Sunprime Coral Suites & Spa is an adults-only hotel in Playa de las Américas on Tenerife's southwestern coast in Spain. From the hotel, it's a short walk to a sandy beach, where you'll also find cafés, shops and restaurants lining the waterfront. Playa de las Américas itself is a vibrant Canary Island destination, with plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants. The hotel is set in gardens and looks out towards the sea. It's typically Scandinavian in style, with a whitewashed exterior. It has an outdoor swimming pool, and two roof terraces where there are plenty of places for you to sit and relax. You can dine al fresco or indoors at the hotel's restaurant, where you'll be able to enjoy themed buffets. There's also a pool bar and a lounge bar serving drinks and snacks. The hotel has a small shop for holiday essentials. During your stay at Sunprime Coral Suites & Spa, you can book a beauty treatment at the spa, which also has a sauna. If you want to go exploring, you could take a day trip to Puerto de la Cruz. The city is known for its dark, volcanic-sand beaches and has museums and a historic old town with shops and a botanical garden.

Booked this hotel as couple for 2 weeks in October. Hotel is officially classed as a 4 star resort, however in our opinion it was nowhere near a 4 star experience. We arrived at the hotel at 12.30 at night after long day of travelling to be met by the hotel in darkness!!! Nobody on reception to greet us. After waiting for around 10 minutes a security guard arrived and booked us in to our room. We were told the reception didn't open until 7.30 in the morning!!! The hotel info.Stated there was a 24 hour reception??? So this is very misleading. The security team at hotel very authoritarian and on a number of occasions guests were told to keep noise down in public areas. These guests weren't being rowdy or offensive. They were just having a laugh and enjoying themselves as one does on holiday. The weather when we were there was very hot but despite this there was no air conditioning in any of the public rooms, this was commented on by a number of guests. The actual bed rooms were clean and comfortable however there were no tea or coffee making Facilities! Location of hotel good. In centre of Las Americas, close to all shops and amenities. We found the staff themselves not particularly helpful. There was no TUI rep on site, and you had to make an appointment to see them. We have previously stayed at some lovely hotels in the Canaries but sadly this hotel did not live up to standards and we would definitely not recommend.

stayed here for a week and absolutely no faults staying here, bedrooms are stunning and clean, beds are so comfy. I was all inclusive and had all 3 meals every day and every single one was amazing. Staff are all so lovely and helpful. Pool area was fabulous. The no reserving beds rule was perfect as no issue with getting beds every day. Will 100% be retuning

Rooms very spacious, clean and modern with good WiFi, usb sockets, air con etc. I liked the gym equipment with good treadmills and even a Concept2 rower!. The sauna, steam room and small indoor pool were excellent value. The negatives… Very expensive pool bar ( €2.50 for a glass of water!) No air con in reception and bar areas. Impossible to keep your room on and the communal showers and baggage setup is terrible! No air con or changing areas. It’s but me off returning to be honest.

I agree with a couple of the other reviews, I can’t quite understand why some are as negative - there were some “issues” for us personally, that if hadn’t happened we would definitely be giving a 5/5 but they are relatively minor. Con’s * No food or drink supplied if you have a late flight, we arrived after they had finished serving food for the evening so we had to pop to a mini market across the road and buy a few things, not a huge deal but we had booked AI. *The Spa, one of the main reasons for booking this hotel in particular was that it had spa facilities, we didn’t mind paying extra for it. Over the 5 days we were there the spa was closed each time we went to use it (within advertised opening hours) -Needs an indoor, air conditioned bar and the restaurant needs more air conditioning, it is was super hot in there. Pro’s -Great location, 5 minute walk to the beach lots of restaurants and bars on your doorstep, a couple of big supermarkets. -Super friendly staff, virtually everyone we met was helpful. - Cleanliness, the hotel was immaculate in all areas and the cleaners were always on top of anything. -Our room was a junior suite and again was great, bed extremely comfortable and had everything in it we would need, a little fridge, microwave and oven top if we weren’t AI it would have been perfect. -Food, best AI food we’ve had. Always found something to eat across breakfast/lunch and dinner which isn’t always true at other hotels we’ve stayed at. The food was hot and plentiful and tasty. -Outside pool terrace is a little sun trap, lots of chairs and right next to the bar so perfect 💃 I would recommend this place, maybe go half board because of the number of restaurants nearby but we really enjoyed our stay.

I’m so surprised at some of the negative reviews on here as my boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks stay here and had the most amazing time! The hotel itself was clean and tidy with modern decor throughout. The room was really spacious with a decent sized bathroom and nice little balcony area. The air con was definitely appreciated too! Our room was tidied daily too so really can’t complain at all! I liked how they provided robes, slippers and beach towels too, very convenient! In terms of noise - there wasn’t any! We went for B&B option as we like to eat out. There are so many amazing bars and restaurants within close proximity so I’d bare this in mind when deciding your board option. The breakfast is what you’d expect from a buffet style - something for everyone and always filled us up for the day! The pool was an okay size but we visited at various times of the day and always managed to get a sun bed. There were people having fun (as you’d hope - you’re on holiday!) but certainly no noise or disruption that would have impacted us. The cocktails were nice too, and they always had a ‘cocktail of the day’ at a discounted rate. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating from the receptionists to the cleaners and the bar staff. The location was excellent and as previously mentioned was within 5 minutes walking distance to nice bars and restaurants (away from the more ‘rowdy’ area!). We also got a taxi to Siam Park one day for only €8 or there is a free bus too down the road. The only feedback I’d give to the hotel is that is some communal areas such as the lounge there is no air conditioning and at times felt unbearably hot! But other than that I cannot pick any faults at all! Would absolutely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if I were to return to Tenerife!

