We stayed at The Lodge in November and absolutely enjoyed every aspect of it! Hazel and Peter were fantastic hosts, bartenders, and cooks. Our stay was warm and extremely comfortable. Hazel also gave us some great suggestions of other areas in Skye we should visit. Following her advice, we had one of our favorite days in Scotland after our stay...

I don't understand reviewers that must know full well that they're going to a little inn situated at the edge of Skye, which is hundreds of years old, and complain that it's dated. What did you expect? For us, it what we expect, and for that matter, we thought it was great. We were very well taken care of by...

With reference to the foregoing negative criticisms, there is nothing wrong with this place that could not be quickly remedied by a good decorator/handyman and some passive ventilation in the bathrooms. Needs much work. Mold and toilet leak in bathroom was supposedly repaired but was not done. The bedding needs updating. The place is dark, dingy and dirty. It is difficult to find. It definitely has potential but did not any maintainance or updating. Would not recommend it to anyone. It was difficult to find .

A lovely old building but sadly in a bad state of repair. The owner Hazel served us breakfast but was not very friendly. The barman was, well, just odd. The young man on reception was very welcoming and helpful, but he was the exception. Food was distinctly lacklustre - suggesting either a complete lack of interest or, more likely looking...

“It does have wifi but because the walls are so thick you need to go down by the hub to use it. A phone signal is a short walk up the hill.”

“Room 5 is right above the bar. You will hear all the noises from down there until they close it up, which wasn't late. But bring earplugs.”
