This is a somewhat remote area near Big Bend National Park so you can’t get too picky with your accommodation. Big Bend resorts has two types of motel rooms and and RV park. Their cheaper rooms are $70 plus tax (Mission lodge) and while fairly basic you get what you need for a good rest. The rooms are small but...

First don't confuse this with the Chisos Mountain Lodge located in Big Bend National Park. No matter how much they try to help you at check in you will not be on the register. I failed to make proper plans for my Big Bend trip. At the last minute I was able to book a room at the Mission Lodge. The price and availability are appealing, but the rooms are seedy and maintained poorly. We removed the bedding and replaced them with our own. The comforter had holes and stains. The room was not clean and there was a stain on the wall that my husband to go to great lengths to convince me was due to a plumbing problem. The AC worked moderately well. The shower head at a height appropriate for a small child, which is merely annoying. It is walking distance to two restaurants and is near...

good clean motel close to the park and attraction in terlinua and lajitas. very good place to stay, gas staion nearby and resturants
