This weekend I took a trip down memory lane to a state that helped enrich my life. Each summer and winter we would head to the Teddy Bear Shop to explore the hundreds if not thousands of various bear-mobilia. My nieces loved it as I saw the same joy to explore in their eyes like I once had as a...

The location is simple to find. Parking is great - feet from the door. The staff is exceptionally warm and kind. Instant friends. The lobby and living room is a great place to relax and chat. The bedrooms are super clean and brightly decorated. Our room (3) has no closet and a tiny bathroom. It was more than workable for...

We felt the great vibes as soon as we were met by Candi, our hostess. She made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. Our room was beautiful and bright. Bathroom a little small, but overall we will go back again and again.

This B&B is in a lovely location, although hot weather meant we needed windows open at night, which then meant that we were woken up by early morning truck traffic. Good sized room - Bear's Den - but small bathroom - no bath and small inadequate shower. Very friendly and welcoming hosts with advice on where to dine (and where...

Richard, It was a pleasure having you here at the Hugging Bear! Sorry about the unseasonably hot weather. We were taken by this early surprise and did not have our air conditioners in yet. Well, they are in now! LOL. I am glad you liked our big homey Vermont breakfasts. We aim to please! We hope you will bless us...

The exterior of the inn and shoppe is so inviting. The are bears hidden everywhere. There was ample free parking and the lady owner was lovely. She left us to ourselves for a long while but did check that we were okay to wander. This shop is on 2 levels, with bargains in the basement along with the biggest collection...

We've been repeat guests at the inn for many years. We've stayed in nearly every room and they're all charming and comfortable. The village of Chester is quaint with New England charm, making it a great place for a getaway. The innkeepers are friendly and delightful. Be sure to check out the shop, which includes specialty teddy bears, puppets, gifts,...

We had one of the larger rooms. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. This is a home that is charming with it's antique architecture, many rooms, lovely staircase, pocket door, big windows and creaky floors. Everything you'd expect from a house this old. The bath rooms are small but clean. The cat Stormy finally came to...

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hugging Bear Inn for Valentine's Day. We were allowed to check in early which helped us get to Okemo to go skiing sooner. When we arrived, we were given a warm welcome by Candy. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and had some great recommendations!! We...

My friend and I spent the weekend at the Hugging Bear Inn in Chester, VT and it was lovely. We spent Friday and Saturday nights. The house is large and homey and while it's not fancy, it's authentic and inviting. Our room was small and cozy. The toilet/shower were in a tiny space and the sink was in the room...

A great charming place to stay. Lovely people who run this place, Bed and Breakfast comfortable and friendly. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are generally large. Our room was a tad smaller than the others, and WiFi a bit unreliable upstairs, but this was not a problem or even a nuisance. Our room was clean and with daily cleaning,...
