Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I enjoyed a three night stay in the lodge. The room was nice and well furnished. The king size bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast buffet was adequate. Overall, our stay was fine. The only issue we had was poor Wi-Fi in our room. We were not able to access the internet on our phones or tablets inside our room. We talked with the front desk, and we were advised to walk over to the Courtyard Lobby for the best signal. That was an inconvenience. Additionally, the television in our room was unable to get any streaming services due to the Wi-Fi problem. TIP: If you need Wi-Fi, especially for Wi-Fi calling due to no cell service, ask for a room near the Courtyard Lobby!

If you are driving to Monument Valley, you have to spend at least a couple of nights in this beautiful structure! It was so relaxing and quiet. Nice rooms, excellent design, very clean. We are happy about this choice. Recommended!

Liked this place a lot, but be warned, Duke's restaurant does not serve booze! After a long day driving and staying at Desert Rose, Went to Dukes restaurant and I was informed that they did not have enough servers to let the two of us have a seat. After 20 minutes, we were able to get to a table. Be warned there is no bar here! Very lovely place, but will not be back.

Thank you for staying with us. And, we're happy that you liked the Desert Rose a lot. However, we're truly sorry to hear that your dining experience was not up to your expectations due to our policy of not serving alcohol. As far as not having a bar, there are no bars or restaurants with bars in Bluff. We regret that we were not able to seat you right away, but our staff does their best to provide excellent service to our customers. Sounds as though the servers were busy with other customers which necessitated the wait. Should you find yourself in this area again, we hope you will give us another try! We sincerely appreciate your business.

My wife and I have been traveling from Michigan seeing some of the national parks are our way to Bullhead Arizona. We had previously booked a room in a small town north of your place (after visiting the Arches National Park and were so disappointed in the place and had no restaurants open within 40 miles, that we turned our key in and left. We drove about 40 miles south and found your place. What a welcome surprise. Beautiful place, extremely clean with all the amenities you could ask for. We give you a 10 out of 10. One question I have, you had the wonderful breakfast in the morning and one of the items was small fruit cut up with some kind of pudding or tapioca, not sure what it is, but delicious, would like to know what this was.

We spent two nights here on a 17-day family vacation through Utah and parts of Colorado. This was the by far the best hotel we stayed at during our trip and was such a pleasant surprise. We had a 2 queen room in the newer building. The beds were VERY comfortable (first good night’s sleep in over a week). Both the room and the bathroom were a lovely size and we even had a small patio to watch the sunset! The indoor pool was large with a view of the hills behind the hotel. The resort advertises as affordable luxury which sums this place up exactly. We stayed at much worse hotels on this trip for the same cost. I highly recommend staying here to explore the region around monument valley and four corners, and hope I can return here in the future.

Check in at this resort was quick and easy. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. They explained the layout of the hotel and offered food suggestions from the local restaurants. There is a laundry on site and a full load takes about 70 minutes to wash and dry. The front desk will give you up to $10 in quarters at a time if you ask. We booked a cabin because we were traveling with one child and two teenagers. The boys had the double beds and our daughter took the couch. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. You can tell they put effort into their design. I didn't get pictures of the living area or kitchen because the kids had already covered the furniture with their blankets. The bathroom is Jack and Jill and the shower was amazing! Plenty of water pressure and the temperature was perfect. They also provide more than enough soaps and shampoo. They serviced our cabin while we were gone the next day, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. The pool was cold and the hot tub was a warm welcome. The gym is on the small side. The equipment is top notch and works as expected. The views are amazing! You can tell they care about their landscaping! We chose to eat at their local restaurant: Duke's. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was even friendlier than the front desk staff! The burgers were amazing and the cheesecake - perfection! My only suggestion would be to upgrade the mattress on the queen bed. It wasn't the most comfortable mattress to sleep on. I would definitely recommend this resort!

I was ready to give this hotel 5 stars because of paying extra for beautiful rooms in the new building, the large saltwater swimming pool and great dining experience at Duke’s, until the morning. Without warning or apology, there’s no water for toilets, showering or drinking. Spoke to several members of staff who were unhelpful & ended up leaving early to use toilets in nearby gas station. Just a little explanation or sympathy would have gone a long way to ease the situation.

I apologize for any inconvenience. We had an electrician trenching for a power line when he hit a 6" water main. So we were scrambling to get the water shut off to our whole block before it drained the Town's water tanks. Unfortunately there was no way to have a prior warning in this situation. Next time you're in town, please remind me of this and I will make it right. Thanks

There are not a lot of options of places to stay in Bluff. We chose Desert Rose Resort & Cabins because of its location. I recommend requesting a second floor room based upon easily hearing feet walking above. If your room is located on the lower level be careful when walking on the porch and sitting on the porch furniture as the surfaces are rough and splinters are possible.

What a true gem! Stay in the new building, it's fantastic. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spotless, the view from our private patios was great, the pool is lovely -- really a great place within an hours drive of Monument Valley.

This place has been well-maintained and is very clean, but its age shows. No complaints at all with our stay, but next time (and we would stay again), will book a cabin or one of the bigger rooms with private patio as the motel style isn’t really our thing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great to have a nice on-site restaurant for dinner. A limited menu, but good variety and quite good.
