actually means you pay for your food & drink up front and it’s included in your holiday costs. £4,300.00 for 10nights 2adults & 2childern is certainly not a free holiday.

Cocktails are premade in jugs but if your not all inc. they will make them up fresh 🤨 unfair I thought!

Beach is a 2-5min walk away although there is a much better family friendly beach about 7-10mins walk on further up the strip (Playa Del Troya)

The entertainment and kids mini disco each evening is fun.

The two entertainers are brilliant and have a lot of time for all ages of hotel guests.

The only real issue I found with the hotel is around the kids pool area. The natural stone tiles I assume are to be rough faced to prevent slipping. Unfortunately a lot of these tiles are now very smooth and supper slippy!!!
We had sat around the kids pool each day and I’ve lost count to how many actually slipped and hurt themselves including adults. On our last day (day 10) I counted 9 young children & 4 adults. One of the adults had an infant in her hands and landed on top of him.
I stressed to reception a numerous of times about this dangerous issue and was told the engineer will be informed, although nothing actually was done about it! Maybe they will wait until a serious fall happens when some splits themselves open and needs serious medical attention!
Some rubber non slip mats laid around the stone tiles would work wonders, and if they had been ordered on my first complaint of this then over 40-50 slips & falls would have been avoided!!

Apart from that we had a lovely enjoyable family break away, can’t wait to do it all over again in June although not here. But we would come back here just not on an All inc. basis.

This was a nice clean hotel with pleasant staff. Meals were pretty good considering there was only the one buffet restaurant and menu varied each evening. We were on half board and each day you can take either a lunch or a dinner which we found was a great idea.
In our opinion the main problem was that there was a lack of information regarding the various facilities in the hotel and often the information that actually was available was incorrect. For instance on our third day we were told by a fellow guest that there was an adults-only sun terrace on the roof, which was beautiful, but the hotel seemed to want to keep this a secret. Certainly there were tv screens around the public areas which gave out information but this was often incorrect. For instance on Tuesday 7th January the screen gave the date as Monday 1st January (actually the 1st January was a Wednesday not a Monday)! Another screen indicated that the bar was open daily from 11am until late but in actual fact the bar didn't open until 6pm so during the day the only place to get a drink was at the little kiosk by the pool. Other points to note is that it costs 25 euros to unlock your mini-bar which has a variety of drinks inside, but the money in not refundable as you are actually purchasing the contents of the mini-bar when you pay your 25 euros. I'd never come across this arrangement before. Hire of pool towels costs 50 cents per day and you must leave a deposit of 15 euros per towel at reception and again we found this out from another guest. We just popped into a shop and bought a towel for under 4 euros. Room safe cost us 20 euros for eight days.
Sounds like I'm moaning but I'm not really. They just need to get their act together a bit. Evening entertainment was pretty good. All in all an ok holiday and hotel seems to suit mainly families with young children and older people. Not much sun either, pretty cloudy every day.

We recently stayed for a week's full board at La Siesta , which is an excellent location for it's 5 minutes walk to the beach , 6 minutes to the dancing fountains opposite The hard rock cafe where's there's loads of nice restaurants and bars to eat an drink . we stayed full board so only ate out a couple of times as after a few nights the foods is a bit repetitive as it always seems to get even with 4* accommodation and there wasn't much choice for the kids if i'm being honest but that's just a minor point as our kids are terribly fussy !! . There's plenty to do through the day and the entertainment staff worked their socks off with the kids both day and night . Hotel staff were all polite and I even managed to change rooms on the 1st day as the room wasn't suitable and they found me an alternative room on the ground floor ( 007 ) and then kept insist on calling me MR Bond for the duration of my stay !! Rooms were cleaned daily and always had fresh towels , to upgrade to all inclusive was around 48 euros per day for a family of 4 which i didn't think was too unreasonable , safe was 2.5 euros per day and minibar 25 euros for the week but came with 12 or 14 free bottles of water, coke , beers , sprite , tonic water , etc
all in all , a great week especially if you have young children up to say 14 years old and would definitely return providing the prices don't increase by too much next year !! .

