Pete and his crew always work hard to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. I've stayed there twice, and I'll be back! Walking distance to the center of Bennington proper, pubs, and the hospital. - Paul Valentine

Clean, all the amenities one would want in an overnight stay. Conveniently located. Walking distance to cafe, coffee shop, and pub. Nice people at the front desk. I would stay there again. Hiker friendly.

Our door would not lock. The motel employee wanted us to stay in room anyway. He said, "You're in Vermont, this is Mr Rogers neighborhood". He finally moved us to another room, reluctantly. All I could think about was the Bates Motel.

Small owner run motel . A bit dated but clean and everything in the room worked .You might have a broken tile in the bathroom or minor damage to the furniture but comfy beds and decent wi-fi . A bonus for us (traveling by motorcycle ) was walking distance (1/2 mi ) to downtown restaurants and shops . If the...

This place is nothing fancy, but it was very clean. It was hiker friendly, offered to shuttle myself and two other hikers back to the motel. They also were able to help us out with laundry. The rates were great too, compared to other places nearby.

Welcoming, clean, quiet, lots of restaurants and basic resupply nearby. Shuttle service offered. Does your laundry for $4. Definitely recommend it for only $50 a room. Best deal in town. Needed break from the mud. Sells soda and cold Gatorade for only $1.

This older place caters to people coming off the AT looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay for a night or two. For the price it is not bad, but I have stayed at La Quinta Inns with a pool and breakfast plus my dog for about the same price. The guy at the front desk was nice enough,...

The Catamount harks back to the way inexpensive motels used to be as one traveled from one small town to another. This is one-story strip of side by side basic rooms with two beds, two chairs, a small table (or were there two?), half-fridge and microwave, tv and a/c. There are no updates here; this is not a budget chain...

Place was very clean. HBO, ac, good beds, coffee machine, fridge, and microwave all in room. Really good stay for price. Friendly staff even let me check out at like 1 which was past the 11 o'clock cut off. They had me switch rooms after my first night(I had no reservations). And the second room was just as good as...

The Catamount Motel is a treasure of a find in Bennington, VT. The owners Alan and Annie are onsite and are welcoming and there for anything that you may need. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are clean, and the motel is well maintained. It may seem a little dated, the walls are a bit thin, and it's certainly not...
