Our second and long awaited visit to Karen & Colin at idyllic Lochshore House. The very location of Lochshore House is in itself absolutely breathtaking - marvellously positioned to overlook the azure waters of Loch Greshornish, its panoramic views uniquely capture the ethereal qualities and romantic essence of the dramatic skylines and ever changing landscapes for which the magical Isle of Skye is renowned. But this house is so much more than a panoramic delight - a haven of luxurious tranquility and relaxation has been created by hosts Karen and Colin, who exude warmth, kindness and hospitality in abundance from the moment you step over the threshold of their very beautiful home. The rooms are also a delight - very tasteful decor and extremely comfortable furnishings throughout with spacious ensuite facilities ( large, luxurious bath to ease away the effects of a day in the hills) including fluffy towels, dressing gowns, slippers and lovely toiletries - most definitely "a room with a view" ... likewise the breakfast / dining room and upstairs guest sitting room with its panoramic window views where coffee and a book can be enjoyed while relaxing. Breakfast is a marvellous choice of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit and home baked breads plus an extensive choice of hot menu items including pancakes or "The Full Scottish" . I can highly recommend the breakfast Cranachan which is not only so pretty to look at but delicious to eat! All served in a breakfast room with the most stunning views of the loch and surrounding landscapes. Ideally situated for easy access to explore the island attractions and several of Skye's best known restaurants - The Edinbane Lodge (five star fabulous) and The Edinbane Inn (superb) are literally just a few minutes drive away, as is Dunvegan and The Three Chimneys or The LochBay at Stein - only adds to the overall allure of Lochshore House. Portree is just 15 minutes drive away and a slightly longer but not to be missed drive down to Elgol is a must. When the sun shines, the view from Elgol to Camasunary Bay taking in the Cuillin Range and Loch Coruisk is utterly breathtaking - one of the best panoramas in the world. Very (very) sad to leave but already planning our next visit to this wonderful B&B. Staying at Lochshore House is sheer bliss! Wonderful week spent hill walking on our beloved Skye and completely relaxing thereafter at Lochshore House. For tranquility, relaxation, phenomenal views and the very best of Highland Hospitality, you need look no further than Lochshore House, where Karen and Colin ensure an absolutely perfect stay. Thank you xx!

Wow - what an amazing view. The most tranquil place you could have the pleasure to stay. Caren and Colin were the perfect hosts, very knowledgable about the area And they have a lovely home which we were able to share. Breakfast was amazing - lovely homemade pancakes and muffins which we took out with us, served overlooking the water and watching the ducks roam. A relaxing sitting room with skylights was a perfect place to sit with a coffee. Thank you for a wonderful stay which we wish was longer. Please give these guys a try - you will absolutely love it.

Having just spent 3 nights here i would just like to say how impressed we were by the quality of the room and the very friendly and helpful hosts. The location is simply stunning, overlooking a sea loch. If that in its self wasn't good enough we even got to see some otters swimming around. The room we were in was a good size and very comfortable, with an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. There was even a set of binoculars and a blue tooth speaker to use, alongside a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfasts were very very good with a selection of Cereals, juices and a wide range of cooked options too. Some of them offering the freshest (laid that morning!) duck eggs. Frankly i can say without doubt, when we go to Skye again we will stop here if we can.

Arguably the best B&B we have stayed in. We had the “small” room which is actually a fair-sized double with en-suite shower., and shared access to a sitting room overlooking the loch. The breakfasts were first-class with a lot of locally-sourced or actually homegrown ingredients, and Karen and Col were the most welcoming of hosts with a wealth of information about the island. Breakfast time chats with K & C and the other couple staying (there are only two B&B rooms) were a highlight of our stay. Two dogs, several cats, chickens, ducks and a flock of Hebridean sheep complete the picture. The location is superb overlooking the loch, with an excellent gastropub (Edinbane Arms) and a gourmet restaurant (Edinbane Lodge) just a couple of miles down the road, and Portree about twenty minutes drive. Everything spotlessly clean, with great attention to detail. Strongly recommended, and we plan to return next year.

We had a very enjoyable night at Lochshore house, the accommodation is first class with amazing views over the loch . Karen and Colin made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Karen provided an excellent breakfast, with amazing home made bread and muffins! The local inn at Edinbane was only five minutes drive away, and provided excellent food in a relaxing and friendly environment.