Overall a good stay. I would say this is more of a 3* hotel but has potential. We stayed all inclusive for 5 nights. Positives Can’t fault the staff, they were great, very hard working and always cleaning the place. All inclusive drinks were decent, the usual local spirits and a decent cocktail menu. Self service soft drinks were a good idea. Rooms are lovely and spacious, clean, good pool view. Was never woken up by noise etc. Great location, everything within walking distance. Air con in the rooms was good. The entertainment on a night was nice. Negatives The food isn’t great, always managed to find something to eat (just) but wasn’t of a great standard. Pancakes are hard around the edges at breakfast. Pasta was nice and was heated up by the chef for you, however the pesto pasta was very very oily and the bolognese wasn’t heated up fully (some parts cold). Some very loud groups in/around the pool, which I honestly don’t mind as everyone is here to have a good time, however when they are shouting racially abusive language etc that’s when the line is crossed. I didn’t see this being stopped by staff. No air con in reception/lobby area. Snacks were either left over food from the restaurant or some sandwiches/fruit from a fridge. The sun deck was nice, however a few of the beds were closed off (unsure why) so only one was available. Overall I would return but not all inclusive.

Nice hotel , good rooms with a nice pool view , food was good always plenty of choice . First week was very relaxing and chilled but then a group of lads came , I know we all want to enjoy have fun on our holiday but having to listen to arguments in the restaurant and constant shouting / swearing really let the hotel down by not addressing this with the party's involved. It was mentioned to the bar/restaurant staff but was told we will stop serving them drinks but this didn't happen. So sadly, I won't return to the hotel .

An excellent well run hotel, spotlessly clean. The staff are brilliant, the cleaning staff are also brilliant, constantly cleaning the whole area, not just the rooms. The bar/resturant staff are just amazing, every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is ideally situated near the centre area od Las Americas, ideal for walking injured (like myself). The food was varied with different themed nights. There was never a problem getting something to eat. The only bug bear was the BRITISH people, putting the towels down as soon as the pool area was open, and not getting on the secured sunbeds until late in the day. Infact it was very laughable to see them queuing up prior to the pool area being opened to secure their prized beds. Stange really, because we never had a problem getting a pair of sunbeds around the pool, even after midday etc. Note to Hotel, try removing the towels etc if not being used.

All inclusive: paid £1k each , 4* rating, NOT 4* , 3* AT VERY BEST: arrived as scheduled at 22:00 hrs to find restaurant had closed and no food or snacks available! Guest demographic: cheap 'All-inclusive' , b&b and half-board options...expect to be woken at 3am with doors slamming, and smoke alarms at 4am!!! Guests shouting from balconies, loud 20 somethings. Food ok, breakfast and lunch were fine, but we ate out 3 nights off 6 ; simply because choice was better! One of the MAIN reasons we booked this hotel was its advertised as a non-smoking/non-vaping hotel: the sun deck on 6th floor was not policed, odd person smoking in toilet and people vaping openly. Guests smoking on balconys, their smoke rising up to our balcony. Ground floor toilet smelled of cigarette smoke, seating area outside main entrance full of smokers and ash-trays? NEED TO ENSURE SMOKERS KNOW THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOTEL! STAFF: bar staff a little slow and both bar and restaurant staff definately provided paying guests with a better service than those of us wearing 'all-inclusive' wrist bands! Restaurant tables cleared of plates etc really quickly. Rooms cleaned everyday, but floor wasn't swept once and sheets weren't changed in 7 nights ,merely rotated and turned to look like these were changed! Pool area have a no loungers to be reserved before 9am rule: watching from our balcony observed an employee removing towels and guests walking behind her and replacing them, also depended on which employee was working. The rule was strictly observed when mainly gentleman cleaning the area, other times guests were allowed to sit on beds ( i.e reserve ) as long as they didn't leave them empty before 9am! GYM: basic but ok, kettle bells and light loose weight with multi-gym and rower etc spread across 2 rooms : I've stayed in 5* with worse gyms! Overall disappointing : we haven't been to Tenerife for 20 years , we came last for winter sun, Tenerife and this hotel in September was a mistake for us, we like quiet: it's too busy, too many self-centered guests vaping/smoking, playing music without headphones, watching videos over breakfast, slamming doors!

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. I am going to start with the positives. The location is good. Within a 10 minute walk you can be almost anywhere in Las Americas. There are great cafes and bars on your doorstep. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is good, big shower with decent water pressure and rooms are cleaned daily. The breakfast is ok. Not wonderful, but ok. I’ve not had any of the other food. The negatives here are that the facilities are poor. There is a bar next to the pool, no indoor bar. The pool area is good but sooo quiet. Some music to give some atmosphere would make so much difference. You are unable to smoke anywhere on site, even on the balconies or outside areas. There is a smoking area to the front of the hotel but it’s not cleaned often so be prepared to sit amongst glasses that have been there all day and dirty ashtrays. On reflection, we won’t come back. A few extra touches, some music, a snack bar by the pool, an indoor air conditioned bar, would just make so much difference!