Positives for this hotel are the location, great for shops and local bars. The staff work really hard and are constantly cleaning, reception and dining room staff very polite. Everything was put on your room tab, which could be settled at any point of your holiday. Door keycards always worked, didn’t have any problem with them at all. Pool towels available, you just pay a 15 euro refundable deposit at reception and then get your towels from the lifeguard at the pool. Sun beds were plentiful. Rooms cleaned daily to a high standard, beds were comfortable enough. Hotel was very quiet on a night.
Negatives, Tui states that this hotel had been refurbished, well that obviously didn’t include the rooms which were very dated. Small cupboard with limited hanging space. We could get the fridge for free to store medication in but you had to show proof of the medication that needed storing otherwise 25 euros to pay. The food.... not brilliant, breakfast was limited, no English sausage or bacon so be warned. No fresh omelettes, and everything was dripping in oil. The usual toaster machines, put them through once, hardly toasted, put them through twice and they come out cremated. Bowls always in a location far away from the cereal and fruit, tables not always set ready, and always a queue at the coffee machines. Evening meal was ok, but sometimes there was a lack of veg to accompany a main meal. Desserts very limited and repetitive. Meat always cooked nicely. Restaurant staff very polite. Condiments spread all over, never where you would expect them to be. Food is edible but limited choice.
Not really a 4 star, but still enjoyed our stay

Four adults had a very enjoyable week at La Siesta. We loved the pool area and the food was good - only had breakfast ,as we like to eat out at the many restaurants around.
The things we found irritating were the extra costs for towels, the safe and the fridge ( we do not want to have to buy contents that we would not use) . Also most 4 star hotels we have stayed in include tea and coffee making facilities which were sadly lacking. We all agreed that for an extra 50 Euros on the accommodation price, they could be included. We refused to pay the extras.
There is an old hair drier in the bathroom which was useless and overheated after 5 minutes within the handle, so was impossible to use. I reported this at reception but the female staff member seemed unconcerned and nothing was done. ( Room 336). I used our friends drier in another room which was inconvenient.
Not sure if we would stay again, a shame as with above facilities improved, it would be great.

Another tui delight….after booking the best hotel Tenerife and being told they have changed us to this shambles.

Very very aggressive waiting staff in the restaurant

I forgot to put my mask back on after eating….and was told that if I wished to stay in this hotel I needed to wear mask in a very aggressive way and then waved and smiled as we left restaurant…while the whole time this waiter is putting out knives and forks down with bear hands and then collecting plates and then never once saw them use hand sanitizer???but I mite breath on him

Masks are also needed in outside spaces by the pool and you also have to scan your room key everytime you want a drink.

Food is dreadful absolutely dreadful lunch was hake and not a lot more
Breakfast is terrible we have eaten out now for last few days.

I have been waiting for Reception to arrange my fridge in your room for over 4hours now and you also need to pay for a fridge….how can you expect water to be cold without a fridge??

Have stayed in bitacora and hotel best and they are by far the best hotels

We travel twice last year during the pandemic and none of this rubbish.

Hotel balcony lights switch off at 12pm and you can’t get them back on again it’s the whole hotel

So if reading a book on the balcony after 12 you can’t.

Please please don’t waste your hard earned money on this rubbish
They are taking peoples money for nothing

No cocktails by the pool bar???

The family we booked with are also in room 366 and we’re 188 come on hotel at least try and put us closer together

There room is also very tacking and in need of a massive refit

No floats, rings or lilos in the pool aswel

For £2700 for a family of four for a week is disgusting

Our stay is due to end today and unfortunately we are more than ready to leave La Siesta. We love Tenerife and the location of the hotel is perfect for us. The animation team are outstanding, friendly and great with children especially at the mini disco. It’s a pity their enthusiasm isn’t filtered out by other staff on particular pool bar and reception who we found to be ignorant, I know that’s a strong word to use but i feel appropriate.

