We booked the Gate Lodge and what a superb location. This has to be one of the most relaxing places to be on Skye. Cosy warm nights in front of the log fire and long 20km walks during the day. Ideal as a couple but can accommodate 4 people. Parking is good, directions from owner are spot on and you...

After an extremely long and tiring journey on our first visit to Skye, the Gate lodge was a welcome sight. Comfortable beds with lovely bedding were exactly what was needed and we immediately felt at home. With an elderly dog, the walks were perfect and the cottage was always warm - we certainly made use of the wood burning stove...

Just left Skye after another stay at Lyndale. The weather has been exceptionally good with flat seas, plenty of sunshine and some stunning sunsets. Our Lyndale cottage has provided an ideal base, both to explore the island and to stay in the immediate vicinity - there is plenty to enjoy on foot from the cottage. The cottages are well equipped...

This is a jewel and a great find in the midst of Skye. Love and thoughfulness had been put into every detail, nothing was lacking, super clean, perfectly placed at the center of Totternish peninsula which is the most beautiful part of the island. Charming rooms and bathrooms, wooden floor and fresh flowers...A cozy and warm place to return after...

We just spent a week at Lyndale cottage and while it's very charming and cosy, I did feel that there was room for improvement. On arrival, we found the cottage unlocked as we'd been told, but it smelt quite musty and was a little chilly. It would have been nice if it had been warm, aired out and generally felt...

We had a lovely experience staying in The Laundry! Linda was a truly wonderful host and showed us genuinely fantastic hospitality. We were unfortunate as our car broke down, but Linda was a true gem and was so helpful and accommodating. The cottage was wonderful - really cosy and finished to a high standard. The location was really relaxing and...

Loved the location - it was very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed watching the birds and baby rabbits in the gardens from the cottage. 2 minute walk to the shore, short drive to Portree and lots of great walks in the north of the island. Has all the facilities you need including wifi. Even though it was July we appreciated the...

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at the Stables cottage, it was sheer bliss. The location is tranquil, the cottage is really well kitted out with lovely local crockery, all mod cons, wood burning stove, and a great 4 poster bed!!! I can't praise it highly enough and hope to return very soon.

We stayed in the Laundry cottage during the last week in August. The cottage was really lovely, complete with friendly chickens and rabbits outside. We were lucky enough to have great weather for the majority of the week, which meant we spent a few evenings sitting outside the cottage basking in the sun! On arrival we were provided with fresh...

We stayed at the Laundry cottage at Lyndale for a week, and my husband and I feel this has been one of the best holidays we've had. The cottage was just lovely, we really enjoyed the touches of whisky and chocolates on arrival. We had a dog with us, and were provided with a "goody bag"- a hamper with dog...