We paid for a pool view room- yes our room was facing the pool but you could only see trees, not a single part of the pool could be seen. We also paid to bring our 2 children and upgraded to a ‘better’ room but the room was clearly okay only for 2 people but no more. Kids in sofa beds with an uncomfortable few inch mattress. Less than a foot gap to get into the room due to the sofa beds being squeezed into a space. Everyone of us whacked our legs at some point during the week trying to get past. Our room was clean on the surface but bedding and floors were not cleaned or changed regularly. The lobby, bar and restaurant areas were very clean however the pool area was literally filthy. The loungers, tables and floor was in desperate need of a deep clean as it looks like they’ve not been cleaned in years.

We have eaten out every evening other than the gala night. We did go to the restaurant but the quality of offer was questionable with grey chicken and trays of food burnt at one side and undercooked at the other. We left to go to the many local restaurants where we had lovely meals. There was no tables set for 4, only 2 or 6 so you would have to find a waiter to set the table for you even though there were many families of 4. The waiters would do this for you but they didn’t seem to happy about it, we felt by asking for anything we were an inconvenience and this included drinks.

There were many other things I could mention but I know it’s sounding like a rant. Save your money and go to another hotel, many people we spoke to were going next door to the Bitacora hotel which seems to be better quality.

Sorry La Siesta for this review but our experience was significantly impacted by these issues. We were not the only ones to feel like this either.

Spent one week at this hotel, paid extra for a pool view room, well worth it, enabled us to use spa for 2 hours per day.
Room had nice touches, Bath Robes, Slippers, razor, toothbrush and paste.
Room very spacious with two settees, bathroom also large, with steam free mirror, very handy, probably would have preferred walk in shower, but all rooms have bath with shower over, so no problem.
TV had all main English channels, so useful if we had early night .
Rooms very quiet, no noise , so good nights sleep all round
On to Restaurant, food plentiful, and variety good, plenty of seating, no complaints.
Pool area had plenty of beds, unusually no need for anyone to grab them, nice bar area, any purchase made throughout Hotel just use Room card key, and pay at end of stay.
Have used Hotel Palmeras twice before down the road, this one is now my favourite, and would definetly use again, for a 4 star Hotel very good.

Firstly on arrival the receptionist on check in was very friendly and polite and gave us plenty of information about the Hotels facilities. You have an option of paying a 30 euro deposit for pool towels {returned when checking out} which you can change everyday at the pool. We also paid for the mini bar, 25 euros, coz it gave us access to the fridge which contained beers, water, fizzy and still juices, and crisps. We booked a club room facing the pool and it was spotless, cleaned everyday by the hard working staff. Had no issues with the room at all. Had no problem getting sunbeds at the poolside, plenty of them and also with having a large pool area had no issues with overcrowding. The pool area was also thoroughly cleaned by the staff every morning, dodging the early risers putting their towels out. The animation team tried their best but with very few Kids in the hotel the kids club didn't really take off but the few that participated looked to be having fun, for the adults the aqua aerobics was certainly popular. Having been to Tenerife many times, we always like to eat out at the local restaurants so as usual we only book for bed & breakfast.
The choice for breakfast is very similar to what your offered at most Hotels, it was plentiful and the hot plate food was hot. If your only complaint is that it was hotdog sausages, not pork or beef, then i think your been very picky as the option to have cereal, fruit, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, crepes, plenty of choices of jams/marmalades. donoughts and a chocolate fountain. Also had snacks at the poolside bar which are charged to your room and paid when checking out so not a bad idea to keep your receipts to give you an idea of how much it will be.
This is our 1st time at this hotel, have stayed in others in Las Americas, and would certainly consider returning, its spotlessly clean, location is excellent for all local amenities and staff couldn't do enough for you.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the great weather was a bonus
